Drake Talks Not Being Lonely, Hip Hop Competition, Confirms Future Will Be On Tour (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Drake has not only ascended past his peers in terms of sheer volume of #1 Hip Hop hits, but also in frequency of negative criticism. In a recent interview with Q with Jian Ghomeshi, Drake spoke on his “lonely” public perception, Hip Hop competition, songwriting process and more.

In terms of Hip Hop competition, Drake spoke on the inherent nature of confrontation in Hip Hop. While, Drake did not name any of his recent rivals but he did say he is the only one who can arrogantly proclaim to be the best:

There’s something to be said for the fact that a lot of people talk that talk and just do it because that’s what hip hop is about. I’m gonna talk like I’m the biggest dog but I’m not. I’m actually the one guy, the one young guy that can really step up to the plate and talk my game and I check out.

If you type in “Drake meme” into Google Images, the image of you’ll get of Drake is a man who is constantly heartbroken and is almost synonymous with emotions. Drake tries to clear that up by asserting that he actually has a happy life:

I’m so sick of people saying I’m lonely and emotional and associating me with this longing for a woman. I hate that, man. It bothers me so much because I don’t make…I do make music that makes you feel something, [but] I’m actually not that guy in real life. I’m very happy. I’m not content by any means, I want to keep working, but I’m a happy person.

In related news, after reports that Future had been dropped from Drake’s Would You Like A Tour, both artists confirm on their personal social media accounts that Future will in fact be on the tour:

WTF News: Parents Sell Daughter Online to Buy iPhone and Shoes

People never seem to astonish with how low they can actually stoop. In this case, a Chinese couple is facing criminal punishment for allegedly selling their daughter so they could buy an iPhone and shoes. Reports didn’t give an exact amount but it’s said that they accepted somewhere between 30,000 and 50,000 yuan (£3,000 to £5,000) and used the money for a new iPhone.

Shanghai prosecutors have brought a case against the couple for human trafficking after they put their third child up for adoption through online postings, reports said.

And it wasn’t just an iPhone they splashed out on, reports say the mother, whose name has not been released, also bought high-end sports shoes and other products with her large payout.

The couple apparently told the police that they wanted the girl to have a better life than they could provide.

You want your daughter to have a better life so instead of just putting her up for adoption you sell her? Alrighty then.

(AllHipHop News) Chicago rappers Kanye West and Common are grabbing headlines for their comments about the violence that plagues their hometown of Chicago.

Kanye West appeared on “The Jimmy Kimmel Show” and during the interview with Kimmel, West stated: “Don’t antagonize me, cause you know what? It’s not safe for you in the zoo. Never think that I’m not from Chicago for one second and think that you can walk up and disrespect me and my family, constantly,” in relation to his physical encounter with a photographer at LAX in July.

Today, Common responded to the comments on TMZ.com, during a quick interview on the streets of New York City. Common agreed with Kanye, about the violence in their city.

“You see what’s going on with the young people right now, there’s a lot of death and violence going on in Chicago, but we’re gonna make change,” Common promised.

Chicago activist Harold “OG Noonie G.” Ward is a former high-ranking member of The Gangster Disciples, the nation’s largest gang.

Ward, who has worked with closely with Kanye and Common on various anti-violence events in Chicago, is featured in an in-depth article in Bloomberg Market, which is scheduled to hit shelves this month.

The article details the Gangster Disciples’ historical role in the heroin pipeline into Chicago, and the bloody grip Joaquin Guzman’s Mexican drug cartel holds over the city.

“It’s the Mexican cartels and the powers that be in Chicago,” Noonie G. told AllHipHop.com. “The drugs are coming from Mexico to Chicago. It’s a $3.5 billion industry. It’s the hardest on the South and West sides, where you see most of the violence coming from. People are fighting over that cartel drug money. The violence wasn’t as bad until this started happening, and now you see it going to another level.”

Noonie G., who was featured on an episode of “American Gangster” about Chicago’s gangs, turned his life around after a prison stint in 1994 and has been active in Chicago politics ever since.

He even worked with President Barack Obama when the Commander-in-Chief was an activist in the Altgeld Gardens housing complex.

President Obama’s former Chief-of-Staff, Rahm Emanuel, is the current Mayor of “Chiraq,” while Garry F. McCarthy serves as the city’s Police Chief.

“Our Police Chief is Hollywood. He ain’t no real Police Chief,” Noonie G. told AllHipHop.com of McCarthy, who starred in the Sundance reality series “Brick City,” which centered around gangs and crime in Newark, New Jersey.

“They are getting paid off these kids. Crime pays,” Noonie G. continued. “Each one of these kids are like pawns. Chicago is known to be the most ruthless city for everything. From the police to everything else. They could stop this level of killings if they wanted to. They get all this money from Washington DC, but they don’t use the money for education programs, or gang prevention.”

Noonie G. says he works tirelessly to help stem the violence in Chicago, but a major presence is noticeably absent – that of the rappers.

According to Noonie G., it’s just not enough for the Chicago rappers to pay attention to the violent epidemic sweeping through the Windy City.

Noonie G. is seeking the support of the entire Hip-Hop industry, as he attempts to help calm the violence in the streets of Chicago, which also stems from the lack educational opportunities for teens in the city, after Mayor Emanuel ordered 47 elementary schools permanently closed.

“I need the rappers to come together, and not with the powers that be,” Noonie G. told AllHipHop.com. “We need to sit down without any music industry politics, with the street guys and really try to figure out what we can do with these kids. Right now, rappers are coming to Chicago, doing their concerts and getting their money, but they keep on going. Don’t none of them go to the hood. They’re scared. But the thing is your black. You’re not scared of the Ku Klux Klan, but you’re scared of your own people? I am not asking anyone for any money. Their influence would be enough.”

