Hip-Hop star Busta Rhymes and Miami, Florida rapper Trick Daddy are slated to perform at the University of Central Florida Arena in Orlando, Florida later this month. The show, which takes place January 20th, is billed as The Main Event Concert. The concert will also feature performances by Haitian Fresh and DJ DEMP. The concert starts at 7:00 PM. All seats are priced at $21.50 and tickets can be purchased via tickemaster.com.
Baton Rogue, Louisiana rapper Webbie has revealed details about his upcoming album Savage Life 2. The album features guest appearances by Bryan “Birdman” Williams, Young Dro, Bun B. and various artists on Trill Entertainment, the label launched by the late Pimp C. Featured producers on Savage Life 2 include Mannie Fresh, B-Real, Mouse and others. The first single from the album is “Independent,” which features Lil Phat and Lil Boosie. “Independent” is Webbies third Top 5 Urban hit single. Webbie is also set to tour nationwide to support Savage Life 2 starting in February. Savage Life 2 is due in stores February 26 on Trill/Asylum/Atlantic.
Hip-Hop icon Ice Cube has teamed with DJ Pooh to launch a real-time streaming online streaming television network titled UVNTV.com. The new website utilizes Microsofts Silverlight 1.0 platform, which delivers DVD quality resolution and Dolby surround sound to viewers. “We are thrilled to work with Ice Cube and DJ Pooh, both whom have proven track records and have been at the forefront in music, film and television,” said John Case, general manager, Developer Division, Microsoft Corp. “We see UNVTV as a leading example of the changing landscape of how consumers experience entertainment, and how the industry is seeking new interactive platforms to better reach their target audiences.” Channels on the new website include Snoop Doggs Snoopadelic TV, a show by fashion designer Christian Audigier and other user generated content.
Rapper Baby Bash will make an appearance at the 2008 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo tomorrow (January 9) from 2:00-5:00 PM. The rapper will be on hand to sign autographs to celebrate the release of Girls Gone Wilds Baby Bash Live and Uncensored DVD, which is available on Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. Baby Bash will appear at International Video Distributors (IVD) booth #2025 at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas. “We are excited to be working with Baby Bash,” says Joe Francis, President and CEO of Girls Gone Wild. “His music and attitude are a perfect fit with the Girls Gone Wild lifestyle.”
