(AllHipHop News) With the AllHipHop.com presented web-series “Fail” airing its sixth episode this week, the team behind the online urban comedy has released the official first single, “Superficial Girl” by O’Hene Savant, from their upcoming Fail Mixtape Vol. 1 which is set to drop in July.
Savant, who is a native of Philly, plans to follow-up the release “Superficial Girl,” with his debut EP, currently set for release this fall. He will perform “Superficial Girl” (click here to listen) tonight at the BET Music Matters showcase tonight (June 12) at Santos Party House in New York City. Other performers for tonight’s event include Paypa, BJ the Chicago Kid, King Mez, and Clinton Babers II.
The Fail Mixtape Vol. 1 is set to include music from such artists as T-Pain, Diggy Simmons, Jacob Lattimore and more.
“Fail” began airing their second season exclusively on AllHipHop.com on May 31 to a positive response from viewers. The show, which is produced by Hip-Hop legend Christopher “Play” Martin, Vanessa Baden, and James Bland is geared towards an underserved demographic in Hip-Hop – students in middle, high school, and early college.
The comedy depicts a group of co-eds who are on the verge of academic probation as a result of the random misadventures they embark on after class. Contrary to the title, “Fail” is meant to inspire youth to stay in school, a notion that attracted “Play” to the project in the first place.
