Nelly’s ‘Country Grammar’ Is Now Certified Diamond

(AllHipHop News) Nelly has a new plaque to hang on his wall.

The St. Louis rhymer’s Country Grammar album is now certified Diamond, signifying over 10 million units in sales and streaming equivalents.

Representatives from the Recording Industry Association of America presented the award to Nelly earlier this week during a show in Philadelphia.

Country Grammar joins 2Pac’s All Eyez on Me, The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death, Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP, OutKast’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, and others on the list of Hip Hop albums to reach Diamond status.

The 2000 release spawned the hit records “Country Grammar (Hot Sh-t), “E.I.,” and “Ride Wit Me.” Just five months after hitting stores, Nelly’s debut sold over three million copies.
