i think they are trying to make the spot into a gaming area as well.  if that's the case the owners (hov and his partners) would have to apply for a gaming license which cost money and time.  so they probably worked out a deal where they would sell the casino the space back and probably get a % of profits for a specified period of time and a deal on a location in Macau which is going to be the biggest gaming center in the world where Sands Corp. (the owner of the Venetian) has a presence there as well.

if its a brand name, he obviously needs a location in every big city so the brand name can get bigger and stringer. vegas is the biggest party city ever so it would be only logical to open one there. it obviously failed because he is selling the lease without the brand name meaning there will only be a 40/40 club in ny and ac. the locations that are mentioned up above like tokyo and macau were probably in place to expand the 40/40 brand anyway but have nothing to do  with the vegas location closing down.


its just like mcdonalds, mcdonalds would never close down so that they can open up other mcdonalds in other locations, it closes down because no ones eating that shit in that particular place.

Jay is essentially a front man for the 40/40 clubs. Yes, he has an ownership stake but who knows how big or much. Much like the New Jersey Nets basketball team. I know for certain Jay is only a minority owner possibly 10% share at best. Brothas being fronting on this and other sites like Jay owns the damn team. Naw dog, an old white man owns the team along with other minority investors. Having said that the Brotha is making plenty paper just not as much as many are led to believe.
