(AllHipHop News) Dave Chappelle joked that Black people have come from a broth of unsolved mysteries. Later this month, National Geographic will re-examine the Tupac murder mystery as apart of their special The ’90s: The Last Great Decade?
Tupac Shakur was shot on Las Vegas Boulevard on September 7th, 1996 and then transported to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. According to the director of Tupac’s music video “2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted” Gobi Rahimi and members of The Outlawz patrolled outside of the hospital in fear of their lives:
I think they had weapons in their car because the whole time we were there, we were fearful [whoever shot Tupac] was gonna come finish him off.
Outlawz member E.D.I. Mean stated that Tupac’s murder is being concealed, because “Tupac did shoot two off-duty police officers down in Atlanta so law enforcement around the country weren’t Tupac fans.” Arsenio Hall expounds on that point and makes a startling proclamation:
“I believe that if Justin Bieber had gotten shot in Tupac’s car, we’d know more.”
National Geographic’s The ’90s: The Last Great Decade? special airs July 6th to July 8th at 9 p.m. EST. Check out the clip on Tupac’s murder here.