EXCLUSIVE: S####-O Details Relationship With Meek Mill, Speaks on “Pound Cake” Freestyle

(AllHipHop News) Major Figga’s original member S####-O sat down with AllHipHop.com, after serving over 10 years in jail, to speak on coming back to the street and reestablishing his rap career.

Before he was released S####-O explains Philly’s own, Meek Mill, reached out to him to make sure everything would be good upon his release. The result was the new freestyle “Pound Cake” featuring the pair.

“Meek’s a good guy,” S####-O told AllHipHop.com. “He reached out to me while I was in prison. I spoke with him a couple of times and the day I was released he came to see me.

“He [Meek Mill] was like ‘I’m going to help you try to get yourself back together because I grew up on you, you one of the reasons why I do this,” S####-O continued. “I owe this to you, I’m going to help you get yourself back together.’ I appreciate him and its all love. It’s nothing but respect. I don’t think people in this city and everywhere give him enough credit for how smart he is, to be that young.”

S####-O also talked to AllHipHop.com about the work he’s been putting in since being released from prison for murder.

“Right Now I’ve got probably the hottest freestyle in the streets. ‘Pound Cake’ is like a brush fire, it’s going everywhere,” S####-O told AllHipHop.com. “I’m on a lot of Gillie’s stuff, the Four Horsemen [Chinko Da Great, Reed Dollaz, Kre Forch Hollowman]…anything you can think of coming out of Philly I’m on their project.”

“I’m working on my mixtape and its going to be a series of…songs based around my thoughts and ideals and things I’ve learned while in prison,” S####-O said. “You know the way prison changed me, essentially [making me] the man I am today.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Kanye West Squashes Kim Kardashian’s Plastic Surgery Dreams

Plastic surgery has allegedly played a major roll in Kim Kardashian’s famous figure but Kanye isn’t feeling anymore procedures for his baby mama. Kanye, after losing his mother in 2007 due to complications from liposuction and a breast reduction, is terrified of losing more loved ones and made it clear to Kim that she is not to get any cosmetic procedures.

The issue first came up for the couple when Kim was set to give birth to daughter North West, and planned to have a tummy tuck immediately afterwards, according to a source.

“Kim was certain that she wanted to have surgery after giving birth because she wanted a head start on losing her baby weight,” the source explains. But when West got wind of her plans, says the source, “He really flipped out.”

“Kanye told Kim in no uncertain terms that she needed to put her baby and her life first,” the source reveals. “He got pretty emotional because he really didn’t want her going through that kind of major surgery. He’s still traumatized from his mom’s death.”

Kanye is still traumatized by his mother’s passing and has become extremely protective of the people he loves. Word is that Kim is considering his position to not go through with any operations but we all know how important she feels it is to look good so it wouldn’t be surprising if she snuck and did it. She’s good for now though, surely we’ve all seen her latest Instagram flick, emphasizing her booty.

Lil Wayne Jumps Into The Watch Business With wize&ope Partnership

Kendall Jenner seems to be keeping up the Kardashian tradition of swirling. PEOPLE is saying that the 17-year-old has taken up with 21-year-old rapper Young Jinsu. They’ve allegedly been dating for a few months and have been getting a lot closer.

They’re keeping their relationship on the low because, well, she’s under age. However, they plan to go public after she turns 18 on November 3.

Yung Jinsu recently posted a photo on his Instagram of himself and a woman (it’s in shadow but the woman could possibly be Jenner) who is making a heart shape in the sky with her hands. Kendall’s sister Kylie, 16, also posted the pic to her Instagram (Celebrating her sister’s love, perhaps?).

Let’s just hope these two Jenner kids have more sense in love than their older sisters.

Master P’s Wife Files For Divorce, Wants Full Custody of 4 Minor Children

(AllHipHop News) Master P may have months of litigation ahead of him as Sonya Miller, his wife of 24 years, has reportedly filed for divorce.

According to TMZ, the pair have been separated for years and in 2011 were believed to have already been divorced when Department of Child Services ordered Master P to pay $1,084 per month in child support. The couple have four minor children with each other and an adult, rapper/actor Lil Romeo.

The official reason for the divorce is “irreconcilable differences” according to the report. Sonya is also requesting full custody of their four minor children.

Master P has been reportedly in a relationship with a new woman since April.

Ice T: I Dream About Being Shot And Killed Every Night

(AllHipHop News) Ice-T has been exposed to gang life since a teen, put the nation in a veritable conniption with his 1992 single “Cop Killer” and now is an actor on a television show centered around the most perverse crimes. That can lead one man to a bit of paranoia, which Ice T says has manifested in nightly dreams of him being murdered.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the 30 year rap legend spoke on how his nefarious past has led to the 55 year old actor to have a heightened level of paranoia:

If that door opened and I ask you, “Who’s coming through that door?,” somebody could say “My mother” or maybe “somebody from my past,” but I’d say, “Some dudes in ski masks.” I’ve been in heavy situations. When you lived it, you’re paranoid. I carried guns so much that I had a bruise on my leg for a year after I stopped.

Ice-T admitted that he believes his fame has intensified his paranoia and that “the most successful are the most paranoid.”

When the conversation moved to his feelings towards the current landscape of Hip Hop, Ice-T said he was “disillusioned with the hip-hop sound” and pointed out its hypocrisy but also championed a few of its shining stars:

If you track my movement, you’ll never see a picture of me with any girl that wasn’t mine, or my own car. My jewelry, my clothes. What kind of gangsta rapper has a stylist? A stylist?! So now that game? I gracefully bow out, but then you got beasts. You got Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick [Lamar], all these cats that can really spit.
