Jeweler Demands Apology From IG User "Exposing" Rappers' Fake Watches; FakeWatchBusta Fires Back

(AllHipHop News) In much the same way the Instagram user known as FakeWatchBusta has used his profile to scrutinize rappers for wearing fake watches, the “watch geek” now has jewelers watching his every post to expose his errors.

TMZ reports one particular photo of a $34,000 owned by Cee-lo had to be deleted from the profile after the poster received a cease-and-desist letter from the Goodie Mob member’s jeweler, Avianne & Co. The company demanded the anonymous IG user post a public apology for wrongly stated the watch was a replica and that it was “the ugliest custom fake #Panerai watch in the world.”

Not only has FakeWatchBusta not offered an apology, the user has decided to further take on the jeweler. This morning the profile added two new posts about Avianne and still refers to the company’s watches as “fake.”

TMZ is showing this fake Panerai that I busted on the account earlier. Must be the worst job ever done. Look at the crown guard and the hands ?

From their own Instagram page. A fake AP Royal Oak Offshore. Look at how the subdial cuts off the 7 and the 5 and look how the date is placed cutting into the Tachymeter. Fake junk.

  • TMZ again….They are doing the most, by starting drama.

  • Terrance Goodman

I follow dude on twitter. He got these costume jewelry fools shook. I will stick to my fossils etc

  • Twonpass

We know rappers be lying about pretty much everything nowadays, this would be no different.

Plus people with real money , don’t flash with jewelry…you don’t need to…you got real money…..duhhh

kind of a silly paradigm if you will… the brokest people always try to look like they got the most money….

    SMDH

    • Sean Taylor

      Tell em!

Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, wears a DJ (DateJust). That’s not even the most expensive model Rolex.

If you have money, you don’t always have to flash to let it be known….

  • Brooklyn Stoop

    keep exposing them………….
rappers dont know what they buying………….all they know its shiny and cost a whole lot so it must be real cause a indian, Arab or jew sold it to them smh
just like with law………..if your name is goldberg shumaker or winestein then he MUST be an excellent lawyer/accountant/manager/etc etc

    • Green Blood

      Stereotypes…they exist.

    • Realist4200

So all rappers are stupid, Arabs and Jewish folks rip people off, and the typical Jewish/lawyer tip.

      You’re one hateful dude.

      • Brooklyn Stoop

if you come from poverty and is not knowledgeable of jewelry then you will get got. are you disputing that? or are you saying that the arabs, jews and indians who sell the blacks they jewelry are honest with them, they are NOT selling them junk?

as for the “typical jew/lawyer tip”………..its not typical lawyer tip, its typical lawyer, accounting, manager etc etc

and you do have black people that think having a jew handling they business mean the business is being handled correctly…………

        as for being “hateful”
i love my people…………..i hate what others do to them

      • Realist4200

You can come from poverty and have a good education, or educate yourself, bro. Stop generalizing and saying all impoverished people are stupid.

Whites, Blacks, Asians, Hispanics – everybody – all get ripped off; it’s how business works. “Duck Dynasty” sells pieces of plastic that sound like a duck – You don’t think dumbass rednecks are being taken advantage of when they buy that? Or some Martha Stewart cooking pots & pans that cost 3x more than the same thing without the brand name?

You’re doing “your people” just as wrong as the con-artists that sell overpriced or false products/services by saying Blacks aren’t just as capable as any other race to make an educated decision on where the money goes to.

      • Brooklyn Stoop

i ignored the 1st one when you said “So all rappers are stupid”
but im not gonna ignore the 2nd one “You can come from poverty and have a good education, or educate yourself, bro. Stop generalizing and saying all impoverished people are stupid”

so watch this…………WHERE DID I SAY THAT?

now what i said was “if you come from poverty and is not knowledgeable of jewelry then you will get got. are you disputing that?” notice i said and is NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE OF JEWELRY………

        i said
“are you saying that the arabs, jews and indians who sell the blacks they jewelry are honest with them, they are NOT selling them junk?”

        you said
“Whites, Blacks, Asians, Hispanics – everybody – all get ripped off; it’s how business works”

        my original post

        “keep exposing them………….
rappers dont know what they buying………….all they know its shiny and cost a whole lot so it must be real cause a indian, Arab or jew sold it to them smh”

        you said
“You’re doing “your people” just as wrong as the con-artists………..by saying Blacks aren’t just as capable as any other race to make an educated decision on where the money goes to”.

i never said black people are incapable of anything……..i said someone not knowledgeable of jewels (contracts, homes etc) will be sold jewelry that might not be real or over priced by other group of people that know that the odds of us knowing the difference between a man made diamond and a real diamond is low.

Don’t forget to include Goldstein, Roth, Rothstein, Silver, Goldman, Falk, Steinberg, Weinstein, Gold, Rosenhaus, Stern, and many other Jew surnames to that list.

