(AllHipHop News) This season of Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta has been highlighting Shad “Bow Wow” Moss’ attempt at a musical comeback. In a scene from tonight’s episode, Bow Wow sits down with his mentor Jermaine Dupri and fellow rapper Da Brat to present them a song that could be a single for his upcoming project.

“This the one I want,” Bow tells everyone in the studio before playing the record.

Despite the 30-year-old’s enthusiasm for the track, Dupri didn’t seem to agree with his protégé. The Songwriters Hall Of Fame inductee responded, “I don’t know if that’s the single though.”

Shad Moss and Jermaine Dupri have a 20-year working relationship. The platinum Bow Wow albums Beware of Dog and Doggy Bag were created under the tutelage of JD.

Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta airs Thursdays at 9 pm ET on WE tv.
