J. Cole, Iggy Azalea And More Among Nominees For Billboard Music Awards
The nominees have been announced for this year’s Billboard Music Awards and Iggy Azalea and Sam Smith lead the pack with the most nominations.
The Aussie spitter has 12 and the Grammy award-winning Smith grabbed 13. Iggy is nominated for Top Rap Song, with two songs in the category, Top Female Artist and Top Rap Album, where she will face off against J. Cole, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Eminem. Smith will be up against the likes of Trey Songz, Drake, Pharrell Williams and Chris Brown in categories like Top Male Artist, Top R&B Album and Top Radio Song.
Pharrell scored six nominations while John Legend has seven and Nicki Minaj has four. Bobby Shmurda even snagged a nom for Top Streaming Song for his hit “Hot Boy.”
The ceremony will be hosted by Ludacris and will air live on May 17th at 8.p.m EST on ABC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Lil' Wayne Reportedly Did Not Drop The Lawsuit Against Birdman
Media personality Karen Civil announced via her Twitter that Wayne did not drop the $51 million lawsuit against Birdman, he’s just filing it in their hometown of New Orleans, LA.

A lawyer has confirmed Civil’s claims, according to published reports.
“The lawsuit has not been dropped,” said the lawyer. “The forum for the hearing of the claims is in the process of being transferred to courts in Louisiana.”
The Jasmine Brand had obtained documents stating that Wayne dropped the lawsuit “without prejudice” which means that it can be filed again at any time, which is what Weezy seems to be doing.
The lawsuit was originally filed in January after the YM captain claimed that he was not paid his $8 million advance he was promised after turning in his long awaited album, Tha Carter V.
Things still appear to be quite ugly regarding the feud between Wayne and Cash Money. During a recent club appearance, he threw major shade at his former label when he said “F–k Cash Money!” while promoting his upcoming Free Weezy Album.

Keyshia Cole Avoids Jail Time
After Keyshia Cole was arrested for punching a woman she found at her then boyfriend Birdman’s home, it was discovered that there was already a bench warrant for her arrest and that she was on probation for over 10 years, TMZ reports.
Back in 2002, the “Let It Go” singer was charged with a DUI and had attend mandatory alcohol education classes. The court was not notified of her completion of the classes, so they issued a bench warrant for her arrest. Her lawyer, Shawn Holley, claims that she finished the course but her previous lawyer did not let the courts know. However, Holley says the DMV must have been informed because she has been issued two driver’s licenses since then.
Since the Oakland native was unknowingly on probation, the judge voided the 13-year-old bench warrant and terminated her probation. If he did not, Cole would have had to serve 30 days in jail.
