(AllHipHop News) Ty Dolla $ign and Pusha T are set to rock the mic for a cause with their #SchoolsNotPrisons tour.
According to The Seattle Times, the tour is set to begin August 6 in Sacramento and will also land in six other cities in the state of California.
The community conscious event aims to raise awareness about the costs of incarceration and encourage youth to inspire change in the system through political engagement and peaceful activism.
According to Californians for Safety and Justice, the state has constructed 22 new prisons and increased corrections spending by 1,500 percent since 1980.
Other artists slated to make an appearance on the tour are latin singer and songwriter Ceci Bastida, latin band La Santa Cecilia, Maryland singer Gallant, and The Fugees’ John Forte.
This is not the first time that Pusha T and Ty Dolla $ign have collaborated on a project, as the two were recently featured together on the DJ Drama track “Boyz In The Hood” along with Meek Mill.
