Snoop Dogg And Warren G Memorialize Nate Dogg On Anniversary Of Passing

#RIPNATEDOGG: SNOOP AND WARREN G REMEMBER NATE!

(AllHipHop News) Starting in the 1990’s and to this day, legendary Hip-Hop trio 213 is saluted as the best to ever do it from Long Beach.

Putting the LBC on the map Snoop Dogg, Warren G and of course the late-Nate Dogg were some of the first artists to ever reach main stream success from that part of Los Angeles.

Compton had their fame, but when Dre brought Snoop, and then when Warren G and Nate Dogg had the hit “Regulate,” the guys were house-hold names and were living out their Hip-Hop dreams.

Throughout all of the trials and tribulations the guys remained cool making music and pleasing the fans for years as friends first.

As a solo artist Nate had great success and went on to be regarded as one of the best “hook” or chorus singers in Hip-Hop history.

Nate’s father was a pastor, so Nate grew up in the church and learned to sing at an early age while living in Mississippi.

After a relocating to Long Beach after his parent’s divorce, Nate was living in LA for several years and dropped out of high school. He would eventually go on to serve in the Marines but came back to LA to link up with 213.

By 1990 Nate was recording with Snoop and Warren G, and three of them were making songs that were being heard at local parties in their ‘hood.

Dre got word of their sound and eventually Nate Dogg was signed to Death Row where Nate worked regularly with artists like 2pac, Tha Dogg Poung and Dr. Dre.

Nate also was a part of some memorable Hip-Hop hits including but not limited to 2Pac’s “All About U”, Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode,” Mos Def & Pharoahe Monch “Oh No,” Fabolous’ “Can’t Deny It,” Ludacris’ “Area Codes,” 50 Cent’s “21 Questions,” Eminem’s “‘Till I Collapse,” “Shake That” and many others.

Nate would go on to record four Grammy Nominated hits including the aforementioned songs “Regulate,” “The Next Episode” (Dr. Dre), “Area Codes” (Ludacris) and “Shake That” (Eminem).

“Regulate” was such a big hit at its time, that it went RIAA Gold on June 28, 1994, and then went Platinum  just a little over a month later on August 8th

Nate Dogg passed away on March 15, 2011 due to complications with multiple strokes, he was just 41 years old.
