Chris Brown: Jay Z Stabbed Somebody, Sold Drugs And Gets A Pass

(AllHipHop News) Either Chris Brown has been listening to Jay Z’s “Guilty Until Proven Innocent” or he still harbors resentment, because the troubled R&B singer spoke extremely candid with JET Magazine.

In excerpts from the upcoming Jet Magazine interview, Brown speaks on the hypocrisy over the media attention given his assault on Rihanna in comparison to that of Jay Z’s 1999 stabbing of Lance “Un” Rivera:

No disrespect, because I’m a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that [Jay Z] stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass.

I identify with Trayvon 100 percent as far as living in 2013 and still dealing with blatant racism. This generation is so used to racism that it’s normal; we don’t care. We aren’t on drugs or catching AIDS, but they still look at us as ni**as.

  • Antoine Hart

kinda agree with chris brown.. Charlie Sheen beat his wife and was sky high on drugs…everybody loves him…Jason Kidd use to beat his wife..everyone loves him…Chris Brown does it and everybody hates chris

    • junj03

      “everybody hates chris” Good show….

      • scullyson

        LOL

    • Brooklyn Stoop

if i saw this i wouldnt even have responded
but Charlie Sheen should be the example he use instead of Jay since Charlie and Chris both are dealing with domestic ish. but its funny that charlie have countless cases of beating up women (joe budden too) and its never brought up but chris have ONE INCIDENT and he is the poster boy for domestic violence

      • Mustafaah Ali

lets not forget about Robert Iron Man Downey, Jr. Hella get out of jail free passes.

      • Truth Powell

It’s the media. It can be a dangerous thing. Anyone of us can be tagged as something on a whim and that characterization is going to follow us for life.

    • Chris

      Let’s not forget about Biggie…

      • Chris

Or Big Pun for that matter

      • huh

Pun? Really? Pun was already dead when everybody saw that footage. There’s nothing you can do when the person is dead. People are still gonna listen to the music cus the music is enjoyable, doesnt mean people respect the action. Same with R. Kelly. I loved his music but when that tape came out i couldnt listen to him for more than 5 years. But honestly, it was hard. He got good music that i enjoy. Does not mean i respect that or forget about it. When youre dead though theres nothing you can do. The person is already gone. Up to his/her faith.

  • digitallife

Jay isn’t the only one who gets a pass on bullshhh. Kanye shuts down an award show gets a pass, is right back on it two years later. Diddy is blatantly robbing his artists gets a pass, Diddy punches man outside of hotel gets a pass. I think the fact Chris Brown keeps feeding into the hate for him is why its still hampering him. Shut up about it,act like it doesn’t matter to you and you’ll get a pass too.

    • BulldogCG

I agree, you have to stop speaking on it yourself if you want it to die, of course the media is looking for a story. To kill it you keep progressing and being the best at your profession i.e Kobe Bryant. So put out hits and shut up about it and it will go waway. If not he using it himself to stay relevant and needs to quit whining.

    • Guest

      Didn’t Jay-Z slap a fan too?

  • Brooklyn Stoop

jay dont get no pass he had to deal with his past all the time
the BETTER example he SHOULD have used was why do Charlie Sheen get a pass for the countless women he assualted

  • 2012Industry1

Those cats get passes because they move on from those points and don’t act like complete dicks afterwards. You can’t make people get over things, you gotta keep succeeding and coming with great music. Not being a classic asshole, rapping like you hard, becoming a blood and having something to say to everybody that tweets something. Be a damn man and come with that real ill music. R. Kelly dropped Chocolate Factory, Jay dropped Blueprint, Ye dropped Beautiful Dark….and they let the music talk for them. You keep lashing out and making people hate you.

