Joe Budden is having a laugh at DJ Envy’s expense, clowning the host of The Breakfast Club for doing his job amid the scandal over his alleged ties to a real estate Ponzi scheme.
In a clip from the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the team addresses the arrest of DJ Envy’s former business partner, Cesar Pina. They also questioned iHeartRadio allowing Envy to keep his job at The Breakfast Club amid the allegations.
“I got to give it to Envy,” Budden said. “He’s still at work talking about ‘Morning!’ We as the audience like, ‘N####, you can shut up with that. It’s over for all that.
The rapper-turned-podcaster continued, “Today is the day of reckoning. It’s over for all of that. The Feds is pulling up n####.”
Budden also shared his concerns over the situation, claiming, “Envy looked like he has lost 90 lbs,” before sharing his thoughts on the case.
“I think this is very very severe,” he offered. “I’m not certain I’m not certain how big this is but I think it’s going to be way bigger than this. I’ve been telling you and you that for months,” Budden added, pointing at two of his co-hosts. “I think this is barely scratching the f###### surface and I’m giving grace by just reporting on this.”
Elsewhere during the show, Queenzflip said he had recently spoken to DJ Envy on the phone.
“He’s sending a lot of cease and desists,” Flip shared. He said he’s sending a lot of them, and he said that he’s going to put lawsuits on people that’s defaming his name.”

“I said, ‘Hey guys. I’m doing real estate. This is something that I think you should invest a little bit of money in, try it out. That way you can do it,'” Envy recalled. “Joe Budden told me it was a Ponzi scheme, and I was going to go to jail.”
Budden addressed the clip in a recent episode of his podcast. Check out the clip below.
