Hip-Hop Rumors: K. Michelle and Erica Mena Beefing Over Rich Dollaz?

There’s a lot of words on the street when it comes to the Love & Hip-Hop franchise but I overheard something else that I needed to share. We already know that K. Michelle and Erica Mena have some beef going on. It’s so bad that they can barely be in the same room with each other but the whispers are saying that Erica popped off because she thought Rich was trying to move in on her on-off again man/manager Rich Dollaz.

We know that K. Michelle can saaaaang and Rich is a smart guy when he wants to be so when it got back to Erica that Rich may have been talking business with K. Michelle, she wanted to put the kabosh on that early (since we know that Rich likes to mix business with pleasure) and took it out on K. Michelle.

In fact, this seems to be a recurring cycle now in the Rich/Erica saga but K. Michelle ain’t thinking about Rich romantically or from a business standpoint.

That’s all I heard but I guess we’ll have to see what happens when Love & Hip-Hop returns.

Hopsin is running rampant again. He’s got a dope new video called “Hopin Is Back” and it co-stars his doo-rap. He went hard and then took a hard left on Kanye and Kendrick. He basically says that Yeezus was some BS and that Kanye overstepped his bounds. On Kendrick, he basically pops of some funny lyrics about his height and whatever.

Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Are Reportedly Engaged

(AllHipHop News) Celebrity couple Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are reportedly preparing to officially tie the knot. According to E! News, Kanye put a ring on it in San Francisco last night.

West apparently rented out AT&T Park and gathered together friends and family to ask for the reality star’s hand in marriage. The two tabloid regulars were in the Bay area to celebrate Kim’s birthday and for the San Jose stop of Kanye’s “Yeezus Tour.”

The “New Slaves” performer and the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star have been dating publicly since 2012. The couple have a child together; four-month-old North West.

Besides the birth of their first child and getting engaged, 2013 has been a lucrative year for Kim and Kanye as well. Forbes recently reported that their combined income over the past year was an estimated $30 million making them the fifth highest earning celebrity couple during that time.

Fake Rock Star Who Worked With Game Sentenced To 7 Years For Bank Fraud

(AllHipHop News) Many people have tried to live by the phrase “fake it ’til you make it,” but wannabe rock star Robert Mawhinney is an example of how that philosophy can land you behind bars. Mawhinney, who performs under the stage name Robb “TaLLLLL” University was convicted of swindling four banks out of million of dollars in order to portray the lifestyle of a successful rock star.

The lead singer of the band Lights Over Paris was sentenced to seven years in prison after being found guilty on four counts of making false statements to federally insured banks and one count of money laundering. Mawhinney apparently received a total of $11 million in bank loans after claiming to have assets worth $8 million, but his net worth was actually closer to $10,000.

Mawhinney used the illegal loan money to pay for a studio, a luxury high-rise Los Angeles apartment, trips around the world, a $750,000 tour bus, and music videos. One of those videos featured rapper Game. The Game collaboration “I’m Not A Gangsta” was on Lights Not Paris’ EP Turn Off the Lights. The video currently has around 56,000 views on YouTube.

FBI Informant Accused Of Killing Lil Phat Appeared With Him In Reality Show Pilot (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) The case surrounding the murder of rapper Lil Phat has more twists and turns than an episode of Law and Order: SVU. The latest revelation comes in the form of video of accused killer and FBI informant Mani Chulpayuev appearing with Phat (born Melvin Vernell III) weeks before the rapper was gunned down in an Atlanta hospital parking lot in 2012.

WSB got access to the footage of a television show pilot featuring Chulpayuev. In the clip the owner of a luxury car rental service can be seen introducing Phat to the camera and calling him “one of his good customers.” The former Russian mobster claims the video is evidence that he had no ill will toward Phat and had no reason to kill him.

Authorities believe Phat was murdered in a killing-for-hire plot over stolen drugs. Four other men, including Chulpayuev’s business partner Decensae White, were also charged in Phat’s killing.

Chulpayuev is accused of providing GPS information of the car Phat was driving to the hired gunmen, but he has denied any involvement with the shooting. It was revealed last month that Chulpayuev was an active federal informant tasked with gathering information for suspected drug dealers.

