Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Meek Mill Get Robbed At During A3C?

From what I heard, the streets are on FIRE in Atlanta. They are saying that Meek Mill got robbed surrounding the events called The A3C festival. A3C was dope and honestly, there were next to no reports of anything crazy happened. Then THIS leaked:

So, at the time, nobody knew what was going on or, more significantly who got robbed. BUT, as the streets heard about the wealth of the person robbed, the streets got to talking. Suddenly, I am getting rumors that Meek Mill was the one that was robbed down at the Hilton Hotel in Atlanta. BUT, there was some confusion.

It seems that one of Meek’s dudes, somebody named Louie V Gutta (Dream Chasers artist) was robbed at a Waffle House and people are confusing the two situations. I don’t know these guys like that. This is what was told to me, but I see there are written reports to support the rumors of this. Somebody posted the following video.

SO, long story shorts, I don’t believe Meek Mill was robbed in the A at all. In fact, the person that did get robbed still remains nameless.

Viral Video Pushes Kanye’s “Gone” Into Top 20 On The Charts

(AllHipHop News) It only took one viral video for a Kanye West song off 2005’s Late Registration to hit the top 20 on Billboard. Ye’s “Gone” was used by video editor Marina Shifrin in the extremely popular clip of her quitting her job. Shifrin’s video currently has over 15 million views on YouTube in just 2 weeks.

The success of the video titled “An Interpretive Dance For My Boss Set To Kanye West’s Gone” led to the song getting downloaded 9,000 times according to Billboard. Add in a reported 6.2 million streams in the United States and “Gone” lands at number 18 on the Hot 100, number 6 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song, and number 4 on the Rap Songs charts respectively.

Despite releasing his 6th album Yeezus in June, “Gone” becomes Kanye’s highest charting song on the Hot 100 in 2013. “New Slaves” previously peaked at 56 while “Black Skinhead” reached number 69 and “Blood On The Leaves” currently sits at number 89.

Rick Ross Announces Release Date For “Mastermind”

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West took to Jimmy Kimmel for an exclusive interview, where the pair clarified their position with each other. The rapper had taken issue with a skit that Kimmel played on his late night talk show that mocked a BBC interview. Kanye returned with a barrage of disparaging tweets to which Jimmy Kimmel responded with an unflattering comedic monologue. However, the pair, who are very familiar with each other, set aside their public differences for this exclusive interview.

Kelis Pays Huge Federal Tax Debt

(AllHipHop News) R&B siren Kelis owned a heavy debt to the federal government and now she has satisfied that debt – a whopping bill over $700k.

Kelis owed the federal government $701,027.59 in back taxes, the State of New York, and State of California respectively.

TMZ reports that Nas’ ex-wife paid the balance of $400,000 this past August.

The singer still owes about $300,000 in tax liens for New York and California.

Deniro Farrar Signs To Vice Records/Warner Bros Records

(AllHipHop News) It has been a monumental year for Deniro Farrar. The buzzing North Carolina emcee dropped the well-received mixtapes The Patriarch and The Patriarch II, and he opened shows for Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar. Farrar’s 2013 just became even more memorable now that the Leader of Cult Rap has officially signed with Vice Records/Warner Bros Records.

“Signing to VICE/Warner is the greatest feeling in the world,” said Farrar. “I’ve always been a fan of their media content, and it was clear that they understood my brand. I feel special signing to them because they don’t have that many rappers on their roster. I feel like a student in a small class that will get more attention from the teacher. Plus, they’re also under Warner Bros. Records which means I get the best of both worlds.”

Farrar joins Queens rapper Action Bronson at Brooklyn-based Vice Records. The label, founded in 2002, is a division of VICE Media which also includes a magazine and the HBO series Vice. Farrar’s future projects, including his debut EP slated for 2014, will be distributed by Warner Brothers Records.

“What first impressed and attracted me to Deniro Farrar, was his brutally honest lyrics and his ability to display an unconventional amount of passion through music, both on record and live on stage,” said Eric McLellan, Director of A&R, Sire Records/Warner Bros. Records. “Deniro had what I thought were interesting songs, a unique voice and delivery, a charismatic and confident personality and major star qualities.”

Farrar recently performed at the A3C Hip Hop Festival in Atlanta, Georgia and was featured on the A3C Volume 3 album. He is about to set out on an East Coast tour running through November.

Fail of the Day: Woman Literally Gets Kicked Off Train For Trying to Hold the Doors

As a born and raised city dweller, I understand how frustrating it is to be sitting on the train trying to get to the intended destination and then someone gets on and holds the doors for a person who isn’t even close.  It’s annoying but it’s not serious enough to get violent…well, not for me. Epic Win Of The Day: Could This Knife Ping Pong Be Real?

The internet is incredible! I saw this online as a moving image at first and just thought it was some sort of special affect. But, after seeing the video, I am wondering if its real. I just can’t see the special affects in the video if its not real.

On the other side, I cannot see how some people would DARE toss knifes at each other like this without nary a drop of blood being draw! How many times would you have to do this for it to be so flawless?

That said, some people say its fake (which it has to be somehow), but I just can’t see it visually. Either way, its dope.

