Meek Mill Reveals He’s A Fan Of Future & Lupe Fiasco, Doesn’t Listen To All Of Nicki Minaj’s Music (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) It appears MMG rapper Meek Mill is a member of the #FutureHive. Meek sat down with Power 105’s Angie Martinez this week. During the interview, the Dreams Worth More Than Money album creator was asked which artists’ music is getting the most play from him at the moment.

“To keep it real, I don’t really listen to nobody. I listen to Future, Dej Loaf, Young Thug,” revealed Meek. “Of course the OGs like Jay Z. I don’t really listen to people’s music.”

Meek made it a point to emphasize that no other artists are really inspiring him besides Future. The Dungeon Family affiliate appears on “Jump Out the Face” off Meek’s new album.

The project also features the Philadelphia native’s current girlfriend Nicki Minaj on two tracks. Meek told Angie he does not spend a lot of time checking for Nicki’s more pop-friendly cuts.

“I listen to some songs from Nicki, but I like ‘I Lied.’ I ain’t gonna listen to ‘Anaconda’. Not that type stuff. ‘I Lied’ – I always liked that. ‘Moment 4 Life’, ‘Monster’, all that,” Meek stated. “I ain’t gonna be in the club saying, ‘I’m feeling myself.’ It’s like a girly type song. It’s super dope. I just don’t listen to all of it. I listen to certain ones. Don’t get it wrong. I knew all of Nicki’s rap before I ever knew her.”

Meek mentioned he was really into Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor album when it came out. He also listened to Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, 2Pac, Nas, and Jay during his younger years. However, the “All Eyes On You” rhymer is not that into the music of some of his peers.

“I don’t listen to J. Cole. I don’t listen to Kendrick. I think they’re dope lyricists, great rappers, but they don’t inspire me. It don’t seem like they be talking to me. And that ain’t no hate,” added Meek.
