Rapper 50 Cent has postponed a tour of Europe, just days after Kanye West’s album Graduation stormed to the top of the U.K. album charts, putting 50 Cent’s album Curtis in second place.
According to 50 Cent’s label representatives, a last minute change in his schedule resulted in the postponement of his European trek, which was supposed to run September 18- 25.
50 Cent nixed a highly anticipated performance at the MOBO’s this Wednesday (September 19) as well as an appearance at the Vodafone Live Music Awards, which take place this week in Germany.
The cancellation comes as West’s album Graduation opened the week at #1 on the UK Album’s Chart yesterday (September 17), while 50 Cent’s album Curtis landed at #2.
West’s album Graduation is also expected to top the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart in the United States tomorrow.
The album outsold 50 Cent’s Curtis by over 170,000 copies according to recent sales data.
