(AllHipHop News) The Super Bowl and its week-long string of endless events is headed to the New York area this year, and VH1 is planning to throw 6 different daily concerts starting on Monday, January 27th. The VH1 Super Bowl Blitz will feature artists from several genres performing in the five NYC boroughs and New Jersey.

J. Cole, Janelle Monae, Fall Out Boy, TLC, Goo Goo Dolls, and Gavin DeGraw will all participate in respective concerts that will air live on the network each night and stream on the VH1 mobile app and at SuperBowl.VH1.com. A limited amount of tickets for each performance will be available for purchase.
Those interested in attending the shows can also win tickets by following @VH1 on Twitter for tweets to secret times and places in New York where they can get their pictures taken with Iggy The Penguin, the official mascot of the Super Bowl Blitz. After tagging their pictures with the hashtag #VH1Blitz, fans will be entered for a chance to win. The Twitter sweepstakes begins January 13th.
