There are few constants in Hip Hop. Eminem being successful and comical are two of those immutable truths. Today (September 9th) Eminem premiered his new video for his hit single “Berzerk”.
With cameos from Slaughterhouse, Rick Rubin, Kid Rock, Kendrick Lamar and The Alchemist, Eminem splices together images of people going berserk and gives the #3 song on Billboard an appropriate video counterpart to its raucous sound.
The Marshall Mathers LP 2 will be in stores November 5th.
“It’s a robbery, you got to have a pistol”-2 Chainz
(AllHipHop News) 2 Chainz is worth enough money to open his own fast food restaurant. However, the man born Tauheed Epps was not always swimming in money and resorted to some near-criminal activity.
At Cipha Sounds’ weekly Hip Hop improv show Take It Personal, 2 Chainz told the story of the time him and his friend stole a car and unsuccessfully attempted to rob a Wendy’s. The pair of young criminals would have got a way with it too if it was not for a paranoid Tauheed and a pesky Wendy’s employee who recognized the soon-to-be rapper’s voice.
UCB regulars Phil Jackson, Abra Tabak, Anthony Atamanuik, Lydia Hensler and Cipha Sounds transformed that story into a hilarious sketch for the crowd at the East 3rd Street UCB Theatre.
Cipha Sounds’ Take It Personal is every Friday at 9pm.
Check out the 2 Chainz’s story + the accompanying sketch below:
(AllHipHop News) Cee Lo Green, at 39 years old, is a family man, co-host of a talent show and possesses a wardrobe that would make Prince’s eyebrows raise. According to the rapper/singer’s recent memoir Everybody’s Brother, Cee Lo was not always a law-abiding citizen.
In one revelation from the book, the 20 year rap veteran explains how he almost shot the manager of Goodie Mob during their formative years in the early 90’s over allegations of the manager shortchanging the group:
To be blunt, I did have a MAC-11. I just owned it and happened to have it on me,He did make the mistake of starting an argument with a person who was carrying a weapon
Cee Lo Green, born Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, discussed his criminal youth which include robbery and assaults. Interestingly enough, the eccentric artist perceived his early attraction to crime as a consequence of him being brilliant:
People who are brilliant-minded need a creative outlet. … To feel endowed enough to take something from somebody is very empowering. If you can take it, it becomes very easy. Crime is art for lazy people.
Cee Lo Green’s memoir Everybody’s Brother will be in stores on September 10th. Goodie Mob released their reunion album, Age Against The Machine on August 27th. Cee Lo returns to NBC’s “The Voice” on September 23rd.
(AllHipHop News) “I have taken tragedy and somehow turned it into triumph,” said R&B superstar R. Kelly during a listening session for his new album Black Panties. The 20-year music veteran introduced tracks from his 12th solo LP in Atlanta on September 7th. Revolt TV was at the location and captured the event of film.
When Cha-Cha first released her debut album, Dear Diary on Epic Records in 1999, she was a young, naïve spitter poised to take over the rap game. But, despite appearances by Nas and Juvenile on her debut, underpromotion by her label tanked the project. “Back then, I always felt that there was more depth to me, but I always had those corporate-minded restraints that kept me confined from doing what I wanted to do creatively and sort of hindered me expressing it.”
Since her debut album, Cha-Cha–who is now using the name Parris Franz– stayed busy. “I was an On-Air Personality for Clear Channel and Radio One for a few years, that in turn lead to quite a bit of hosting of celebrity events and parties, specialty concerts,” Parris told us from her current home in Los Angeles, where she is working on a film. “All while still performing shows overseas with Royce Da 5’9″ a few times, on a few spot dates here and there…everywhere from the Czech of Republic to Germany and more.”
That’s right, Parris Franz is a Detroit-native, and even more, she is sister to Royce Da 5’9″, not by blood but sister nonetheless. It was on Royce’s projects, Build and Destroy, M.I.C., and Death is Certain and while touring the world with one-half of Bad Meets Evil that she continued to hone her rap chops, as well as other valuable skills. “I’m producing music. I write for others. I was recently requested to write on the new Beyonce’ album. I’ve gotten acting roles, in some film work and on Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns. I’m also working on a fashion line, Crown Jewel Collectives & Co.”
In an industry, where women are often marginalized and the category for “Best Female Rapper” has gone to one woman four years in a row. Parris Franz is poised to retake the place that was rightfully hers years ago, without missing a beat. “I feel like I’ve just evolved as a person, and as an artist. With music being at the center of my passions, it’s only right that I exude my growth in it at this point.”

