(AllHipHop News) The latest Internet rap “beef” has been Los Angeles’ The Game versus Atlanta’s Young Thug. The feud escalated quickly this week after both rappers posted messages about the other on social media. Some observers were afraid the confrontational back-and-forth in the digital space would spread to the streets.
Chicago representative Jojo Capone claims the situation will not turn violent. He called into Forbz DVD to explain how he played a role in ending the feud between Game and Thugger.
“I guess Game went to [Thug’s] Instagram page and seen a picture of me on the page. He was like, ‘Aw damn. I done went at this dude. Big homie rocking with him, so let me hit him up,'” says Capone. “He told me what happened. I was like, ‘Before this sh*t gets out of hand let me go ahead and put the water on the flame.”
Capone then called Thug and told him he needs to let the feud end. He also relayed to both rappers there is too many important social and political issues, such as the situation in Baltimore, to have them focused on attacking each other. The Global Gangsters CEO expressed concern for Game and Thug’s safety from other sources as well.
“Don’t give the police a reason to kill one of y’all,” Capone told The Game and Young Thug. He later added, “I didn’t ask them. I begged both of them to leave that sh*t alone.”
Both Game and Thug have spoken out in support of the protesters in Baltimore and other participants in the #BlackLivesMatter movement. For Capone, sending threats on Instagram is contradictory to the spirit of those protests.
“You can’t turn around and be hypocritical and say ‘Black Lives Matter’ then y’all two go at each other,” Capone noted.