Eminem, Kendrick Lamar & Nicki Minaj Up For YouTube Awards; Earl Sweatshirt & Tyler The Creator To Perform

(AllHipHop News) The first annual YouTube Music Awards is slated to stream live from New York City on November 3rd. The video site has now released the nominees for its inaugural showcase and a few rap acts will be competing for trophies that night.

Young Money’s first lady Nicki Minaj, Detroit rap legend Eminem, and Seattle-based duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will face off in the “Artist of the Year” category along with other superstars like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Justin Bieber.

Macklemore & Lewis’ hit single “Thrift Shop” is nominated for the YouTube Phenomenon award. The two will also compete against Black Hippy member Kendrick Lamar in the YouTube Breakthrough category.

Nominee Eminem has already been announced as a performer for the show. Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, the Creator will be on hand to hit the stage for a performance as well. The show will also feature M.I.A., Lady Gaga, and Arcade Fire. Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts are booked to host.

EXCLUSIVE: Bow Wow Details First Official Release For Cash Money

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Bow Wow is planning to showcase a more mature side of his rap career, with an upcoming mixtape that is slated to drop at the top of the year.

According to Bow Wow, the untitled mixtape will reunite the rapper with the man who discovered him – Snoop Lion.

Bow Wow told AllHipHop.com that the mixtape will be eight tracks and will be narrated by Snoop Lion.

“It’s a movie, it’s unlike anything that has ever been put together before,” Bow Wow told AllHipHop.com. “Snoop is narrating it, and of course I’ve got the movie to go with it, so that’s [the mixtape] is how I am launching my first official project off Cash Money.”

Bow Wow also revealed that the mixtape would be accompanied by visuals, that would make up a movie.

Bow Wow told AllHipHop.com that he decided to put his recording career on hold, as he focused on his hosting duties at “106 & Park.”

He also said his Cash Money debut will feature more mature content, since he has grown in life, which includes his new gig at BET as well as the job of being a father.

“When I started at BET I didn’t want to attack it and make it look like I took over ‘106 & Park’ to pump my s**t,” Bow Wow explained to AllHipHop.com. “I had to approach that s**t like a real job and take it over. As you can see, I put out no videos on the countdown, I didn’t do none of that. I wanted to get a full year in before I got back into that and I was waiting for more material I had my daughter, she’s going on three.I got alotta s**t to now right about and go in-depth with.

Cee Lo Green Pleads Not Guilty To Drug Charge (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) While Cee Lo Green was able to avoid a sexual assault charge, the star of NBC’s The Voice was arraigned on charges stemming from allegedly giving a women ecstasy yesterday. TMZ reports that Green appeared in court with his lawyer and pled not guilty to the offense.

In 2012, a women accused Green of drugging her and then sexually assaulting her. The assault case was dismissed by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office due to insufficient evidence.

When asked by a TMZ cameraman if he was scared Cee Lo replied, “not at all.”

If convicted, the Goodie Mob member could face up to 4 years in prison. His bond was set at $30,000.

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has brought controversy into the conversation surrounding his the Yeezus tour, as he has been selling merchandise with the Confederate Flag on it.

Historically, the Confederate Flag is a symbol of racism, particularly those that want to continue with the American institution of White Supremacy.

The shirts were designed by Wes Lang, an artist, and the displays were first revealed on the Seattle stop of the tour.

Kanye has not explained why the art is so prevalent in the artistic vision for his tour mercy.

Fail of the Day: Man Shoots His Wife After Fighting With Her Ex-Boyfriend

An Ohio man accidentally shot his wife during a brawl with her ex-boyfriend. The couple was dropping off the wife’s daughter at her mom’s house but the child’s father came out and started beefing with the new man in his babymama’s life. Ex-boyfriend pulls out a gun and a scuffle ensues. The wife is filming the whole thing even up to when she gets shot. This is madness. Check it out:

WTF News: Mother Jailed For Purposely Burning Son’s Penis and Nipples

A Massachusetts woman was jailed for up to 30 years after burning her 19-year-old son’s penis and nipples with a lighter. The perpetrator, Christine Gelineau, plead guilty to first-degree assault and witness tampering after she forced her son to lie about the abuse but the truth eventually came out.

