Suge Knight and Katt Williams have been ordered to stand trial for taking a female photographer’s camera last year, Billboard reports. After a district attorney presented evidence, L.A Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen ruled that there was enough evidence to support the robbery charges against Knight and Williams as well as a felony criminal threat charge against Knight due to comments made to the photographer during the incident.
Surveillance footage shows Knight yelling expletives to the photographer, Leslie Redden, after he spotted her trying to take pictures of his young son. Redden claims she was attacked by Knight and Williams and they took her camera. Knight’s lawyer, Thomas Mesereau, claims that he was not actively involved in taking the camera and acted as any father would.

Williams’ lawyer, Shawn Holley, said that the camera was taken by a woman in his entourage only so the images of Knight’s son could be erased.
Redden, who also filed a lawsuit against Knight and Williams, suffered a concussion as well as injuries to her hands and wrists during the attack.
Williams and Knight have pleaded not guilty. Knight could be sentenced to life if convicted due to past convictions of armed robbery and assault with a gun. They are due back in court Dec. 11th.
