Wendy Williams’ Family Optimistic Health Update Following Shocking Documentary: “It’s Like A 180”

Wendy Williams

Wendy Williams addressed her battles with addiction and her ailing mental and physical health in a new documentary.

Wendy Williams is working on her health issues after fans shared concerns about the media maven following Lifetime’s new documentary.

Titled Where Is Wendy Williams?, the doc sees Williams break down at various points as she discusses her struggling with her mental health and memory loss since leaving her beloved show in 2021. The two-part series also covers her ailing physical health and her battles with alcoholism and financial issues

In a new interview on Wednesday (February 21), Wendy Williams’ family reported that she is making improvements at a facility to address cognitive issues.

“I spoke with her yesterday and I speak with her very regularly when she reaches out to me,” Williams’ sister, Wanda Finnie, told People. “She is, from what I understand, in a wellness, healing type of environment.”

While the family can’t contact Williams directly, she can reach out to family members. “She is in a healing place emotionally. She’s not the person that you see in this film,” Finnie added.

Williams’ niece Alex Finnie, an executive producer on the Lifetime documentary, said her aunt appears to be turning her life around.

“She sounds really great,” she added. “To hear my aunt now in terms of just how clear she is, just how focused she is on the importance of family and the reality in terms of facing and understanding where she’s at physically and mentally and emotionally, it is like a 180.”