There is a difference between Muhammad Ali’s braggadocio and Floyd Mayweather’s arrogance. Ali proclaimed, “I am the greatest!” and we smiled and laughed and said ok, dude believes in his own hype, but in a non-serious, non-threatening kind-of-way. Ali’s keen smile and jovial character made even his worst enemies secretly admired him and history has already put him in the iconoclastic pantheon of sports heroes/athletes who have transcended their chosen sport—in this case, boxing.
Muhammad Ali stood for something! He went to jail as a “Conscientious Objector” to the Vietnam War—telling America that those little brown Vietnamese people had never called him a n#####. He became a member of the Nation of Islam—a reactionary religious move where he dealt with America’s white supremacy problem. Ali was so pro-black that he once threw his Olympic Gold Medal in the effin’ river, because he could not wear a medal for a country that held his (black) people as second-class citizens.
Yes! Muhammad Ali was beaten in the ring—several times, but that was not his undoing and neither did it deter from his greatness. Ali was/is a great human being and a credit to his race! That’s what makes him “The Greatest,” not any record of wins verses losses! This is where Floyd Mayweather has the game f##### up! You can never eliminate or overlook the “humanity element” in greatness! So what if Floyd is perfectly undefeated in the ring? So what! In my best Tony Montana voice, “Whoever said having a perfect record meant that you were the greatest? What is the criterion or criteria for claiming the mythical title of the greatest in boxing?” Ali gave us heart & soul! Mayweather gives us money & mammon (riches). Ali used to walk through a Miami ghetto and cause sheer pandemonium! Floyd walks through strip clubs and causes sheer p#####-monium!
Muhammad Ali was a little “god” around the world and more specifically, in Africa, going so far as to slay the dragon that was George Forman (the “Mike Tyson” of the ‘70’s) in the famous “Rumble in the Jungle”—bringing his sport to the people of Africa. Conversely, Floyd has s###### on Africa asking the rhetorically ignorant question, “Why is he not giving to Africa? But what has Africa giving to us? What has Africa came and gave to my children, to my family? If I’m gonna mess money off in a bad way, I’m-a spend it on myself!”
Negro please! “WHAT HAS AFRICA GIVEN TO US?” Let me tell ya! Africa gave the world arts & sciences, philosophy, law, religion, mathematics & algebra, smelting iron, mining gold & silver, diamonds! Africa gave us—the United States of America some 100 million African worker-bees (i.e. captives) that built this great country so that 400 years later a historically recalcitrant Negro like Floyd Mayweather could make money! Africa gave us rhythm & blues, call & response, jazz and the newest fuckery-of-a-musical-genre—rap music! The whole world is indebted to Africa! All of the diamonds that are in Floyd’s jewels come from the blood diamond mines of Africa! Africa is the cradle of civilization and the mother of all living! WHAT HAS AFRICA GIVEN TO US? What HASN’T Africa given to us?!!!!!!!
The fact that Floyd mentions Africa and his reasons for not donating to one of those impoverished countries is his way of undoing Ali’s greatness—like it was no big thing that Ali fought in Africa and felt a kinship to the people of Africa.
Clearly, Floyd Mayweather is trying to undo the legacy of Muhammad Ali by proclaiming that he’s “The Greatest.” Floyd is sniffing the jockstrap of Ali, but I’m here to tell him that his balls aren’t big enough to fill Ali’s jockstrap! Floyd is just an obstinate little imp who suffers from a little man’s Napoleonic Complex of megalithic proportions! F### your money and profligate show of wealth! Floyd claims that every (great) boxer should feel like they’re the best ever, but if you listen to great boxers speak on Muhammad Ali there is a reverence so evident—so thick that none would challenge the veracity (truthfulness) of Ali’s claim as “The Greatest” as evidenced in the following clip.
48-0 in and of itself does not qualify you as “The Greatest!” Hell, Rocky Marciano retired undefeated at 49-0 and he had no fewer “bums” (boxing lingo for not-so-good fighters) than Mayweather, having fought Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore. To attain the title as “The Greatest” entitles endearing one’s self to the people, something Mayweather sucks at. By his adult actions, he was the kind of child that went around the neighborhood with a popsicle—as it melt and ran down his arm, never eating it, but rather showing it off to all the little boys & girls who didn’t have one. He wanted to make sure their lives sucked.
At-the-end-of-the-day, Mayweather can give a gazillion interviews on why he’s “The Greatest,” but as the ghetto-cliché goes, “We don’t believe you! You need more people!” You are great in your era—the era of “bums” and catching foes pass their prime—the era of winning at any cost over prize fighting—the era of pitty-pat-cotton-punching-defensively-skilled-please-don’t-hit-me-championship-fights. I don’t like your boring-ass fights and I’m not awed by your great ability to duck a punch, run and hold. Sorry! I’m from the Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler, Thomas Hearns, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Roy Jones era—where men got into the “squared circle” and left their manhood & heart in the ring. This defensive s### Floyd’s doing? Save the drama fo’ ya mama! I will never YouTube that s###!
And as for thinking Floyd can lay claim to Muhammad Ali’s “The Greatest?” Floyd couldn’t carry Ali’s jockstrap in the ring or in life! Keep on chasing the elusive & Holy Grail of boxing titles if you want! You’ll next measure up! No “smedium” jockstraps allowed!
(AllHipHop News) The singles chart from the summer of 2014 was dominated by female rapper Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” but 2015 could be the year of the male rapper controlling Billboard.
With Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” holding on to the top spot on the Hot 100 for the fourth consecutive week and Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” rising up to number two this week, the two rappers managed to accomplish something that has not been done since 2009.
This is the first time in six years two male rap stars have respective songs in the top two spots on the Hot 100. It was back in March of ’09 when Flo Rida sat at the pinnacle of the chart with “Right Round,” and T.I. was right behind him at #2 with “Dead and Gone” featuring Justin Timberlake.
Wiz and Fetty are leading the tally of the best performing singles in the country, but another rising rapper is also making waves on the Hot 100. T-Wayne’s “Nasty Freestyle” sits at number 9 on the chart.
Other notable placements include Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk!” featuring Bruno Mars (#3), The Weeknd’s “Earned It” (#4), Jason Derulo’s “Want To Want Me” (#8), and Omarion’s “Post To Be” featuring Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko (#13).

(AllHipHop News) Chicago based performer Chance The Rapper gave a lecture at Harvard University’s Hip Hop Archive & Research Institute last week. Fader picked up some of The Social Experiment member’s quotes from the event.
Chance talked about a variety of topics including the controversial Tidal streaming service purchased by Jay Z and other superstar entertainers. He also spoke about the uprising in Baltimore following the killing of Freddie Gray while in police custody.
On Tidal and other streaming services:
So the Tidal formula is awesome if it actually works out. It’s a direct fan-to-artist or fan-to-supplier type of connection, but it’s not really working that way yet. Everybody that was on the stage was like signed to a label and sh*t. At the end of the day, all these streaming services are whack as f*ck.
On the situation in Baltimore:
I think it’s really most important for everybody to be informed, to be connected to the situation. I always say like there’s an act—when to be a hand or to be a voice. You gotta know when your Twitter is stronger or your body actually marches. Sometimes it’s either/or, you know? But I don’t want to dance around saying this s### is wrong. I think we all know that. It’s very hard to watch it happening on a loop.”

