As the city of Baltimore continues to mourn the loss of 30-year-old DJ K-Swift, funeral arrangements for the club and mixshow pioneer have been released.

The life of Khia Edgerton, will be celebrated on Friday and Saturday (July 25 and 26) with two separate services at two locations.

The New Shiloh Baptist Church will host the memorial services on Friday, starting with a viewing from 10am-6pm.

Immediately following the viewing will be a special wake, with tributes by the Edgerton Family and K-Swift’s extended family at Radio One’s 92Q Jams (WERQ-FM), the station where she started her career as an intern ten years ago.

The New Shiloh Baptist Church is located at 2100 N. Monroe Street in Baltimore.

On Saturday, following a wake at 10am, friends and family will gather at the Murphy Fine Arts Center at Morgan State University to pay their final respects, with funeral services starting at 11 am.

K-Swift will be buried at Loudon Park Cemetery at 3620 Wilkens Avenue.

Flowers can be sent to Morgan State University – Murphy Fine Arts Center; 2201 Argonne Drive; Baltimore, MD 21251.

While an autopsy to determine the cause of death is still pending, authorities believe alcohol may have been a factor in the accident that took K-Swift’s life early Monday morning (July 23), Baltimore police spokesman Donny Moses told the Baltimore Sun.

While hosting a party at her home in northeast Baltimore on Sunday night going into Monday morning, K-Swift is said to have jumped into a shallow, above-ground pool, never to resurface.

Friends pulled her out of the pool and called 911. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Considered an ambassador of the Baltimore club scene, the Baltimore “Club Queen” K-Swift broke ground at 92Q, becoming the station’s first female DJ at the age of 20.

She would eventually rise to the position of Mixshow Coordinator, the only female in the country to hold the position.

In addition to her long stint as host of the Off the Hook Radio Show – the number one night show in Baltimore – she was a popular club DJ and a recording artist, releasing several projects through Unruly Records, helping to push and define the Baltimore club music scene.

Damn I wish they get the story right.  The first report said she was 28, then I read somewhere that she was 29.  Today she's 30 and the headline said the funeral was today, but in the article it says Friday and Saturday.  Oh well!!!!

At any rate, very sad story!  I'm sure her legacy will live on.  May God comfort her family during this time of sorrow.

I was just tellin my friend the other day that you know her funeral is gonna be jam packed as shit. Not to say she was as big as him, but it might be as crazy/busy as Biggie's funeral was in Brooklyn. People not from Bmore may think I'm exaggerating but K-Swift was HUGE in Bmore. I just hope niggas are respectful while there.

    @sillyme
Yeah her age done jumped up and down all week. AHH said one thing, the Sun said another thing, and wjz.com had something different. I just know that the Club Queen isn't here anymore. Damn shame...

KST2G, your not exagerating, this is shock to baltimorians, even people who never met her. In my club hoppin days Ive seen swift out and about. Death can happen to any of us, but it's shocking because its how aaliayah was taken out in the prime of her career. She's a very familiar name/face here, and for her to go out in a accident like this is shocking..

First and foremost R.I.P. MY Homey Khia bka K-Swift BKA THE CLUB QUEEN.....U will be missed like u can't even imagine....

I had been blessed to work with K-Swift on the Dj'n tip and let me say that she is a phenominal person....Most down to earth, real person one could ever meet.  She has a great personality and her dj'n skills are outta this world...She never waz one to follow wat others did.  She waz definitely an Originator.  She took the baltimore club music to a level that no-one could prolly take it to.  From her mixtapes to clubs to parties to her on-air show, she had ALL of BALTIMORE on SMASH.  Everyone respected her.  Even outta towners such as myself.  I'm from New Jersey (732 to be exact) who go to school out in bmore, and in my 4 years of being out here, i as well as other quickly learned about k-swift and all the work she waz putting it...

Swift defiintely has the following out in B-MORE that is CRAZY.... East side B-more will be shut down on saturday for funeral. it's gonna be crazy....She is a legend in Baltimore...Hell she is a legend in The DJ WORLD as well...A female who put it down and then waz very business oriented. Life without her will be hard, and i know i lot of her close peoples who are havin a tuff time dealin with the loss.  To them i say hold ya heads up, and Keep "Rockin Off".

Swift.... U my homey, it was a blessing to have worked with ya.  I appreciate all u've done to help me out.  Trust u me, Ur music will live on thru me...DJ Reem... I promise....

    May U Rest In Peace
