A Louisiana judge denied C-Murder’s request to travel to Texas to attend funeral services for UGK group member Chad “Pimp C.” Butler.

C-Murder, born Cory Miller, is currently under house arrest, while awaiting a retrial for the 2002 murder of a 16-year-old inside of a nightclub.

The rapper requested to drive to Port Arthur to attend Thursday’s (December 13) funeral services for Pimp C., who was found dead in his Los Angeles hotel room on December 4.

C-Murder also requested time to see his three children while he was out of town.

Prosecutors objected to Miller’s requests for personal travel and his leaving the area, noting that Sassone had let the rapper attend promotional appearances, family gatherings, a funeral and a book signing last May.

Attorneys for C-Murder previously argued the rapper needs to have the ability to earn money to fund his upcoming retrial for the murder, which is scheduled for February.

A ruling on the defense’s motion to dismiss the case could come in late January.