Apparently T.I. has been dragged into the legal battle between Iggy Azalea and her ex-husband Hefe Wine over her unreleased music with the rapper. T.I. is allegedly to be called to testify in the courtroom. Iggy Azalea and Wine have been battling in court over several unreleased songs recorded by the rapper. She accused him of stealing her music and then trying to sell the music, despite him not having the rights to the songs. Hefe says she signed away her rights years ago and he should be allowed to sell the unreleased tracks. According to court documents filed on April 27th, Iggy’s ex has informed the court he will be calling rapper T.I. to the stand to question him about his deal with the rapper.
Tyga has been denying he is involved with 17-year-old Kylie Jenner but he has finally decided to admit to what many have suspected all along. TMZ reports that T-Raww is not concerned about laws regarding dating minors and does not see anything “morally wrong” with having a 17-year-old girlfriend at 25-year-old.
It’s reported that he feels that Jenner is a “mature 17” and that he admires that she has her own $2 million home, her own business and has her own money. Now that he has confessed, nothing will change because law enforcement officials cannot investigate. The authorities can look into statutory rape if a mandated reporter or her parents complain, and so far no one has said a word.
Tyga recently proclaimed his love her by getting her name tattooed on his arm.

Lucy Pierlett teams with Famsquad for “Money Ball” , the bouncy follow up club single to “Mary Jane”. The record is a drastic departure for Lucy as she goes toe to toe emceeing with lyrical stalwarts Omekka and Giano Green (Famsquad). Midwest upstart Broskii Da Prince provides the perfect chorus to get the club going. Lucy Pierlett’s “LP” arrives this summer.
A Texas cop was penalized for taking a picture with Snoop Dogg and now he is snapping back with a lawsuit, but an investigation of the situation has found some less than nice emails, Billboard reports.
While working as extra security at the SXSW festival, off duty cop Billy Spears snapped a picture with Snoop Dogg, which Snoop posted on his Instagram with the caption “Me n my deputy dogg.” Spears’ higher ups weren’t too happy about him taking a picture with Snoop and he was later reprimanded for it because they did not feel it was a good representation of the department due to Snoop having drug possession convictions. Being disciplined didn’t sit too well with Spears so he has filed a lawsuit against the department, but the investigation of the incident has uncovered some nasty emails.
“Apparently he would rather work the convention while on a week’s vacation to earn additional money rather than take an additional tour on the border,” Department of Public Safety director Steve McCraw wrote. “He must not understand that he was being lampooned by a dope smoking cop hater which reflects very poorly on the department.”
Spears feels that him being reprimanded is retaliation from him filing a complaint against a superior weeks before. The incident is being handled in a Travis County court.

Ever since The Game decided to get involved in the Young Thug – Lil’ Wayne “beef” there has been a back-and-forth exchange of shots on social media. Young Thug’s goons associates say “this is the same sh*t that got Biggie and Tupac killed.” They send a “warning” to him saying if he comes to Atlanta they will be at his neck. Sighs “Hip-Hop” 2015.
Dame Dash is backpedaling again. The Harlem boss seems to have had a change of heart and now “real men” can have bosses. Dash is now saying his philosophy is to “invest in yourself” whether you’re the boss or the worker. He’s now saying it’s okay to work for the man just make sure you put some of that money back and use some to invest. These new comments are a sharp contrast to the ones he made during his interview at The Breakfast Club. Dash also said the younger generation is embracing his messages of independence and investing in yourself. Dash continues to be a “Boss” it seems as he is releasing his next film soon, launching a Netflix-like service, and launching a whiskey and white wine soon.
“I’m not saying don’t go get a job,” Dash told BOSSIP. “I’m saying while you have that job, invest some of that into putting it into something you own. Instead of buying sneakers and cars, put it in a business.”

As we know now Tyga is clearly defiant with his relationship with his 17-year-old boo Kylie Jenner. He doesn’t really care about the laws that prohibit adults from having sex with minors, but now he really doesn’t have to because law enforcement won’t investigate statutory rape involving a 17-year-old unless someone complains, even if the relationship is widely reported. Apparently no one is complaining.
Allegedly, Tyga is telling friends, as far as he’s concerned Kylie is more mature than most adults. She’s a millionaire who runs a company and even owns her own home. T-Raww won’t completely admit that he’s intimate with Kylie, but it’s the obvious. Allegedly, he says he “doesn’t give a f*** about what the law says.” According to him age is relative, and there’s nothing “morally wrong” with a mature 17-year-old dating a 25-year-old.