    • firehawk17

CB music is dope period… best young R&b guy out sing, dance, write, directs…etc.. you haven’t been under the microscope like he has.. he makes the news when he gets pulled over.. Have u made the news for being pulled over? stupid shit like that.. the media cast him in certain light and you people latch onto it like leeches.. they don’t say none of the good he does for people cause it makes them money to cast him as the bad guy… Remember we dont know 99% of these celebrities.. we know what the media wants us to know about them.. unless they have the power and resources to show the world who they are without bias..

      • Guest

I don’t deny his talent or music, it just overshadows his antics. Yes, he gets pulledo over , it makes the news, but at the same time if you know that Microscope is on you….ACT RIGHT! I’m not a celebrity, but I am Black While Driving, Black While Shopping, just plain Black In America, so I know when I do things I have to be careful and abide by certain rules. Him being a celebrity, it’s the same thing times 10! Even without the Rihanna thing, he would still be scrutinized, but with it, his reactions lead to more negative press and reactions. We live in a internet Twitter/Facebook world, so that 99% your talking is way too high when the guy tweets, shows video and have photos shown of what and how he is and reacts too. i agree he’s human and makes mistakes, but you can’t throw rocks, hide your hands then get mad when the hurt or witnesses point the finger at you. Stop making excuses for this manchild!

  • Golgo 13

jay z probably gets a pass because 1 we don’t hear anything about him beating up women and 2 u never read things about jay z always getting into trouble and could face jail time that’s why i think he gets a pass. not unlike Chris brown who beats women argues with comedians on twitter gets into fights at clubs takes girls phones etc

    • firehawk17

your a staunch fag boy….CB only mistake was the rihanna situation… period.. anything after that has been so minor but people like you and the media love to rain hate down on another person… CB didnt just beat on her cause he was having a bad day.. He was provoked.. Does that make it right no, but sure can be understood why it happened.. and why isn’t she catching flak for provocation? just saying be fair..

      • CB is constantly making minor mistakes compared to Jay, who is only in the press for #WINNING.

      • johnblacksad

are we really comparing both situation??!! I can’t believe this… n!gga sold a few dope bags to survive/live it up however you wanna put it and stabbed a motherfcuker stealing from him… Chris was on some bitch tantrum sh!t and beat the sh!t out of a frail girl… wtf?!

      • firehawk17

You have described both situations wrong.. jay z wasn’t selling dope to survive. He was way past the survival point.. he was moving weight so that survival dynamic goes out the window…furthermore having a tantrum would imply CB hit her unprovoked but we know that’s not true cause out of her(rihanna) own mouth she stated she started it..with that said does it excuse his actions? No..but sure can understand why it took place. ..so when u comment be sure to put things in its proper context..

      • johnblacksad

that’s why i said survive/live it up… and I even added ‘however you wanna put it’

      • johnblacksad

and you’re teling me there’s a valid reason to put paws on a girls who’s running her mouth? Re-compose your pimpin or walk away… it’s that simple

  • SBRon

Lil kid shit!! Grow up!!! Speakin’ of Kobe, this is the same punk move…Kobe told them cops in Colorado after he sodomized pink toes, “Shaq cheats on his wife all the time!” etc, etc…

  • disqus_wP9qaQP4Hv

Jay also never get caught though…… He said he did my dude… Don’t you understand whoever gets caught commits the crime, shit Bill Clinton smoked weed but he doesn’t have a weed record nor Obama 🙂 Shit i won’t hit a girl but shake the sht outta 🙂 also going back to mess with Rihana was a no! no!! as it erupts shit etc

  • 1hiphophiphop

Ummmmm……..didn’t Chris Brown get a pass too? He even recorded music with the chick he beat up and it was accepted! That’s the ultimate pass! He need to stfu

    • Guest

That’s a pass from Rihanna, not from the media and the general public dumbass!!

      • 1hiphophiphop

Ike Turner didn’t get a pass…..Chris Brown did.