(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop artist Kendrick Lamar and NBA player James Harden traveled to Alaska to speak with students at Bethel Regional High School. Bethel High was rewarded with the visit from the two stars for winning a high school graduation competition sponsored by the Get Schooled Foundation, Taco Bell, and Viacommunity. The Alaskan school beat out 324 other schools across the nation with a 100% participation rate.
K-Dot and Harden spoke with MTV’s Sway Colloway about their participation with Get Schooled.
“I seen the energy, obviously their energy gave me even more fuel to come out here and look them dead in their eyes and see how much more inspiration that I can give them rather than just seeing me on TV or onscreen somewhere,” said Kendrick.
Get Schooled is now offering more students who commit to graduating from high school the chance to win tickets to see J. Cole and Wale in concert. Students that sign up for the “Make The Promise” campaign from now through September 22nd are entered in the competition.
Get Schooled is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving high school graduation rates and empowering students to succeed in higher education. Other Get Schooled challenges include the “Grad 4 Más Attendance Challenge” and the “Get Schooled College Challenge.”

(AllHipHop News) Detroit emcee Eminem stopped in during the broadcast of the Michigan-Notre Dame football game on Saturday to give a glimpse of his new video for “Berzek.” Em also gave an interview to the program’s commentators Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit.
At the beginning of the Q&A Em looked disoriented and inattentive. When the show cut back to him after previewing clips of the video, Em shared that, “live TV freaks me out a little bit.”
Later in the interview Herbstreit turned the discussion to Em’s upcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 due out November 5th. When ask about the project Em said, “I’ll probably be most excited to just be done with it” after remarking that “nothing” about MMLP2 excites him.
“Berzerk” will be the intro song of Saturday Night Football and will also be a track on the sequel to Eminem’s Grammy winning 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP which included the classic stalker fan song “Stan.”
(AllHipHop News) DMX has been involved in a lot of erratic behavior in the past. There are the serious incidents like the numerous arrests, his issues with substance abuse, and the time he impersonated a federal agent. The “Party Up” rapper recently added another act to his list of wild moments- hotel streaking.
TMZ obtained footage of Dark Man X running nude in the hallway of a Detroit hotel. X apparently told the site he went on his naked sprint because he “felt like” doing it and added that he is “not ashamed of anything he’s got.”
Watch the footage of DMX’s birthday suit hotel run in the video below.
They have first world problems and then there is what I like to call !% Problems. Drake has the latter. Seems like Drake is so rich that he had the money to cop a brand new Bugatti Veyron. But, he also had enough money to NOT know how to use it. That’s right. Drake was out with a female the web is saying is Nicki Minaj (which I don’t think it is). So, Drizzy gets into this supremely pricy car are but cannot get it to move. Not only that, the papz were all over the place and they captured the whole ordeal on tape. I’m sure he’s learned how to do this as this happened a few weeks ago, from what I heard.

(AllHipHop News) Two fallen Hip Hop legends were resurrected this weekend at the Rock The Bells Festival in San Bernardino, California. A reunited Bone Thugs-N-Harmony performed with a hologram of their late mentor Eazy-E on Saturday (9/7). The former N.W.A. rapper joined Bone to perform “Straight Outta Compton,” “Boyz-N-The-Hood,” and “Foe Tha Love of $.”
Last night (9/8) Wu-Tang Clan brought out a hologram of Old Dirty Bastard during their set. ODB hit the stage to run through the songs “Shame On A N*gga” and “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.”
AllHipHop.com talked to the man responsible for bringing fans their heroes back, despite being dead for years.
Chris “Broadway” Romero said he focused on the family of the Hip-Hop legends and the rest came together.
“It was amazing. The best moment of my career thus far. To create an emotional reaction with the family was my goal; the crowd going crazy and singing along was the icing on the cake,” Broadway told AHH. “I saw this moment a decade ago and there were moments yesterday where I couldn’t believe what was happening around me.”
This ain’t no rumor. This is factual as it gets. I missed this rumor, myself, and then the news section picked it up. BUT, there is a new development and that is there is video! DAYUM!
Messy Marv is a legend but this is not the way most legends are treated. Apparently, those that purport to be Bloods in Reno, NV didn’t care either way. They beat the crap out of Messy Marv, video taped it, instagrammed it and tweeted it too. The video just leaked out and it ain’t pretty.

If you thought it was over for the Diamond Princes and Mr. Ain’t Worried Bout Nothing…think again. The two recently showed up at the Vegas Palms Pool, but they did something only the highest profile celebs do. “What is that?” you might ask. Well, they didn’t take any pictures together. You that’s worth a fortune in the Star. But, sources say they are actually very cool and doing good in real life.
Here are some pictures.

