(AllHipHop News) Legendary Miami rapper and community activist Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell will be featured on HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel.”
The season premiere of the award-winning series examines how Uncle Luke has used his notoriety as a member of the rap group 2 Live Crew to better his community of Liberty City through youth football programs.
After a highly publicized battle with the Supreme Court over what was perceived by much of the 1990′s media as raunchy or obscene music, Uncle Luke and 2 Live Crew won their case, which thrust them into mainstream stardom and popularity.
“Don’t miss this tale of an outrageous rapper turned role model,” the narrative says.
HBO will air the season premiere episode January 22, 2013 @ 10PM ET/PT.
