Young Thug did it to Lil Wayne. Desiigner is doing it to Future. Now, Kyng is doing it to Young Thug. The Chickens are roosting.
This kid Kyng is a direct BITE off of Young Thug’s whole style. I feel a bit guilty even writing about it, but Young Thug did a similar move when he tried to swipe Weezy’s Carter series. Now, Kyng is putting out Slime Season 3, but Young Thug already has that. See the trend? But Kyng is more treacherous than that. He has stolen Young Thug’s trademark likeness and it probably going to be a menace to his ATL counterpart. Whew! Hip-Hop is getting hard to defend with these sort of characters poppin’ up. What’s even more ironic, he’s from New Orleans. I wonder if Birdman is aware…
(AllHipHop News) It has long been said that when it comes to power, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Nevertheless, no matter what one thinks of the current state of the Republican party or the highly contentious race between GOP Presidential nominee candidates, the depths to which the political warfare threatens to sink between GOP frontrunners Donald Trump and Ted Cruz is truly circling a metaphorical gutter which few would wish on their own worst enemy – no matter what the political benefit come November.
The latest brouhaha in a Republican race that has included references to penis size and acts of violence on the campaign trail now would seem to include The National Enquirer, and the accusation by Ted Cruz that his in party political rival, Donald Trump has supplied the supermarket tabloid with a damaging story that The Enquirer has released alledging that Cruz has engaged in nothing short of five extramarital affairswith five “secret mistresses.”
Cruz has said that 24 hours before this salacious “tabloid smear” broke in The National Enquirer, Trump had tweeted about Cruz’s wife Heidi Cruz, “threatening her” and “attacking her directly,” in what is believed to have been a t## for tat response to a very suggestive nude modeling photo of Trump’s wife Melania that was central in a campaign ad backing Cruz and questioning Melania’s suitability as a future First Lady.
In addressing the origin as well as the veracity of The National Enquirer’s story and claims, Cruz called the report the work of Trump’s “Henchmen,” going to the length of naming longtime Republican strategist and Trump chief political advisor Roger Stoneas one of the guilty. In Cruz’s denunciation of Stone as the only source on the record for the article, which Cruz has unilaterally categorized as “garbage,” and “complete and utter lies,” Cruz had this to say in regards to Stone’s methods and longtime tenure as a GOP political strategist: “(Roger Stone) is a man for whom a term was coined for copulating with a rodent,” said Cruz, adding: “Donald Trump may be a rat, but I have no desire to copulate with him.”
While Cruz was anything but shy or evasive in his dressing down of Stone as a man “with fifty years of dirty tricks” as a former aide to the much maligned and criticized former Republican president Richard Nixon, when Cruz was questioned directly about whether he would still stick to his promiseto endorse Trump should Trump win the GOP Presidential nomination, the cause and effect ramifications of Cruz’s wrath in response to what he has called the “sleaze” tactics of Trump quickly became murky. Cruz declined to give a direct answer to the query, as reported by The New York Times, sticking to the decidedly noncommittal response: “I don’t make a habit out of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my family.”
Everybody is talking about Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. The movie has gotten very mixed reviews from both fans and critics alike. Now, I encourage every comic fan to see it, even if the movie isn’t great. It is worth seeing at least once – just don’t get popcorn. Keeping it real, I will be seeing it a second time after unexpectedly not knowing that it would be difficult to stay awake at certain parts of the movie. That is not a diss in and of its self. That is to say the second time around, I know what to expect. Click here to read a the official review.
5 GOOD THINGS!
1) BEN AFFLECK ROCKS
Don’t think we don’t remember those memes you all had. (“We” is team Affleck!) You laughed at Ben. And you then used your little apps to laugh some more. Sure, he botched Daredevil and was a version of Superman. But, the Ben Affleck that shows up as the Dark Knight in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is world class. In fact, he really puts all other Batmen to shame. Mark my words: He is Heath Ledger to Christian Bale’s Jack Nicholson. I firmly think they need to move quickly on a new Batman movie, but first…
2) WONDER WOMAN GOT NEXT!
It is literally a beautiful thing to see a female lead coming in a superhero movie. When is the last time we saw one of those? It has also truly been decades since folk have seen a visual on Wonder Woman that mattered. All of that changes with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. We’ve been seeing her look over a year, but she truly came through in every way in “Batman vs Superman.” She is the biggest winner of BvS and we (you included) cannot wait to see the Amazonian warrior princess on the silver screen. Wonder Woman will hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
Shout out to Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman.
3) THE FIGHT SCENES!
There are a number of battle and fight scenes in “Batman vs Superman” and they are all ridiculously entertaining. There is not more to say. If you have yet to see them, you are in for a treat.
5 BAD THINGS
1) THE RUN TIME OF BvS
I am all good for a long, epic saga. However, this ain’t it. There has been a tendency to make superhero flicks something other than superhero flicks. There is an innate desire by movie makers to offer deeper themes, subject matter and weightier material. This has made for great movies like 2008’s The Dark Knight or Captain America: The Winter Soldier. There have also been duds. Batman vs Superman brood for about 45 minutes – needlessly! After seeing all the action-filled trailers, fans wanted to see a rush of adrenaline. We knew it would brood along, but I truly had no idea. At 2 and a half hours, I would have preferred they cut some of the plot for a more basic flick. Go figure. Basic. Set-up. Plight. Fight.
