Marcus432: From Producing Beats in College to Independent Music Artist

As an independent artist with no record label, Marcus432 draws inspiration from a wide range of musicians

Independent artist Marcus432 is carving a name for himself in the music industry. Although music wasn’t always a top priority for the Bay Area native, he realized his love for the craft after he taught himself how to produce and record music.

Marcus432 started producing beats using Logic Pro X as a freshman in college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He soon began recording and engineering songs for other artists on campus. As his skills improved, he built a recording studio in his bedroom. The studio attracted many artists, and Marcus432 produced and engineered their songs.

Marcus432 eventually started creating his own tracks from start to finish. He began with comedic music as he was getting the hang of everything, then gradually took his craft more seriously as the years went on. He promised to never stop making music as long as he felt like he was improving as an artist.

Despite facing mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, Marcus432 overcame them through music, meditation, and self-hypnosis. He shared that music was his replacement for basketball, which he cared about the most while growing up, but he wasn’t good enough to play professionally.

As an independent artist with no record label, Marcus432 draws inspiration from a wide range of musicians, including Mac Miller, Logic, Drake, The Kid Laroi, 24kGoldn, Russ, and Wiz Khalifa. Through his music, Marcus432 wants listeners to realize that they can forge their paths and achieve anything they want in life by taking control of their minds. He aims to empower and inspire people to become their best selves.

Marcus432’s 3-part EP is currently in the midst of a rollout. With his talents and dedication, Marcus432 is an artist to watch out for in the future.
