D.L. Hughley Slams Mo’Nique Over Viral Interview: "She’s a Liar”

D.L. Hughley is calling out Mo’Nique, claiming she lied about him during her recent viral interview with Shannon Sharpe on his “Club Shay Shay” podcast.

“Every time I see Mo’Nique these days, she’s doing some greasy ass video with her and her daddy complaining about something or working out,” he said in a video posted on Instagram.

In her Club Shay Shay interview, Mo’Nique claimed her beef with Hughley stems from an issue she had with him over a segment on his radio show. Hughley was not there during her appearance, but his co-hosts asked her to play a game of “Would You Rather,” and asked questions about her husband.

Mo’Nique took offense to the segment and called Hughley to vent about it.

However, Hughley claims Mo’nique is being less than truthful.

“She said I was very dismissive,” Hughley stated in reference to Mo’Nique’s Club Shay Shay interview. “Monique’s a liar. When Mo’Nique did call me, I heard her complaints. I listened to her, and I pulled the segment. So, if I had been as dismissive as she alleges I was, that segment would have aired. It didn’t because I respected her wishes. She’s a liar.”

He went on to address his recent public spat with the actress and comedian, which began over a contract dispute and led to Mo’Nique condemning Hughley’s alleged handling of his daughter’s sexual assault complaint.

“This broad even brought out my daughter’s personal trauma,” Hughley continued. “My daughter was molested, and Monique bought that s### out and told the world that I allowed my daughter to be raped in front of me. The lying muthafucka.”

According to Hughley, Mo’Nique “knows she was lying,” and only stopped when his family members “checked her.”
