Rapper DMX missed
another scheduled court date in White Plains City Court yesterday (Apr. 10). The
rapper, born Earl Simmons, failed to appear at a pretrial conference related to
various driving violations related to a June 2 incident in which the rapper was
stopped for driving his SUV at high speeds. DMX
was also ticketed for making an unsafe lane change and was not wearing a seat
belt when he was pulled over.Yesterday
Judge Brian Hansbury gave the rapper a one-day reprieve but ordered DMX to appear
in court today (Apr. 11) or a warrant would be issued for his arrest. DMX
is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle for driving
with a suspended license. He was also issued tickets for the unsafe lane change
violations. Simmons
failed to appear in court last summer to answer the charges and an arrest warrant
was issued for the rapper. He
was jailed on June. 28 and released on $2,500 bond on June. 30.
