(AllHipHop News) Young Jeezy has been named Senior Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records according to Atlanta’s Greg Street, who announced the news last night on his V103 radio show.
The news was then tweeted out by DJ Folk, one of the masterminds behind Jeezy’s CTE movement, and later confirmed by Complex. He wrote, “Young Jeezy is now the Senior VP of A&R over at Atlantic Records. Woah.”
Although no details have been revealed regarding Young Jeezy’s full role in the position, it is interesting to note that he is still signed as a solo artist, with Def Jam Recordings.
Young Jeezy has been with Def Jam since his first album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, was released in 2005, up to his fourth studio album, TM103, which dropped last December.
His most recent feature appears on the new single, “Hold On (Shut Up),” from Machine Gun Kelly’s Bad Boy debut, Lace Up.