  • BillyBobJohn

BUT SEAN NEVER REALLY DID NONE OF THAT you beat up a worldwide superstar that has millions of fans

    • Sean Lee Walthour

How is calling Jay a career length liar, defending him???
I wonder what he’d say about claims HE NEVER DID ANYTHING HE said he did. I guess YOU know him better than he knows himself

  • MrNoName2K

some niggas really be believing these rapper alter ego metaphors …smh

    • Nah, Jay stabbed Un & sold a few dimes.

      • Sean Lee Walthour

Thanx for callin Jay a LIAR LOL

how many eigths makes one or two kilos? you’re the stupid one for believing he meant hundreds and hundreds of kilos…

  • $28825362

What Chris needs to understand is that Jay Z has donated money to certain causes without tipping the press off about it, but the “powers that be” know about, therefore the “powers that be” that control the media gives him a pass. Also Jay has team up with the UN to give water to Africa which demonstrates maturity and growth as a Black man so he gets a pass. What Chris needs to do is donate his time at a women’s shelter and not make it a PR stunt, just show up and ask. “how can I help”? Go to low income neighborhoods and help in a food drive for the needy and homeless. Hold a 10 city Hip Hop dance contest were 100% of money gained from ticket sells goes to a charity for abused women. Team up with UPS and make a “what can Brown do for you” scholarship for young woman so they can go to college. Then move on and make music and movies. Never bring it up again. Stop being a kid, stop talking like a kid, stop dressing like a kid, and become a man… that’s how you get a pass from pass actions.

    • Stop telling & start selling!

Pricele$$ advice for CB that would pay 100X more dividends than this Kobe Bryant snitching on Shaq interview.

      Side Note:

The PTB control the press “&” Jay Z.

      • Sean Lee Walthour

Umm, how is he SNITCHIN if what he said about HOV was ALREADY PUBLICLY KNOWN.? i dont think we knew about Shaq til Kobe aired it… #LearnTheDifference

      • Not known by all?

Snitching = The act of telling on another in exchange for expected leniency.

Sounds like it fits the definition on some ‘ole “But why isn’t he in trouble for doing …..” type ‘chet!

Not a good look for CB.

      • johnblacksad

You are a bitch if you don’t see the bitch move in this… straight up… and you know it too!

    • huh

How ironic. You tell him to not make it a PR stunt but then mention all things Jay-Z did for or including the biggest PR stunts ever? Funny style cats i tell ya. Pick & choose shit. Im no teenage girl fan of his, im even a Jay-Z fan, but lets be real here..

      • $28825362

It’s not ironic you have to understand what to call your PR firm about and what not to. If I was advising Chris Brown I would tell him when we do the UPS scholarship and the 10 city Hip hop dance contest we are going to publicize that part of our image make over and use our PR firm to advertise it. But as far as helping the homeless, volunteering at women’s shelters and other things we will NOT publicize it or use a PR firm because it will come off as not being genuine or sincere.
Step your game up dude. Believe me I know what I’m talking about. LOL. You have to know what to do and when to do it. What to publicize and what not to publicize. Jay Z has mastered this. Working with the UN, yes you want to use a PR firm in doing this AND make a film about it. Donating $100,000 worth of books and computers to a Brooklyn school distinct you do not publicize that. You allow others (the powers that be) to talk about it over dinner parties and with in their inner circles. This will help you in the long run.

    • scullyson

D%$# good advice……He cant see the forest for the tree’s tho…smh

    • jubileeshine

he said what brown can do for you lolol

    • Sean Lee Walthour

Oh cuz he gave bread to columbine its ok lol… #YouPeople #DoubleStandard

  • Sicko

BITCH MOVE CHRIS! Kobe Bryant Telling On Shaq Ass Nigga!

    • THIS ^^^

    • Sean Lee Walthour

Although TRUE, u cant tell on an INNOCENT person

      • johnblacksad

        ^^^^
Said like a real b!tch!!! You sir, are incredible with it… F.O.H.W.T.B.S.

