A$AP Rocky dropped a playful bombshell about his growing family with Rihanna while attending the world premiere of The Smurfs in Brussels on Saturday (June 28), teasing that the couple might be aiming for Wayans-level numbers when it comes to kids.
“We gone’ be like the Wayans family,” Rocky told Entertainment Tonight, referencing the famously large and tight-knit Hollywood clan. He followed up with, “I mean, love is beautiful, and it’s just spreading it.”
The Harlem-born rapper was on hand to support Rihanna, who voices Smurfette in the animated film. When asked if their next baby is the daughter he’s been waiting for, Rocky nearly gave it away before catching himself.
“It is, man,” he said, then quickly pointed to a Smurfette doll and added, “Right here.”

Rihanna has made no secret of her wish to have a daughter. In an April conversation with longtime stylist and Interview Magazine editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg, she said she wants “as many [kids] as God wants” and made it clear she’s hoping for a girl. “I want a girl,” she said. “I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
The couple already shares two sons. Speaking last year, Rihanna admitted raising a daughter would be a whole new experience.
“I wouldn’t even know what to do with a girl since I only know boys so far. It would be a whole new adventure,” she said.
If they’re serious about matching the Wayans, they’ve got a long way to go. The original Wayans siblings—Dwayne, Keenen, Diedra, Damon, Kim, Elvira, Nadia, Devonne, Shawn and Marlon—total 10.
The second generation is keeping pace, too, with Damon Wayans Jr. having six kids and Keenen Ivory Wayans fathering five.
