Ciara Skips Future’s Name As 2016 Billboard Music Awards Finalists Are Announced On GMA

CIARA THOWS MAJOR SHADE!

(AllHipHop News) This year the 2016 Billboard Awards finalists were announced live on ABC’s Good Morning America.

During a celebration of the announcements by Ludacris and Ciara, who is this year’s host, images of the potential winners appeared on a screen in the background.

As Future’s image came across the screen Ludacris had to fill in for Ciara, as she apparently skipped over or refused to mention her ex and father of her son.

While the FutureHive has since buzzed back at Ciara on social media, neither artist has commented on the matter.

In a statement from Billboard, the Music Awards finalists are based on fan interaction with the music.

Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music. These measurements are tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound.

The awards are based on the tracking dates March 23, 2015 and March 17, 2016, also including Billboard chart dates April 11, 2015 through April 2, 2016.

Drake, Fetty Wap, Future, Wiz Khalifa and Silentó are nominated for the top rap artists, while Future also was nominated for his work with Drake on What A Time To Be Alive.

Take a look at this year’s nominees in the video and below:
