(AllHipHop News) Last Friday, some rap fans were patiently waiting for the arrival of an unexpected joint mixtape from two big stars. The anticipation began with DJ Skee tweeted, “Damn two people are about to break the internet tomorrow with this mixtape coming out of left field.

The social media message sparked speculation that Drake and Future were teaming up to release a collaborative project. September 11 went by without a word about a potential surprise mixtape, but Skee returned to Twitter to insist it is still coming.

Drake and Future added to the hype when the Atlanta rhymer brought Drizzy (and Toronto politician Norm Kelly) out at his Ryerson University concert. While Skee reports a new joint effort will be hitting the net soon, he has not confirmed the release will be a Drake/Future project.
