Legendary Hip-Hop production unit The Bomb Squad has announced the release of their untitled debut album and world tour, AllHipHop.com has learned.
The album and tour are firsts for the production duo, which currently consists of brothers Hank and Keith Shocklee The new project from the legendary production team will offer a mixture of live electronics, visuals and vocals.
“I want to be a hybrid of man and machine as opposed to being a performer that uses machines,” Hank Shocklee stated.
As a member of The Bomb Squad, the Shocklees helped revolutionize the production of music, with their trademark, multi-layered production techniques.
The brothers have crafted hits for artists like Slick Rick, Peter Gabriel, Janet Jackson and Madonna, as well as producing two seminal Hip-Hop releases by Public Enemy (It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back) and Ice Cube (AmeriKKKas Most Wanted).
The group will debut during the Destruction concert on March 29 in Miami Beach during the Winter Music Conference.
