The-Dream Charged With Assault For Allegedly Attacking Pregnant Girlfriend

THE-DREAM TURNED HIMSELF IN TO NYPD FOR ALLEGED ATTACK ON GIRLFRIEND

(AllHipHop News) According to multiple reports R&B singer-songwriter The-Dream turned himself into the New York Police Department yesterday. The artist/producer born Terius Nash is accused of attacking his then-girlfriend Lydia Nam in 2013 and threatening to kill her.

The criminal complaint states that Nash pulled and dragged Nam by her hair. It also claims he choked, kicked and punched her. Nam was eight months pregnant at the time. She did not report the alleged incident until last November.

Nash says he is innocent and the whole ordeal is the result of ongoing civil litigation and child support disputes with Nam.

The-Dream’s representatives released the following statement after his arrest:

Dream voluntarily surrendered to the Midtown North Precinct this morning in order to responsibly address the false allegations filed against him by Lydia Nam. He is innocent of the charges filed against him today, and we are confident that when this case is concluded and all the evidence has been reviewed, it will be clear that he is innocent.

Nash was charged with assault and posted a $20,000 cash bail. He told reporters as he exited the courthouse, “I have nothing to say. It’ll all come out. There are worse things in the world going on.”
