(AllHipHop News) After over a 20 year career in music, Nas has inspired, collaborated with, and beefed with some of the biggest names in Hip Hop, so there are sure to be many behind-the-scenes stories about the Queensbridge emcee floating in the ether.

Two Hip Hop veterans recently chatted with Combat Jack to share their past experiences with the creator of the classic album Illmatic. Large Professor told Jack that he considers Nas the “Golden Child” citing his lyrical ability as “out of the ordinary.” The Main Source founding member also discussed how he first connected with Esco and his determination to help him get recognition.
Black Thought’s story centered around his past issues with Nas over comments he made about The Roots’ appearance in Spike Lee’s film Bamboozled. According to Thought, Nas’ shots at The Roots for portraying a group called “The Alabama Porch Monkeys” were the result of Nas dealing with his mother’s battle with cancer. The situation was later settled at a Talib Kweli show.