2) THE PLOT
I really wish I could delve more into the plot, but I am not here to spoil it. But, I have to say it was a convoluted mess, in my opinion. I know these are strong words, but they are the only words that come to mind. BvS represented the “DC Takeover” and we were all ready to bear witness. Because of this, I believe they felt the need to put everything – including the kitchen sink. There are far too many plot holes, unnecessary features and STUFF! When you see it, you will know what I mean.
3) SAD AFFLECK
Ben Affleck did what he was supposed to do. Ben bulked up with roughly 20 pounds of muscle and was ferocious as Batman. He was ridiculed before the movie and now…it happens again. The issue is Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. The movie is unoriginal, top-heavy and overly ambitious. Zack Snyder’s movie did its job though. It has already broken records and is expected to rake $180 at the box office opening weekend. That is a real-world victory for the director. For us fans – not critics – we’re left to wait for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, which does not hit theaters until May 6.
With the perfect mix of silliness and shock value, Bizarre delivers a new song that’s bound to satisfy fans of his work. Azealia Banks was gone from Twitter. YAY! And now she’s back. OH. Well, at least she came back with boobs. Her own boobs. A lot of people have alway stated that homegirl’s antics overshadow her music. Well guess what she does? Offers up a mixtape cover that shows off her ample breasts.

(AllHipHop News) With the resurgence of a West-Coast Hip-Hop movement backed by Kendrick Lamar’s 7 Grammy’s and multiple achievements, the spotlight is shining bright on the city of Compton, California once again.
This time the light shines bright on the small Los Angeles sub-city in a new A&E series that’s set to hit television this Spring.
While A&E has yet to release an official statement on their website, a recent interview with Compton rapper Payso revealed that the show will be called Straight Into Compton and will take viewers on a behind the scenes ride of one of LA’s most notorious communities.
“I took them to my main street Nord St. and they brought all the cameras out, they had a big ass van and the cameras and cranes swinging around. I was sitting on top of the house that I grew up in. They had all my homies out from my hood and sh*t,” Payso explained.
“They had all my homies on the porch, they interviewed damn near everybody from my ‘hood. They talked to my My Momma my Granny, all that s###. Then they took me to my elementary and I was telling them little stories about what happened. Then we walked through my whole hood and I did some freestyles. It was a pretty decent interview”
According to Payso there are several other rappers from Compton that will also be featured in the doc including Game, AD, and YG to name a few.
Compton rapper AD, who was featured on The Game’s most recent album The Documentary 2.5, also Tweeted out an image of him working on the A&E series.
Currently Payso has been steady at work on creating visuals for his most recent mixtape, The Plug and was featured on Ray J’s newest song, “Real Life Playa.”
Many regarded the song as Ray J’s official response to Kanye West for mentioning Ray J on The Life of Pablo.
Check out Payso’s most recent video for “Man of the Year” below:
(AllHipHop News) Today (March 25th) VladTV dropped an interview with Quentin Miller and some unknown information came out related to the Meek Mill and Drake beef from last year.
In the interview, media insider Taxstone is shown in a pop-out-screen revealing that Meek Mill and his Dreamchaser crew beat up Quentin Miller.
“Meek wanted the mu’f#### to write for him,” Taxstone said. “Quentin Miller wouldnt write for him, so they blew it up like ‘this mu’f#### write for Drake.’ That’s how it really came out and that’s why Dreamchasers beat Quentin Miller up in LA.”
Upon seeing the clip with Vlad, Quentin began to explain what really happened that day. Quentin Miller confirmed the beatdown at Footlocker in LA and after all of the beef with Drake and Meek.
“Yea its true,” Quentin Miller said repeatedly laughing. “They caught me. We was walking, I was in LA and I walking to the Nike store and he approached me and this was really my first time talking with Meek. And he basically told me like, you know he didn’t appreciate the letter that I dropped, and that it made him seem like he was a liar and stuff. And they stole off in my Nike store and ran. I shed blood in the Nike store on Wilshire. I shed blood in the Nike store”
“I’m really bout this life,” Quentin Miller laughed as he beat on his chest. “But nah that s### is real. As far as details about that other s###. I’m not going to detail that. As far as DJ Drama, I always got love and respect for DJ Drama. As far as Meek Mill I dont get them, I don’t get how he moves or why they make the decisions they make, but I guess that’s just who they are, its whatever.”
No cops and no charges were pressed according to Quentin. Quentin asserts that he’s not at “street n*gga,” and said “They can have that.”
Check out the full clip below via VladTV, more news as details emerge.
Nardwuar is back in action after suffering a stroke a few weeks ago and is starting to unleash all the interviews he did at SXSW. First up, DJ Khaled. The hip-hop mogul spoke on the importance of vinyl records, classic Miami songs, the key to success and much more.
The romantic comedy centers around a couple (Karrueche and Marques) who try to find ways to integrate the two different cultures of their respective families.