  • This is what happens when men grow up without even getting there asses beat. Chris has no humility he acts like a child therefore he gets no respect from grown folks. We all make mistakes but you have to show growth and maturity. He needs to take some ques from Mike Vick.

    • Caliwaver

Could not have sed it any better.

    • Sean Lee Walthour

Funny thing u mention Vick, tho he dont act like CB, he still treated like him by the media…

  • pauleyPee

On the one hand, I feel what Chris Brown is saying…….. But!………. On the other hand, we’re talking about the stabbing of a grown-ass man over said victim doing some shady shi* vs. A young man going “Golovkin” on a young woman for whatever reason. Brotha, it just doesn’t look the same. The drugs? I get it, but Jay-Z was a millionaire with charities before the mainstream really began paying attention to the fact that he was involved in drug sales at a time… In other words, he was reformed before anybody learned of the shi* really. And might I mention, many people in the media do a little coke here and there, but don’t however (for the most part), beat on women. So, for me, it’s pretty clear what the issue is. That this kid can’t see it? Beyond me. Nigga, atleast you can get some money still. Paula Dean can’t get no money anymore. Sit down and quit agitating niggas.

    • pauleyPee

So far, you’ve made enemies out of YMCMB and Roc-Nation……… Might as well assume Maybach music ain’t fuckin’ witchu either. Kind of hurtin’ your future talkin’ too much CB. We all know that ladies be provoking all sorts of shi* sometimes. But as a man? You can’t bite. Duck duck goose, nigga…. You’re it. Sit down.

    • Guest

      Didn’t Jay-Z Slap a female???

      • pauleyPee

………. I think he did. But it never hit the front page, never went to court, no bloody pictures were ever released, and most importantly, the girl he allegedly slapped wasn’t arguably the biggest pop-star in the world at the time. So, I don’t know why this is becoming a conversation about niggas’ skeletons… This is about why the shit hit the fan for Chris Brown and didn’t for the people/person Chris Brown named.

      • Sean Lee Walthour

So the SAME crime is DIFFERENT according to the attention it gets? Ur a genius

      • pauleyPee

I’m a genius or you can’t read. Look, I’m not talking about anything being different besides how people perceive certain situations different than other similar situations… Chris Brown is complaining about the perception of himself in the public eye. And like many other people have said on this post, people perceive him that way because of his own actions. On the other hand, while Jay-Z isn’t near perfect, he’s productive and not out there adding fuel to the fire. But see, I think you understand that. You’re just going to keep trying to misconstrue my statements for the sake of argument. That’s alright. Go right on ahead.

      • Sean Lee Walthour

Do u understand the implication of sayin “person B did what person A did , BUT…….. ” dont backpeddal now lol. I already made it CLEAR i feel they BOTH fucked up, i simply say Jay’s is overlooked for biased reasons. Stop CHANGING ur argument. Pick a stance n stay wit it. Ur contradictory statements are here for ALL OF US TO SEE. ctfuuuuuu

      • pauleyPee

Nothing I said is contradictory. And look, if you’re going to say I made a contradictory statement or that I’m backpedaling, point out exactly where you think I’m backpedaling or contradicting myself, and relay your argument in a thorough and eloquent way. So far, you’re just throwing a bunch of wild accusations out there as if making a claim alone proves a point. Chris Brown’s plight is about circumstances not preferential treatment. Double standards apply to perceived preferential treatment to one party over another, even given identical instances of trangressions. Jay-Z wasn’t arrested and convicted of felony domestic violence. So by definition, there can’t be a double standard, if you’re talking about legally. If you’re talking about opinion wise? My opinion is that one guy is handling his business classily, the other is handling his business somewhat but constantly making stupid mistakes. I’m being subjective for observing that? Come on, guy. Give me a break. FOH.