Via the Mirror:

At a hearing in New Hampshire the youngster described in detail the brutal abuse she subjected him to.

“Dear ex-Mother,” he began as he read from a prepared statement. “What you did to me is unforgivable.

“You beat me, starved me, almost chopped my penis off, threw my clothes away, wouldn’t let me bathe.

“You almost killed me by having me take three (antidepressants) and two muscle-relaxers.

He continued: “Now that I know you’re a complete criminal and only wanted me dead so you could go back to your old life.

“You won’t be able to attend my graduation or see me go on to college, so I wish you goodbye. I hope you realize you have lost everything you had.”

In the affidavit for the case Gelineau admitted to burning the tip of her son’s penis, but claims she only did so after he threatened to have sex with her.

She then put on gloves and grabbed and twisted his penis before holding a lighter to it for several seconds.

The boy suffered second and third degree burns and permanent nerve damage. His mom is a disturbed animal and deserves every bit of that 30 years plus more.

Diddy Addresses Kendrick’s “King Of New York” Line

(AllHipHop News) All Sean “Diddy” Combs had was a few quips after Kendrick’s “Control” verse dropped.

But, the mogul had changed his tune a bit in a recent conversation with Big Boy of Power 106 in Los Angeles.
“When I was coming up, I always stated I was a king because I knew who I was. That’s like knowledge of self. So with [Kendrick] being a king, he’s a king, Jay’s a king, Ye’s a king but there are some cats that are not kings. You got to be a prince sometimes before you can be a king,” Diddy told Big Boy.

Then Diddy explained why the Compton upstart was a modern Hip-Hop king.

“Kendrick is deserving of his crown because he took hip-hop and put it on his back so crazy and has given birth to a whole type of real hip-hop generation that we needed to come back and it came from a cat that was, ironically, from the West Coast,” Diddy continued. “He went back to the essence of what hip-hop is about.”

Eminem To Kick Off 2014 Tour With Kendrick And J. Cole

(AllHipHop News) Eminem has recently announced that he will be touring early 2014 and will have Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole with him on certain dates.

Billboard magazine reports they the trio will offer four stadium concerts in New Zealand. In addition to J. Cole and Kendrick, Action Bronson, Aussie rapper 360 and New Zealand artist David Dallas will join the self-proclaimed “rap god.”

All the dates are: Auckland, Feb. 15), Melbourne, Feb. 19; Brisbane, Feb. 20; Sydney, Feb. 22.

Eminem is set to drop his Marshall Mathers LP 2 in November.

Rich Homie Quan’s Birthday Bash Hosted By Trinidad James

Think It’s A Game Entertainment (TIG) shut the city of Atlanta down at the celebratory birthday party for label artist, Rich Homie Quan at celebrity hot spot Mansion Elan.  From the glistening branded ice sculptures to the  dipped in new money green head-to-toe body painted models stamped with the Quan logo, complete with heavy artillery, the night proved most victorious.  A packed and energetic crowd rapped along as the birthday boy  performed his hit song “Type of Way” joined on stage by label mate Trinidad James. Rapper, Cyhi The Prynce plus newest label artists Jacquees and ForteBowie turned up sufficiently at the double toasted birthday bash.

 The event also marked a splendid celebration for Think It’s A Game Founder and Visionary, who has swiftly escalated and progressively established the climb of the company’s success and signing of two of the music industry’s hottest artists in the game. Family, friends and the entire Think It’s A Game staff came out to support the beloved and successful businessmen.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Gangsa Disciples Confront Waka Flocka in Chicago

Waka Flocka ain’t never scared, so it’s no surprise that he stood off with some Chicago goons claiming to be Gansta Disciples. The video starts with Waka seemingly greeting fans and then goes left when some random dudes start reppin’…from across the street.

Situations like this can get really crazy, really fast so Waka and his entourage did the right thing by walking away. Someone in Waka’s camp could have gone to jail or even been killed and for what, pathetic excuses of men who feel so lost and insecure that they have nothing better to do than try to drag other people into their madness?
