Craig G. Talks Juice Crew Reunion At A3C Fest

Hip-Hop fans in the Atlanta area have reason to rejoice next week, as the annual A3C Hip-Hop festival launches March 20th-22nd.

The festival is the largest Hip-Hop cultural event in the Southeast, and a platform for artists, writers, A&Rs, and fans.

This year the big story is the reunion of the legendary Juice Crew, whom will perform Friday at midnight (only Masta Ace will be missing due to previous commitments).

"I have a surprise for the show that people may not wanna miss and that's all I'll say on that," said Juice Crew member Craig G., who is preparing his new album Operation: Take Back Hip-Hop with producer Marley Marl.

"All in all it feels good,” Craig G. told AllHipHop.com. “Why can't people from our demographic still go out to a Hip-Hop show and hear good music and the younger fans there can get educated a bit? [I’m] not saying they [the rappers] are as big as The [Rolling] Stones or The Eagles but a lot of artists from the so called golden era have great shows! Who says touring like them [the rock groups] shouldn't be possible?"

Other artists performing over the three-day festival include: Little Brother, Reup Gang/Clipse, Blu, Jeru the Damaja, and many more.

There will also be beat battles, urban art, b-boy exhibitions, fashion shows, and movie screenings.

Tickets for the festival range from $30-$45.

SMH...So called hip hop fans should take a look at the rock & roll culture & take notes. 1st off, they RESPECT the pioneers. The up-and-coming artists even reach out to them. Thier fan base is unconditionally LOYAL. (The Rolling Stones, The Police, Led Zepplin, etc... can still sell out sports arenas after being in the game 30+ years) This is the mindset that keeps rock & roll relevant. If we keep dissin' the artist that layed the foundation for the stuff you listen to now, hip hop WILL be dead within the next 5-10 years.

These young dudes are so disrespectful like when T.I. threw that money in Big Boi's face. Please continue to buy your ringtones and let the catalog of the golden era speak for itself. That's why in 10 years Symphony will still be relevant, but Get Low will have gotten lost. Everybody knows the real cash is in Euros anyway and they LOVE hip-hop over there. Here we love pop music and we tolerate rap if it's close enough.

Ain't nothing wrong with young cats thinking they the sh!t, that's what hip-hop has always been about. Every era has their stars, but y'all really need to learn how to respect the artists that made it possible for you to love the music they started.

Damn near every beat and rhyme you hear has been done/used  before, and if you don't the history of the music, you ain't a real fan.