      • Sean Lee Walthour

No problem, imma finish u off then go to sleep.
U claimed PEOPLE didnt notices blah blah, im a PERSON that DID notice. It only takes ONE case to disprove a theory. I did that, then u switched gears. U ALSO admitted hov hit a woman, u just immediately downplayed it cuz no media coverage, etc. Te me, if im arrested for selling a pound of weed and my neighbor did the same but wasnt caught, HE isnt guilty?
Thats UR reasoning, okay okay, jay did it too, but he keepin it on the low… and btw, a double standard can be simple as criticizing one rapper while biggin up another for saying the same thing. Which is what ur argument boils down to. I give two rusty shits how Chris feelz, he gotta eat that for what he did.
        @

      • pauleyPee

LoL. Sean………… Go to sleep. 1) This isn’t a theory. It’s conjecture. Obviously in context, I’m talking about “on average” when I say “people weren’t paying attention”. The mainstream is way bigger than the hip-hop world, or atleast, was back then. How can I admit that Jay-Z hit a woman? As if I’m guilty because that nigga went upside a broads head. Look, I was pointing out why it didn’t blow up in his face, not why he was more right or more wrong for doing it.

      • Sean Lee Walthour

Thanx for (1) proving u have a comprehension problem (2)u are a liar (u think he did slap the women isnt an admission?) (3) u have no defense of ur contradkctions or u wouldve presented the. And (4) simply put, ur an idiot. Goodnight.

      • pauleyPee

Ad Homs are logical fallacy. You can do better.

      • Sean Lee Walthour

Yes, but jay Stans will claim its DIFFERENT cuz of WHO the woman was lol

      • johnblacksad

Ok… now I know you’re just hatin azz lyin azz b!tch… I can’t count how many times it’s been documented he didn’t slap her… but have at it… fake n!ggaz i swear

    • Sean Lee Walthour

Nigga u trippin, anybody who didnt notice Jay drug history, is ignoring the lyrics, yall got mad excuses when it come to that dude. He steal other niggas rhymes/etc. Yall overlook that too.. the nigga SOLD CRACK TO HIS OWN MOTHER… #FOH. (Thats on his earliest music btw)
CHRIS IF FUCKED UP no question about it, point is, SO IS HOV

      • Guest

He sold to his own mother???

      • Sean Lee Walthour

“All u did was motivate me, said dont let em hold u back, what did i do? Turned around n sold u crack. ” -You must love me

If he didnt, he lied on himself, guess he didnt really shoot his brother neeva 😉

      • pauleyPee

While rap fans have always scrutinized lyrics, mainstream America circa ’96 certainly did not. Jay-Z didn’t become a crossover success until Vol. 2. So if you calculate that people weren’t even beginning to pay attention to him until after that point, you’ll pretty much arrive at the answer that I did. Further, it really wasn’t until “Big Pimpin” (April 2000) & “I Just Wanna Love You” (October 2000) that passive rap fans began to really know who he was……… Lastly, I’m not defending anything about Jay-Z. I don’t care what your opinion is about him. I like him and that’s as far as anything like that goes. You don’t like him? So what. I didn’t ask. But back to the main point: I know my analysis was/is solid and it doesn’t matter what Jay-Z did… Because people don’t have a hard on for him – they have one for Chris Brown. Pointing fingers ain’t going to solve anything for him.

      • Sean Lee Walthour

        (1) you dont speak for ME, i was PAYING ATTENTION since 91 when he debuted on Big L album. U cannot claim nobody was aware of something simply because YOU wasnt. U aint talkin to people u talkin to ME.
        (2) i NEVER said, claimed or implied i DONT LIKE him..
What i dont like is double standards and
        (3) your analysis is subjective rather than objective. Learn the difference.

      • pauleyPee

Tell us how you really feel.

      • pauleyPee

So what you were paying attention? The point is that the mainstream wasn’t paying attention dude. And there isn’t a double standard… I like Chris Brown, but every other month, the nigga off in some shit. That’s the whole ball of wax. And my analysis was totally objective. All I talked about was when Jay-Z’s popularity developed and the different circumstances between the two men’s public personas… Shit, all of that is a matter of record. Bruh, just kick rocks already.