Currently Karrueche is nominated for two Emmy Awards for her shows The Bay and Vanity Series.
“Its such a blessing and I’ve just started my acting career,” Karrueche said. “For me its just really really awesome and I’m just happy and thankful.”
“I will say she is very talented, its amazing to work with her on set. Very fun, very funny, you know a lot of people don’t know how funny she is, but they’ll see in this film. We had a great time.” Marques Houston recalled of working on set with Karrueche in the new film .
“We play Courtney and Travis, we have a relationship, and my character Travis is ready to pop the question. But there’s some stipulations and some things that he hasn’t told his girlfriend yet. Then she kind of does this surprise get together with the family and then the families collide,” Marques joked.
When asked if they have ever experienced something like that, both Marques and Karrueche said that they had “never experienced” anything like that in their personal lives.
“I thought about that and I’ve never experienced that ever.” Karrueche said laughing. “Especially not like his parents.”
“My parents in this film Witney and Clifton are just really insane,” Marques added.
A Weekend With the Family debuts April 1st, check out the trailer below:
(AllHipHop News) Michael Jordan says he has received a bad rap for hating Hip-Hop music.
”MJ wasn’t at this party, doesn’t know N.O.R.E., and is a fan of ALL music. Drake is in his brand, and Nelly is a partner of his with the Charlotte Hornets,” a rep for the famous billionaire hooper told TMZ.
Nore is sticking to his side of the story and he goes into detail in this exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com.
However, Nore took the story a step farthing and chided Michael Jordan for his largely apolitical stance. This is not the first time, the NBA mega star has been criticized for not speaking out, particularly when Black
“If you look at Michael Jordan, he’s never made a statement about Black Lives Matter, he’s never made a statement about the police brutality…he’s never actually acted Black,” Nore said exclusively to AllHipHop.com. “Even his bell-bottom jeans…who Black and cool looks like that? He wears the bell-bottoms…those never been hot in the Back community.”
Inglewood rapper King Lil G drops his “Cold Christmas” track, the first song released from his forthcoming album Lost In Smoke 2 due out April 20th on DEL Records. “When I wrote this, I was inspired by the unconditional love a mother can give a kid. Overall I wanted to give a message that life is not about materialistic things. Faith in God and Love can take us to the right places in life,” explains King Lil G.
Fans can join King Lil G at his hometown album release show on April 22nd at The Novo by Microsoft (formally Club Nokia). Tickets are on-sale at 10AM PST today at: http://www.thenovodtla.com/events/detail/308617
N.O.R.E sparked a bit of controversy earlier this week on a Rap Radar Podcast where he claimed that Michael Jordan once said “f*ck rap” at a Def Jam party. N.O.R.E claims MJ is a true hater of Hip Hop, and went on to say that Jordan wouldn’t allow his likeness to be used for the “Oh No” music video. N.O.R.E said there were plenty of rappers waiting to speak to Michael Jordan at the party, but he only spoke to Jay Z.
“MJ wasn’t at this party, doesn’t know N.O.R.E., and is a fan of ALL music. Drake is in his brand, and Nelly is a partner of his with the Charlotte Hornets.”
Now it was one thing to get your rep to lie about your stance on Hip Hop, but to say you weren’t at the party at all. N.O.R.E proved otherwise. It doesn’t matter what Michael Jordan says, y’all are still going to camp out for those J’s lol.
BJ The Chicago Kid was one of the many artists at this year’s SXSW and during his time there he sat down with Complex Magazine for a quick interview. The emerging R&B star spoke on his experiences working with Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige and other notable names, and reveals what artists are in his playlist these days.
Iggy Azalea decided to shake things up just days after revealing that she once had suicidal thoughts. Iggy stopped by Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’, where host Andy Cohen took time out to highlight Nicki Minaj’s BET Awards acceptance speech. In the speech Nicki stated,
“If you hear Nicki spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it.”
Cohen went on to ask Iggy if she believes that was a shot at her, and how does she respond to critics who have issues with her not writing her own rhymes. Iggy replied saying,
“I have just as many people on my writing credits as she has on hers. I know I write mine, and if she writes hers, I believe her too. But you can’t look at the credits and be like, oh look at this massive difference! It’s the same number of people on both.”
Iggy says she doesn’t know if Nicki was taking a shot at her directly or not, but she’s only concerned when someone says her name as she doesn’t have time to speculate. Although Iggy didn’t say too much, it might not have been a good idea to stir up anything with Nicki Minaj, especially since Iggy stated that cyber-bullying made her have suicidal thoughts. Andy and Iggy were playing ‘I Plead The 5th,’ so maybe Iggy should’ve taken that option.

Rumor has it that Big Sean and Jhene Aiko have a joint album on the way. Perhaps this is the reason the two have been spending so much time together over the past year. The album may be released as a surprise since there hasn’t been any promo for it. Allegedly Big Sean believes the album will do well. A source close to the two says the album will have a nice combination of fast and slow beats with Sean rapping and Jhene singing the hooks? What are your thoughts? Are you a fan of Jhene Aiko’s music?
