Jay’s contribution to “Seen It All” featured the Brooklyn legend rapping about his days selling cocaine and the perils that come with it. Jeezy spoke with MTV about the track, and revealed that Jay got emotional as his put together the lyrics for his guest verse.
“When I sent it to him, he just hit me back like, ‘whoo.’ He sent it back in like 30-40 minutes top,” said Jeezy. “We got on the line and he was like, ‘Yo Jeez, when I was writing the verse I had tears in my eyes.’ Because it just took him so far back to Marcy.”
The world may not have been able to even experience “Seen It All” with Jeezy and Jay Z if the producer of the cut had not made an email mistake. Cardo recently admitted the track was not meant for Jeez and Jigga.
“I sent [it] to Jeezy by accident. I had two beats named under the same [name] in my folder for some reason and it got duplicated. I don’t know what happened; sometimes I’ll name the beat the same thing for some damn reason,” said Cardo.