  • Ok, that comparison is incomparable. JayZ stabbed a grown man, used to sell drugs. Lil ni66a Chris beat the sh!t out of his girl…….why even try to throw Jay under the bus with random old ass accusations.

    • Sean Lee Walthour

both Incidents are in the past, why is JAY shit forgotten, the nigga rap as if he still touches that work. U cant play that way fam, if a man keeps braggin on his past, who has the right to say it cant be criticizd?

      • johnblacksad

        meh..

  • scullyson

Chris man stop dogg…….Sh&^% is transparent….Just do what the court ordered you to do and stay out of trouble…simple as that

  • whoa

There are double standards and he WAS being somewhat persecuted in media, BUT this man is his OWN worst enemy.

    • Sean Lee Walthour

I agree 1000% . BOTH artists did foul shit, only one gets blackballed.. im not even gonna mention WHY al green had grits thrown in his face. Shit is like Mike Vick, DOGfighting warrants Jailtime, killin a HUMAN for wearin a hoodie n carryin skittles get an aquittal…. (doesnt mean shouldnt have been prosecuted)

  • whoa

“This goes out to everyone everywhere…. LEAVE DEM DRUGS ALONE!” -MC Lyte “Cappucino”

  • Heart of a Slave, Blood of a k

He made that comment without doing serious self analysis and asking himself why Jay z has the reputation he has while he has a reputation. Many have said it, he needs to be real with himself. Plus, it was weak as hell to bring another man and their transgressions into his own mess. Take your situation standing tall, don’t start dropping names because there are many clean names in the business.

Damn CB…did you really have to name drop Jay? CB kinda bitter…but I think any man would be if a dude blackballed them. He basically took a lil change outta CB pocket&…CB never forgave him for that…His presentation was sloppy, tho. If you got a problem with Jay…just say it…instead of…doin’ some less then honorable shit like compare his situation to yours. Stand on your own two homie…but I guess Jay fucked up your bread…so fuck’em…get it how you live. Just be prepared for the media to have a field day with this shit.

    • johnblacksad

Exactly… be a man… come flat out and expose Jay for stopping your bread… not that sideways slick sh!t… he might get some sympathy, no one likes it when a brotha is stopping anotha brotha from getting cheese

  • seriously?

wow he is seriously ignorant…..or catching aids? wtf Not to mention he beat the shit out of a woman, has had plenty of crazy interviews, and wonders why he has a bad rap?

  • cdj313

Chris beat americas sweetheart, That’s what he fails to realize nobody told him that yet. Jayz victims are nameless in the fact that white america doesn’t care if you stab a brother or sell dope on your corner just don’t bring it to there front porch. Also jayz lost a lot from that incident too but still stood like a man an came back more hungry. Shame nobody told chris to stfu an just make good music. .

    • johnblacksad

Thanks! I’m convinced his not that dumb he fails to realize it… he know better than that… He knows he’s out of touch so he might as well send shots a Jay… that’s that nothing to lose anymore sh!t…

  • OSBKE3000

all things considered … CB just pulled a straight b!tch move … no matter what way you twist it CB can’t claim nothin street, nothin hood cuz what he did right there is what snitches and b!tches do … which is cry about your problems by puttin someone else name on blast … nobody has respect for that sh!t

    • johnblacksad

      straight up bitch!

(and trust me, I’ve been easy on Breezy no homo since that Protect your neck stint)

  • <>>

I think the comparison is quite valid.
Jay claims to have sold drugz on every album.
He claims to already have made millions before
his rap career. We don’t know if this is the truth
or is he Rick Rossing us?
If so the damage he did to the black community
would be far worse and he is of course a bad
role model, because he makes it look as if he
needed that to earn his respect.

CB also did fvck up. But as long as he never
beats a woman anymore we should forgive him.

