Wale To Meek Mill: I Don't "Fit The Mold" Of MMG, But I'm Not A Hater

(AllHipHop News) SHOCKING NEWS ALERT: Wale has been revealed to be a bit different than Rick Ross and Meek Mill. Hours after Meek Mill took to his personal Twitter account defame Wale for not supporting Meek’s latest album news, Wale went to his personal Instagram account to respond to the allegations.

On his personal Instagram account, Wale wrote a lengthy message explaining how he has always supported Meek’s releases on his social media accounts and it was actually Meek who was not reciprocating. According to Wale, he recently supported Meek’s latest single “I Don’t Care (Suicidal)” and did not receive the same support for his latest songs “Razor Freestyle” or Mariah Carey collaboration “You Don’t Know What To Do”:

Few weeks ago (7 weeks). I posted this .but ok. Movin along . My Avi always changed when it’s THAT time .. Ok that’s not enough y’all see “razor ramon ” post on his no. But I don’t care.. I wrote a long ass post day before his single dropped .. Mariah record dropped nobody said a word I didn’t care .. I still don’t… I carry myself with confidence and humility ., I always try to have a lighter side to MMG.. Cuz I understand I don’t “fit the mold” so if I’m tryna spruce an interview up to show that we not tryn be “serious tough guys” on the red carpet Or try to be a bit more engaging to broaden our audience forgive me

One of Meek’s allegations were that Wale does not respond to his private text messages. Before stating he may be bipolar, Wale went on to explain how he has been the one receiving a lack of communication from Meek:

I text niggas happy Father’s Day and get no reply .. I laugh it off .. I laugh at how I write songs about “chain music” and y’all get lost or “600benzz” i like to have fun with our culture. Because I beleive I add THAT to a “gangster rap” faction. I made my opportunity work for me that way. I write poems . I watch wwe . I collect kicks. I’m sensitive ok. Maybe bi polar. But one thing I’m not is a hater.

  • Killuminati

lol why wouldnt they talk like real men? all these peeps use social media like little girls puttin their biz out there…unreal

    • Ipullcards

Meek doesn’t talk like a real man, he rather get over aggressive and just need n send out tweets. That boy need to delete his twitter app smh.. He beef on twitter more than these realty tv stars

      • Killuminati

lol yea truuuu….alot of these rappers need to erase their twitter and IG accts

      • Savimbi

they should and keep the twitter/IGs as fan pages….that over exposure is killing the game,

      • Jovaughn

that and all these f-ing mixtapes.

  • Arrie Mental Woodard

    good reply from Wale!

  • Eli Pinilla

I don’t fux with wale at all….but i know what Kayfabe means and I play the shit outta some zelda.

  • GP

grown ass man watching wrestling, being sensitive and maybe bi polar. smh. I’d drop him from my label. but I give dude credit he kept it real. but to say you don’t fit the fold of mmg why sign with them is my question!

    • Ipullcards

Because he brings a different audience not every hiphop head likes ignorant trap rap. Sorry. And I grew up in the 80’s when shit was real and niggaz wasn’t just banging because of testosterone or pure ignorance.. Just my opinion

      • GP

I mean don’t get me wrong all rap in the 80 wasn’t trap rap but most of it was but it was delivered in a different way then today. im not knocking wale but I think he should have kept his personal like to himself. that’s all im saying.

      • The 80’s were different because no one thought about being fake. Trap rap was made by trappers.

    • Killuminati

because ross was the only one to give him a chance….his first album flopped and he was on his way out….

  • Ipullcards

Wale is just not as fake as other ppl are. He actually cares about ppl. One thing I learne from being on the streets to a classroom and small board rooms is that niggaz don’t have 2 things: morals & values. So what may really be important isn’t to them. Like wishing ur man a happy Father’s Day.. A nigga rather hear: happy Memorial Day we gone turn up in Miami k.o.d.’.. That’s the difference SUBSTANCE! Meek has none. Wale’s in the wrong profession, this hiphop thing is wwe, he should be watching !

    • Infinite8

      Good shit!

  • Slaughtr

Wale you from my neck of the woods DC, DC niggaz confront whoever is running shyt out their mouth no matter where the fck they from you know this. Stop all the punk Twitter shyt hometown got you bro so if you feel you need to step away from them whack motherfukas then do that another situation might benefit you better. That’s what I hate about social media it has niggaz talkin reckless for the crowd lookers, speak eye to eye and dead the shyt. Let those other trash rap ass niggaz fall they running for fame but can’t catch it.

  • Djibril

Wale seem like a cool dude. Props

  • Clondyke Classic

I respect Wale cuz he never claimed to be no kinda gangsta or thug or nothin like that. I don’t respect a fraud ass nigga like meek tho for talkin shit on twitter when you could’ve easily called the nigga or had Ross reach out to him if it was that serious