YIKES!I know people don’t like me talking about Kat Stacks, but I gotta do it. It looks like Kat (known as Admire Andrea) may not be down with the site that helped make her, Worldstar! She sent everybody a cryptic message saying, “New Bookings email Bo************@***il.com , also searching for new management.” But, she also said more that suggested that she was no longer with Q, the head of the site. Before I continue, lets put this in context.
– She has Q tattooed on her back in a huge memorial.
– She has “Worldstar Queen” tatted in the middle of her chest.
– Worldstar apparently helped stopped her from being deported.
-They also gave her a platform to…basically menace these rapper like Soulja Boy.
So, just last month, they were cool enough for him to buy her a new booty to which she recently said, “Thanks for the new a**.” And you know who this was directed too! I can honestly say I don’t see how this affects anything. Now, they were supposed to drop a book in her life, but we don’t know if that’s still happening. Hell, we don’t know if this “rift” is even real. We know they have a penchant for pulling strings.
Happy Sunday!

(AllHipHop News) Philly rapper Meek Mill appeared in court last week, where his etiquette instructor gave him a positive review in front of a judge,’during a probation hearing.
Meek, who is on probation for gun and drug convictions, was ordered into etiquette classes by Judge Genece Brinkley, after several disastrous appearances in court, that made the Judge question his appearance, as well as his demeanor on social networks.
Meek Mill’s instructor Gail Madison told Judge Brinkley the rapper was a good student who was willing to learn proper etiquette.
“I felt very certain at the end of the four hours that he had a firm grasp of the information,” Madison told Judge Brinkley, reports The Philadelphia Daily News.
Meek Mill’s progress was so impressive that the rapper no longer has to call to check in with his probation officer when he travels to different states.
While Meek is free to travel, the judge shutdown the rap star’s request to relocate from his hometown of Philadelphia to Miami, Florida.
What the hell is going on down there in Atlanta – more specifically on twitter. They just keep beefing back and forth like that’s what’s up. I much prefer the lyrical stuff that Papoose, Kendrick, Cassidy, Meek and those dudes are doing. Anyway, I was looking at the IC and these guys are on stuff I’m not. So, it seems like “Stringer Bell” of the IC found this was going on. All out Twitter beef with Gucci, Waka, OJ da Juice Man, Frenchie and more.
Now, there seems to be a couple key things going on.
– Frenchie accused Gucci of stealing from his artists.
– Frenchie also said that Gucci was paying the lawyer fees of the killer of Slim Dunkin, Young Vito.
– Then somebody said that Deb Antney (Waka’s mom) was stealing from OJ Da Juiceman
– Then Gucci claims he was offered $250k to buy Waka out of his deal and Gucci says he laughed at that foolishness. He apparently wants like $1 million for his prized possession.
-Gucci seemed to suggest that French Montana was sleeping wit Deb. I’m not sure about that though.

I think its maybe time to start shooting MFers!!!! A 46-year-old man shot an 8-year-old boy. Nobody knowns why Brian Cloninger shot young Donald Maisen Jr. while he played in a parking lot. But, he did. What reason could there possibly be? When it happened around 7 pm, young “DJ” managed to get home to his mother, where he reportedly asked for water. His mother immediately flipped out at the sight of her bleeding son. They say his jaw was hanging. Fortunately, Donald survived his injures but remains in critical condition. He is expected to make a full recovery.
“He hit the ground when the guy shot him,” said grandmother Sharon Locklin. “Then, he got up and ran to the house and asked his mom for water, and his mom saw all the blood coming out.”
That’s a strong lil boy!
His mother told CBS Dallas: “His mouth was just hanging off and it was just a big hole,” she said. “ I just threw him on the couch and laid him in my arms and put pressure on his mouth with the towel.”
His grandmother Sharon Locklin, “He hit the ground when the guy shot him. Then, he got up and ran to the house and asked his mom for water, and his mom saw all the blood coming out.”
Brian Cloninger is presently charged with injury to a child, and sits behind bars with a $2.2 million bond. Uh…attempted murder?
(AllHipHop News) The Interscope machine is revving up for its fourth quarter takeover with Eminem previewing the music video for his latest single, Brezerk on ESPN.
During a peculiar interview with at Michigan and Notre Dame college football game, Eminem premiered a short preview of the video. His Interscope labelmate and consensus “next in line” Kendrick Lamar makes an appearance along with a barefoot (as usual) Rick Rubin.
The full video will be released this Monday (September 9th) at 9 pm. The Marshall Mathers LP 2 hits stores November 5th.
You know, there is something to be said about the infiltration of Hip-Hop and those we deem to be CULTURE VULTURES! Oh, the evil! Well, this time, there is some chick, who I think is very popular. I don’t know her like that. Anyway, she was blessed with the opportunity to interview K-Dot AGAIN and what does she do? Muck it up! Check out how she ruins a perfectly mediocre interview by not knowing a very simple fact we all should know.
YA BISH!