Chris hurt 1 person by using violence.
Jay probably destroyed families and probably
    lead consumers towards killing themselves.

    <>

    • johnblacksad

Hey, you def. right on the logic tip…

Might not be ‘normal’ but it is what is… Chris didn’t just beat a random average unknown mofo… he beat the sh!t out of Rihanna… a way bigger star than him who already is a huge star himself…

Chris is out of touch even comparing both situations… it’s just some bitter mouth sh!t… he knows well both situations have nothing in common…

That’s that smelling the near-end sh!t… just fadin out bitter…

Hey Chris, don’t start none, won’t be none…
      Can’t cry over spoiled milk…

I don’t think Jay is Rick Rossing us. But I think he’s saying that he was a bad man and made mistakes…and he’s telling the youngins that you don’t have to go down that path.

As far as Brown, yes he made a big mistake too. Something set him off and he repeated what his father did to his mother to his current girlfriend. It took about a year or 2 for me to forgive him, but I did. I know he won’t make that mistake again and he learned his lesson. And he’s a nice guy too. Was real cool when I met him a couple of years ago. But I like him, he’s cool.

  • Dan_Tebasco

When is Chris Brown gonna stop playing the victim role?

Oh yeah when hell freezes over…

Also stabbing a male although not good either is less bad than beating your girlfriend to a pulp…

    • johnblacksad

stab a n!gga ‘stealing’ from you vs. beating your girlfriend who happens to be America’s sweetheart…

      no event here…

    • firehawk17

I can’t believe people are justifying the stabbing over CB hitting rihanna…a sharp metal blade that is weapon and can kill is ok to use….right? But a provoked kid (he was only 19) doesn’t get a pass to move on….was he wrong?yes …..he was also provoked and we have his age to consider because that plays a role on how he reacted and handled the situation. .Damn the man hasn’t done it again.. mel gibson who is a repeat offender..Charlie sheen…tommy lee these good ol white men got to go about their careers like they don’t beat bitches..CB was at least a kid at the time and has not repeated. .very hypocritical people

      • johnblacksad

it’s none of that… of course nobody condones stabbing… IT’S THE BITCH MOVE BY BROWN… throwing another man’s name to try to… aaargh fcuk it… if you don’t get it, you won’t get it…

        I know you’re a fan but damn…

      • firehawk17

Has nothing to do with being a fan…I’m a fan of jay z as well but wrong is wrong period regardless of its justification. .if a person kills for thrill or self defense they still killed period..CB and rihanna was wrong and jay z was wrong on a bunch of levels but was lucky and smart to skate without being caught

      • mad or naa

I this is years old but do you still feel same way

      • johnblacksad

Life doesn’t work this way… fcuk Charlie Sheen, fcuk Tommy Lee, fcuk Mel Gibson… this is about Chris Brown… DON’T FCUKING START NONE WON’T FCUKING BE NONE… that’s how simple life is sometimes… open Pandora’s box and I can’t call it… anything might go down!

      • TheBigKing1

I know. I don’t get it too. And don’t forget that that was what he was used to as a kid and he saw happen. Statistics show that people like him that see their father parent doing bad things when the kids are young, chances are it might be repeated in the future by that kid when he’s older. But I’m glad he learned his lesson. But stabbing someone is worst in my eyes. But they are both bad.

      • Dan_Tebasco

When you beat your girlfriend you don’t just physically beat her, you abuse her mentally and potentially scar her for life, cause you were the one she trust to be there for her and if push comes to shove fight FOR her not with her… And you’re supposed to love her… So that’s NEVER acceptable…

Knifing a dude is not acceptable ever but it’s more understandable that stuff like that can happen in a bad situation, I don’t remember the details on how or why it all went down but if a guy pushes you enough as a man you just can’t accept that and it’s gonna be some sh-t…

      • firehawk17

Well I’m glad u made that last statement. ..if u push a man far enough. .well damn Chris Brown was obviously pushed far enough to react how he did…the emotional scarring and physical scars are shared by both parties..furthermore he was subjected to that as a child watching his mom being beat..again it does not excuse his act but seeing that and still being a kid himself and being pushed to react sounds like a perfect storm. .he has been remorseful to rihanna to his fans..paid his dues made some great music etc..why not let the man live…if I were CB as soon I was aked those questions I would say lets talk about charlie sheen..mel gibson…I mean its time to move on

    • Keith N.