  • dbfromdc

AT LEAST WALE IS BEING TRUE TO HIMSELF, I CAN RESPECT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!RNS

  • rocnation30

IVE ALWAYS SAID NONE OF THEM NIGGAS ON MMG IS REALLY THAT GREAT….WITH THE EXCEPTION OF RICK ROSS…..WALE ,MEEK MILLS, AND THE REST OF THEM BUMS ARE NOT GOOD THEY ARE SINGLE RAPPERS…THEY WILL HAVE A SINGLE HERE AN THEIR BUT THEIR ENTIRE ALBUMS WILL BE BORING…..ROSS USUALLY HAS TO CARRY AN ENTIRE MMG ALBUM TO MAKE IT ANY GOOD OR WORTH WHILE…….AFTER HE CARRIES THEM ON AN ENTIRE ALBUM HE FINALLY BLESSES US WITH HIS ALBUM THAT TURNS OUT WASHED OUT AND BORING BECAUSE HE HAD TO GIVE THE MMG BUMS SO MUCH MATERIAL….SO IN CLOSING I WILL SAY THIS MEEK MILL IS ONLY HOT RIGHT NOW BUT HE WILL SOON DIE OFF REAL FAST BECAUSE LYRICALLY PEOPLE WILL GET TIRED OF HEARING HIS ASS YELLING AND NOT MAKING A CREATIVE ALBUM THATS ACTUALLY WORTH LISTENING TOO HE SAYS NOTHING …AS FOR WALE EVERYONE KNOWS THE STORY OF A CONSCIOUS RAPPER JUST ASK COMMON, BLACK THOUGHT, TALIB KEWLI, LUPE FIASCO….THEM CONSCIOUS RAPPERS DONT REALLY SUCCEED AND IF U ARENT THAT TIGHT LYRICALLY U EVEN DIE OF EVEN FASTER THAN THE GOOD CONSCIOUS RAPPERS… THEM NIGGAZ MEANING WALE AN MEEK, BETTER HUG AND SHAKE HANDS AND MAKE UP WHILE THEIR SECONDS OF FAME LAST…..SMFH

    • therealwayno

Ross isn’t great. He picks good beats and can ride the flow or melody. Big whoop. Outside of that, not much creativity or subject matter and his wordplay can be substituted from song to song because he says basically the same thing – no matter what kind of song he’s featured on. Wale may act retarded but lyrically he’s talented.

      • Infinite8

        TRUE!

    • El moreno de Queens #Dominican

rick ross is a great cop

  • He finn get dropped like flex drops bomb

  • Mac7504

All this shit is corny…. Rap/singer beef on twatter? “One of Meek’s allegations were that Wale does not respond to his private text messages.” That’s some hoe shit….LOLOLOL Something a bitch would do.

  • Jared

Damn how did Wale end up on top of this situation? I think Meek takes the L on this imo

I’m DC raised South East , DC that is . & I’m a be real , my city was intense in originality at once & somewhat still is but we gotta a new generation now under Wayne & Drake etc.. A lot of people jocked the style of my city from Jay – Z to rappers in Atl but no one would know that because DC has never really truly been exposed like that culture wise . By now our culture is fading , we got gentrification kicking in & everybody wearing tight jeans & small tank top shirts with strips . To me when I listen to Wale I know in my heart he wasn’t living in DC to talk the way he comes off however he was accepted by people in DC because he tried . He did his first video “uptown roamers” in my man’s hood because he let him but Wale is from Silver Spring a very nice non violent area with plenty white people & it’s a spot where nothing bad happens so he already knows that people know that & he feels the eyes beaming on him so he know he can’t say he tough because we know Wale is from Silver Spring , Maryland however he still tries to say little tough stuff ever so often because I guess it makes him feel more of a man & it makes no difference because it’s suckers in the hood too & it’s people who will knock your tooth down your throat in the suburbs so who cares , its all about a corny image to pay the bills . But because I live in DC I know that soon Wale will be no longer on people’s lips at least in DC that is because in DC people are listening to 1. Shy Glizzy or some out of town rappers like mainstream . People listening to 2. Fat Trel & Wale knows that if he shows those two guys love he’ll stay relevant , why ? Because people wanna hear about sex , murder & drugs . To be honest in my city no one get’s more respect than Scarface that is something Wale knows that is the reason Wale got him on his album asap . We all know Scarface can get more respect in DC than even we can because people idolize Scarface & Scarface even knows it . Wale is ready to leave MMG because he’s ready to see DC rappers shine through him & he knows all that’s gonna do is make him look like a don in DC , I’m hip its elementary . Before you know it there will be some kind of DC movement going on because DC has been hungry for years & many in my city are willing to pull their pants down for this game called rap . Many are just trying to live off a old rep & I personally know this . Somebody like me can sit back & look & laugh because it’s all corny & people who are real enough in my city know I’m right . Somebody in my city will shot me in the head if they had to just to impress Jay-Z or Rick Ross
. We gotta lot of bamas being breed these days .

Just like a dc dude always claiming every New Yorker is biting if ya. For the bammas and for your knowledge! Hiphop started in nyc! Not dc! Not anywhere else. So our style u guys took. We popularized Dookey jewelry and grills not the south. Just because we trend away form trends while others hold on to them doesn’t make us biting off anyone. It’s just hot again. Dude gogo music is DC! Stick to that! Having bars of venom in a hiphop form is something dc hasn’t mastered yet!

  • Damn, cats can’t even hollat each other in person no more….anytime they say anything bout twitter it be some bullsht…

  • Jonathan Bacher

Yes wale u ARE a hater. Ive seen you trying to take meeks shine at award shows entrances, interviews, everything.

real boss and put some fear into his people, being a happy friendly
    people pleaser makes you weak..

  • Christopher Thompson

Meek wish he could sell records like wale. Wale already went gold on MMG, Meek not yet. Meek needs to step his game up and stop all that yelling and screaming!

Well said Wale. It’s no shame in having feelings. That’s what a lot of people seem to forget wit this internet shit cuz it’s not cool to have a conscious anymore…Especially on there!

This should be a lesson to aspiring artists to just STAY TRUE and DO YOU–you’ll be better off in the long run. The rap game is set up so you have to align with devils to get put on. Wale had a lot of potential as a spitter, but MMG dumbed him down to just a rap balladeer.
