Hip Hop Rumors: Couple or Nah? Lil Wayne and Christina Milian Boo'd Up at The ESPYS

Less than a month after calling off the engagement between she and Rap-A-Lot Records CEO Jas Prince, Christina Milian has been spotted out and about a lot with YMCMB leader Lil Wayne.

The latest spotting was last night at The 2014 ESPSY Awards, where Wayne brought Milian as his date. Although the two contend that the relationship is strictly professional, we doubt holding hands with your co-worker would be considered appropriate in the workplace.

Lil wayne-Christinas

They actually make a cute couple, but am I the only one who confuses Milian with Lil Wayne’s ex-fiance’ Nivea? Is it just me? Hmmmm…

Fresh Heat – Lil Waah (Swizz Beatz' Cousin) – "On My Arm"

Lil Waah comes from hip-hop royalty and he is being mentored by his cousin Swizz Beatz, who is apparently very involved with Lil Waah’s upcoming project. Armed with over 2 million Twitter followers from Swizz Beatz, Lil Waah is set to push “On My Arm,” which embodies the elements of a new teen pop-star, energetic with a smooth playful flow it verifies why Lil Waah is not only Ruff Ryders next superstar; but the face of Hip-Hop’s next generation.

After all, Lil Waah was born into a “Hip-Hop Royal Family” with a serious pedigree, which includes his father (Waah Dean), his uncle (Dee Dean) and his aunt (Chivon Dean) all co-founders of the Ruff Ryders enterprise of companies and all played integral roles in launching the careers of DMX, The Lox, Eve, Swizz Beatz, Cassidy and solo releases from all three members of The Lox. At its pinnacle, Ruff Ryders would also go on to release five label compilation projects over the course of a decade; and included 1 Platinum and billboard topping release and 2 projects that went Gold and made debuts on Billboards Top 5 chart.

While he maybe young, Lil Waah’s experience far outweighs his age as he asserts “I just want people to feel me and appreciate my work,” he says. “I take this seriously. I don’t do this because people get paid from it. I really want to change the way music is done.”

Richard Pryor Jr: Nick Cannon Changed My Mind On Him Playing My Father

(AllHipHop News) With the world being in the year 2014 that means that children of deceased legends from the 70’s and 80’s are now grown and able to portray their parents in biopics. According to Richard Pryor’s son, he has been so impressed by Nick Cannon’s dedication to playing his father in an upcoming biopic that he has changed his mind on the rapper/actor.

Pryor Jr initially did not believe Cannon would be able to adequately capture his father on screen for the upcoming Lee Daniels biopic about his deceased father. However, in a recent interview with Daily Mail, the son of one of the greatest comedians of all time stated that

He did the small thing of using his left hand instead of his right hand, he picked up smoking to try and emulate my dad, he’s let his hair grow out. He’s looking into who my dad really was, looking into his childhood, who he was raised by and around, and he is interested in talking to me about who my dad was.

Cannon has not officially been named the lead actor on the as-of-yet untitled Richard Pryor biopic. Pryor’s work is under the control of his widow, Jennifer Lee Pryor, a fact that causes concern for Pryor Jr:

She is going to portray herself as angelic when it was the opposite,’ he continued. ‘She’s not a nice lady…My dad’s money took care of him; they didn’t even live in the same home.

Pryor Jr has sent requests to be involved in the process of the film’s production to Jennifer Lee Pryor’s attorneys.

Linda Perry Says Beyonce Takes Credit For Songs She Didn't Write Because She's Beyonce

(AllHipHop News) Beyonce has apparently taken the adage “giving credit where credit is due” in the wrong direction. In a recent Reddit AMA session, fame Rock artist, Linda Perry addressed Beyonce taking songwriting credits for songs she did not write.

According to Perry, Beyonce and other artists similar to Beyonce take songwriting credits for songs they don’t write due to the assistance their fame gives the song’s popularity:

Thats not songwriting but some of these artists believe if it wasnt for them your song would never get out there so they take a cut just because they are who they are. but everyone knows the real truth even Beyonce. She is talented but in a completely different way.