They are Swedish duo named Slightly Mad Max & DJ Coolman. The lady is named Miss Ping.

But is it real?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Kim Kardashian Wishes Kanye Would Let North be in the Spotlight

You know Kanye West has Kim and baby on lock when it comes to public exposure. Shortly after Kimye became a couple, Kim Kardashians started trying to convince everyone that she wasn’t going to be in the spotlight as much but Radar Online reports what we all know–Kimmy was fronting. Apparently, Kim  and Kanye have been battling about the public exposure they’re going to give their daughter but have allegedly come to a compromise.

Via Radar:

“Kanye never wants anything public to be out there about his daughter. He wants to keep her all to himself and her family, he doesn’t think anyone else deserves to see her, but things are slowly changing,” the source said.

“Kim is the one that wants to share every single thing Nori does with the whole world. She loves when people gush over her daughter and talk about how cute she is. It’s a huge sense of accomplishment for her and she doesn’t want to give that up.”

The source said the new parents have come to a compromise about handling the press around their daughter.

“Kim is ok with just sharing pictures for now, but she is really anxious for people to see her interacting with her daughter. She loves Nori and knows the whole world will too, she just has to convince Kanye that nothing bad will happen if she’s in the public eye more often.”

If Kim had her way, her Instagram would probably be flooded with nothing but glamor shots of she and her new baby. The secrecy surrounding the baby is probably short lived. It’s only a matter of time before Kris Jenner steps in and let’s the E! cameras roll on Kim interacting with Nori while Kanye is away on tour.

“Kim can be really persistent. She isn’t backing down but she’s happy to do whatever Kanye wants for now.”

(AllHipHop News) Jay Z is not one to knock the hustle of another and yesterday (October 8th) he put his money where his hustle appreciation is as he purchased 100 copies of Nipsey Hussle’s $100 mixtape Crenshaw.

Nipsey claims he has already sold the 1,000 $100 dollar copies of Crenshaw  and confirmed Jay’s purchase on his personal Twitter account:

During an interview with Power 106, Nipsey also revealed that he shipped 100 copies of his Crenshaw project to New York for Jay Z.

Jim Jones and Meek Mill. An unlikely beef, right? Well, it seems that Harlem is the domain of Jim, Cam, Juelz and other diplomats. So, when Meek has a song called “Rick Porter,” there is an issue. Why? Rich Porter is the reluctant celebrity drug dealer who was killed by Alpo Martinez, another drug dealer who eventually turned snitch. Both were from Harlem and were the subject of the movie “Paid In Full.”

Cam’ron knows about this,. Not only is he from Harlem, but he played Alpo in the movie. Here is is killing “Rich Porter” in the movie:

WTF News: Grandmother Beats Granddaughter to Death With Sledge Hammer

An Illinois grandmother has been charged with murdering her granddaughter after she allegedly hit the infant with a sledgehammer and then slit her throat.

Via Chicago CBS:

The grandmother, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, allegedly placed the baby on the floor of the suburban home and hit her repeatedly with the sledgehammer.  She then retrieved a carving knife from the kitchen and slit the baby’s throat.

Oak Lawn Police said Alfreda Giedrojc, of the 6600 block of West 91st Street, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder in the death of her 6-month-old granddaughter. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force identified the girl as Vivian Summers.

“I have never seen anything like this. It’s a tragedy,” Oak Lawn Police Chief Michael Murray said at a Monday news conference. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. This is going to be a very difficult time for everybody.”

Giedrojc was being held without bond at the Cermak Hospital in Cook County Jail, for continuing observation.

That’s the just of the story but at the moment there’s no word yet on what will happen to the murderous grandmother nor talk of what her mental state was like before this. Some people are truly evil but how much y’all wanna bet she tries to cop the “insanity” plea?

Raekwon Headling AllHipHop’s 15th Anniversary Concert For CMJ Music Festival

(AllHipHop News) For 15 years, AllHipHop has been a pioneering outlet for Hip Hop news, music and respected opinions. On October 17th, SOBs will host the concert celebration for AllHipHop’s 15th Anniversary headlined by the Wu Tang Clan legend himself, Raekwon.

The event will be a part of the 2013 CMJ Music Festival and will also include performances from Hustle Gang artist Doe B, Ken Rebel, Caleb James and Rockland County upstart Bishop Nehru and more to be announced soon.

Doors will open at 7pm with a prompt 7:30 PM showtime start.

Hip-Hop Rumors: ‘Love & Hip-Hop Miami’ Too?

We’ve been hearing quite a lot of behind the scenes buzzing about Love & Hip-Hop branching off into new cities but from what I’ve been told, you can add Miami to the list. Miami was ideally supposed to come before Atlanta but casting had a hard time getting solid names who were down. Most of the wives and babymamas who would have been key players are with or affiliated with heavy hitting executives and rappers who could easily put the kabosh on them if they get out of line and reveal too much. In other words, folks were a little shook. So, other than strippers, wanna be video girls and jump offs, casting has been hard but sources say producers are still looking.

Remember Winter Ramos from Love & Hip-Hop New York? She currently lives in Miami and would consider joining the fray if they land the right names but that still remains to be seen.
