(AllHipHop News) Def Jam is celebrating its 30 year anniversary with a star-studded concert featuring many of the artists that were signed to the iconic Hip Hop label. While acts like Rick Ross, DMX, and Method Man are set to hit the stage tonight at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center, some of the legends that helped build the company were not included on the bill. Former Def Jam rapper Cormega wonders why some of the greats were left out.
“I’m like a n***a that was on the bench that just got a ring. I didn’t do s**t on Def Jam, so f**k me. I’m not important,” Mega tells ForbezDVD. “But LL, Slick Rick, and Public Enemy – they’re not even on the 30th anniversary. LL Cool J should be the headliner.”
LL addressed the snub during a recent interview. The “Mama Said Knock You Out” emcee revealed he was not asked to perform at the event, but he is not angry about not being included.