On numerous occasions Beyonce has stated or intimated that she wrote her hit song “Irreplacable”, particularly in a 2008 Marie Claire where she states “‘I’m sure people think I wrote it about [Jay-Z] or something, but… the obvious person is not the person at all. In a 2012 interview with The Breakfast Club, Ne-Yo, one of the co-writers for “Irreplacable” stated Beyonce only wrote the background harmonies for the song.

Nick Young: Iggy Azaela Was Affected By BET Awards Backlash Caused By Nicki Minaj

(AllHipHop News) There is no NBA basketball happening outside of unbearably unwatchable Summer League games so Los Angeles Lakers’ shooting guard Nick Young is now using his time to speak out for his girlfriend. In a recent interview, Young admits that Azaela was negatively affected by the backlash she received after Nicki Minaj’s acceptance speech at last month’s BET Awards.

During her acceptance speech after winning the Best Female Rapper award for the fifth straight year, Minaj remarked that  “when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it” and thanked BET for honoring authenticity. While Azaela posted on her personal Instagram account that she was “unbothered by anything that happened at the BET Awards”, her boyfriend says different to New York Daily News:

I had to deal with the aftermath of all that. When she came home and was going through her phones, hearing everybody talking trash about her. I had to be there for her.

On July 2nd, Minaj posted on her personal Twitter account that she has “congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud.”

Lil Wayne: You Don't See Me Diss, I Don't Know How To Battle Rap (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne used his weekly vlog series “Weezy Wednesdays” to discuss Saturday night’s Total Slaughter battle rap event.

During the video, Wayne admits he is not capable of performing at the level of the top-tier battlers, and that’s why he rarely records diss tracks toward other rappers.

“I don’t know how to battle rap. For instance, you don’t see me diss. I don’t diss people,” said Wayne. “I don’t really now how to do that. I don’t know how to battle rap – talk about what you got on. I don’t know how to do that s**t.”

Wayne praises the battle rappers’ talents. He points out one star of the sport that he is not trying to face head-to-head in the battle arena.

“I’m letting you now. [Murda] Mook don’t come at me dog. Don’t swing at me neck. I bow down,” said Wayne. “I’m letting y’all fans know now, I ain’t f**king with Mook… My arms too short to box with you God.”

The Young Money boss says he is not into the back-and-forth with other rappers, but he has dissed some emcees in the past. Two of the more high-profile being his verbal spats with Pusha T and Jay Z. Wayne released the track “Ghoulish” as a response to Pusha’s “Exodus: 23:1.” He also threw a few shots at Jay on his “It’s Good” after Hov’s “baby money” line on “H.A.M.”

Drake Disses Macklemore, Does A Skit With Chris Brown & Gets Curved By Skylar Diggins At ESPYS

One of the noticeable disses was aimed at Macklemore and his controversial wins at this year’s Grammys. A picture of Mack was placed on the screen in the venue as Drake sang the lyrics, “Real talent doesn’t always win championships, like real music doesn’t always win Grammys.”

While Drizzy took comedic aim at one of his musical competitors, he also set aside his differences with another target of a past feud. Former foe Chris Brown popped in the skit “Drake vs Blake.”

Drake also lampooned Manny Pacquiao during the show. The Young Money performer dressed up as the boxer and sang Frozen‘s “Let It Go.”

Drake was the main person throwing the shots during the evening, but he became the butt of jokes as well. Drizzy was already being referred to as “thirsty” because of his social media infatuation with WNBA star Skylar Diggins, and last night the Tulsa Shock player made it clear Drake will never get to “dig in.”

According to the docs filed on July 15, Fazzio claims he has not been properly compensated for his work on behalf of Dash, and he has repeatedly tried to contact his client without receiving any response.

The legal papers state:

I have consistently communicated with Defendant Dash, and his representatives, asking for them to assist with their defense and asking them to cure large outstanding balances owed to the Firm, and indicated repeatedly that the Firm would be making this motion to withdraw as counsel if the pattern of non-responsiveness and non-compliance with their payment obligations continued and if the outstanding bill for services rendered to date was not paid.

One of Dash’s ongoing lawsuits is a breach of contract and copyright infringement complaint. Dwayne Walker is suing Dash, Jay Z, and Universal Music Group. Walker claims he created the Roc-A-Fella logo and was never properly paid for his design.