Stabbing a man is less bad than beating your girlfriend? You dont get attempted murder charge for beating your girlfriend.

      • keepitthoro

not saying i disagree with you but, you can’t always use laws to gauge the degree or severity of one’s action..they too are corrupt…take for instance crack vs cocaine possession laws..same ish different sentences

      • johnblacksad

        >>>> see the Mike Vick/G.Zimmerman cases… prison for dogs and acquittal for kid murder

      • mad or naa

I know this is old but good point. How do does that fight and live give someone a higher penalty then a murder of a teen

    • TheBigKing1

They both are bad…and he didn’t beat her to a pulp. All we know is that he put his hands on her. To the extent, we don’t know…just speculation. Didn’t Rihanna admit to oprah or somebody that after the fight she fell and hit her head on the car or something? idk.

  • Super-Khalifah

I thought that Jay wasn’t the person who actually did the stabbing???
In any case, I don’t know if I would use someone else “getting a pass” for stabbing someone should mean no one should remember the fact that I assaulted my ex girl. I think the fact that the pictures were plastered all over the internet and media has something to do with the people not letting go. Also, Chris keeps getting involved with other BS that makes him look negative.
I do believe there is hypocrisy in how people are viewed in the media though. Still and all, Chris should just be quiet about it, stay out of trouble and live his life. He sometimes brings the negative attention on himself.

    • TheBigKing1

I agree….but I know the media always tries to make him look bad….especially idiots like TMZ. But Harvey and the rest of them already admitted that they don’t like him, so whatever.

  • B.G

this kid is stupid as f’ck, u cant compare beating a woman to stabbing another man. besides, he already got a pass, all he had to do was a few hours of community service, when what he really deserved was some time behind bars being treated the same way he treated her! jay just did what he had to do working the streets.

    • TheBigKing1

He learned his lesson already. Jail is only necessary for some people to learn their lesson, because they wouldn’t learn it unless they are doing hard time. We all know he won’t make that mistake again.

  • cashin out keisha

    Stop hating on jay z

  • HUSTLExXxMAN

come on Chris we all know Jay ain’t stabbed anyone and wouldn’t bust a grape so stop that, also i’ll be more inclined to believe Dame is more violent then Jay lol

    • golder1

And you would be wrong. Its a given that Jay is not the same guy he was in his 20 but he did have a side that is document by those who really knew that he didnt take disrespect from anyone. Dame was a mouth piece and nothing more

    • TheBigKing1

Lol. Nas said to Jay “your man stabbed Un and made you take the blame…”. So I guess that explains it.

  • HUSTLExXxMAN

also we know Jay may have been in the game back in the day, but was nomore then a nickel and dime guy, its not like he was actually a Cocain Cowboy like that brotha from Oakland CA and moving plenty weight

CB needs to man up to his own sh– instead of trying to deflect by ‘comparing notes.’ What someone else did and how it was dealt with has nothing to do with his own issues, in this matter. Being happy that somebody is buying your ‘music’ and chill da —- out.

    • firehawk17

You are delusional. ..not only has CB owned up to it he has paid his dues and moved on. Yet people still keep the issue new and fresh. That happened 5yrs ago I mean damn let the man live…do u clown charlie sheen? Mel gibson? Tommy lee? That’s to just name a few known white male celebrities who have REPEATEDLY beat women yet they get a pass..get to work without issue..u people wanna bash CB..smh should be ashamed of yourselves
