DJ Quik “Speaks Up” For The African American Community On “Black Friday” Song

LISTEN TO THE WEST COAST LEGEND’S LATEST SINGLE

(AllHipHop News) DJ Quik felt the need to get some things off his chest, so the West Coast rap legend dropped the new track “Black Friday.”

“I wrote this piece because I don’t like the tumultuous air surrounding Black People,” states Quik. “Someone had to speak up for the African-American community on this ‘Black Friday’ and I elect me to do so.”

The song includes the rapper/producer addressing police brutality, natural hair, 2Pac’s murder, urban crime, and more.

Quik’s “Black Friday” arrives shortly after the controversial police shootings of Terence Crutcher in Tulsa and Keith Lamont Scott in Charlotte.
