(AllHipHop News) It has been an up and down couple of years for YoungBoy Never Broke Again. The 20-year-old rapper has had to deal with accusations of domestic violence, going to prison, and being shot at in Florida.
Today, YoungBoy has a reason to celebrate because of an accomplishment connected to music. His AI YoungBoy 2 project debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 110,000 equivalent album units.
Those sales numbers give the Baton Rouge native his first #1 on the chart. AI YoungBoy 2 collected 145 million on-demand streams, the tenth biggest first-week streaming total for an album in 2019.
In addition, Lil Tjay’s True 2 Myself premiered at #5 (45,000 units) and Wale’s Wow… That’s Crazy opened at #7 (38,000 units) on this week’s Billboard 200. YoungBoy joins 21 Savage, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Future, Juice Wrld, Nav, Logic, Tyler, The Creator, Dreamville, NF, Drake, Young Thug, Post Malone, and DaBaby as the only Hip Hop/rap acts to top the album chart in 2019.