  • disqus_wP9qaQP4Hv

Fake or not the moment you ice out a watch, it looses it’s authenticity, value also warranty because a 3rd party who really did not assembly it has tampered with it. Funny how rappers with all the supposedly money in the world buy’s watches due to trends…. real connoisseurs collect time pieces that are timeless, no ice, never been tampered with and i’m not talking about Jacob & Co watches or the spinners… Talking about watches with few around and numbered… maybe about 10 out there… It’s like paintings and i’m not talking about scarface with the world is yours prints 🙂 Let me stop before i go ova they head like Ova 🙂

    • RapItUp

Some guys know what’s up.. Not all rappers buy iced out junk watches. I know Jay, TI, hell, even Gucci Mane referenced “plain Jane” watches that cost tens of times more than an iced out one. It’s really JP to the current trend, like you said.

What I will say, this reminds me of Louis Vuitton making that statement about Rick Ross’s glasses.. I’m sure they weren’t “fake” lenses either (think RR can’t afford a pair of $600-1200 glasses, MAX?? Get real!) But due to his custom alteration, he got all this fake heat. I believe this is the same thing. Could be some feaulexes out there too.. But they sell $6k Breitling at Costco.. Sure a rapper could come up w/ that!

      *loses

      • disqus_wP9qaQP4Hv

lol! Diff btw American spelling and Real English Spelling… Pls look into it but thanks for pointing it out also it’s a discussion that i would have appreciated your opinion on…

      • therealjjohnson

Lol. I agree with your comment. Soon as you customize it, it loses value.

  • HATER PROOF

LOL….ROLEX and CARTIER makes ice out watches…and are the only watches
that gets more expensive with time….period!

    • PorchBoySlim

Rolex doesn’t make iced out watches, and getting them iced out actually makes the value go down.

      • HATER PROOF

yes they do since 1992….go to the official web site my dude!

      • PorchBoySlim

I’m not talking about the ones with a couple diamonds in them. I’m talking iced out like the watch in the top pic. Rolex doesn’t make them iced out. You will have to buy the watch and take it to a jeweler to have them put diamonds in it or buy it from a jeweler, your not getting a iced out watch from a Rolex store and that’s a fact. The diamonds decrease the value my dude .

      • HATER PROOF

yes nigga iced out….go to the official website my dude!

      • Sean Taylor

        “Dude” try and pay attention.

Rolex does not and will not ice out the entire dial, bezel, case, crown guard, crown and bracelet links. If you see a Rolex with that much diamonds they are not Rolex diamonds and it has been done by a 3rd party jeweler.

Even Jay will tell you, “those ain’t Rolex diamonds, what the f*ck you done to that”.

      • Phibes

Actually Jay was wrong saying that because, “Rolex doesn’t make diamonds” & there’s no such thing as a “Rolex diamond”.

      • WeTheLethal

Jay meant diamonds installed on the watch by Rolex.

Rolex will tastefully customize watches with diamonds. It’s the ugly shit that you can tell didn’t come directly from Rolex.

        So Jay wasn’t wrong.

      • Phibes

I know what he may have been trying to say,but what he said was not true.

His actual statement in the song,& the words that were said,
“Those ain’t Rolex diamonds, what the f*ck you done to that”, Is not factual.

Now what he said, & what he may have meant, is to totally different things.

So once again, he was wrong.

      • Phibes

Yes they do & I know this from my own personal experience. They don’t make them with the iced out face like in the pic (which is not a Rolex),but as far as the Bezel & bracelet, they make them like that bro.

      • Phibes

“Rolex doesn’t make iced out watches”

        Now that’s hilarious!!!

      • RapItUp

Rolex will make whatever you pay them to make.. that’s like saying Gucci doesn’t make dressers (clothes storage). Erykah Badu showed us different. Depends on the coin

  • anemia716

who gives a damn? if they’re fake, they’re fake. so what? you didn’t spend money on it. live yours. dude over here riding another man’s wardrobe.

  • Reblogged this on HUEY mix wit RILEY.

  • MrNoName2K

    Chains too..

    • I think the chains would prolly be easier to spot.

  • Lmao dude got enough time on his hand to point out other people’s fugazi’s…seriously who gives a fk

  • Ramesses The Great

If this guy or girl let their true identity be known they could make some money like Nicole Bitchie and Perez Hilton do.

  • W.E.B. Du Bois

it’s good to point fake jewelry out , since rappers make sure we see them in their pics , rap about it in their lyrics etc

Soo…we just believe the anonymous off rip because? If they removed a picture because of a cease and desist order then I believe he was mistaken. If he is sure the watch is a fake, then why remove the picture stating that it is? I’m all for calling a spade a spade…but when you are explaining something to a audience that doesn’t know the difference anyway, some will take whatever you say as fact. Even when its wrong. That’s not fair.

    • WeTheLethal

He didn’t take down the picture. He replaced it with one that has the word FAKE in huge fonts over it. And then posted yet another picture calling it out as fake. He doubled down on his original assertion that it was fake.

Why does this article remind me of those old ads in the back pages of The Source where you could order all that fake jewelry that looked like what rappers wore?

    • MR..ASS..TO..MOUTH..

lmao ….hell yeah ..did you ever see the rims with the jewels in them?

      • therealest1

No, I haven’t. And please spare me with that atrocity.
