In the midst of what could be the most detrimental Hip-Hop beef in his career Jay-Z makes another powerhouse move.
The native New Yorker releases Empire State of Mind, a hit record that features Alicia Keys.
The song is set in the consummate metropolitan city and the video is artfully produced in black and white.
Meanwhile, the lush video is in stark contrast to the recent war of words that has been sparked by former comrade and Roc-a-fella capo Beanie Sigel. Sigel has gone on record with his issues with Jay-Z, which are far more personal than many of the other recent rap beefs.
Well, for now, there is a lull in the action. Enjoy this inspirational video.
