(AllHipHop News) Rapper Rick Ross personally flew out close to 100 different industry executives, DJ’s, artists and producers to celebrate his MMG weekend.
The first annual weekend showcased everything from Maybach’s music and new artists, to Rick Ross’ latest Wingstop location in Deerfield Beach.
“One time for Wingstop the #1 wing spot in the world,” Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com. “We did something for the community, came out, took a few pictures. Shout out to the team and everyone that put it together, everyone that held me down, everyone that repped me.
“I was supposed to do 30 minutes and I did an hour and 30 minutes,” the rapper continued. “I just wanted to take pictures with as many people as I could, you know alot of little kids came out and I love that.”
MMG artist Deuce Poppi was on hand to celebrate with Rick Ross. Deuce Poppi told AllHipHop.com that he was working on a brand new mixtape.
“Self Made 3 in stores, it just came out. I’m on track 6 [titled] ‘Stack On My Belt.’ Wale, Birdman, Rozay. Y’all gotta f**k with that joint man, video coming soon. MTV Jams. Slab McNab the mixtape coming soon.”

Pusha T Says Kendrick Lamar's "Control" Was Nothing New
(AllHipHop News) G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha T is on the verge of dropping his debut solo album My Name Is My Name next month, but before his new project lands this fall the Virginia native spoke with The L.A. Leakers about one of the most talked about moments of the summer.

Pusha was one of the rappers Kendrick Lamar mentioned he wants to “murder” lyrical during his verse on Big Sean’s “Control.” Pusha says he did not take it as a diss and believes that should be the mentality of every emcee. He cites his own rhymes on “Exodus 23:1,” “New God Flow,” and “So Appalled” as examples of times where he embraced the competitive nature of Hip Hop.
Pusha’s interpretation of Kendrick’s verse is a little different from another target named in the song. Drake recently told Hot 97’s Angie Martinez that he did not feel like Kendrick was being real by calling out his peers and then still trying to be friendly with them afterwards.
In the interview Drake said:
It’s like you can’t just say that and then see me and be like “Yeah man what’s up” pretending like nothing ever happened. To me that’s not the nature of battling, there’s passion behind it there’s anger behind it… I wouldn’t expect you to like throw all the relationships out the door for the sake of being like the talk of the internet for 10 days… I don’t know if it was worth it you know, because there’s a lot of people that were mentioned that I feel like can’t really go back and f**k with that guy after that.
Pusha T’s My Name Is My Name is scheduled for release on October 8th.

Black Thought Talks "Beefing" With Nas; Large Professor Calls Him "The Golden Child"
(AllHipHop News) After over a 20 year career in music, Nas has inspired, collaborated with, and beefed with some of the biggest names in Hip Hop, so there are sure to be many behind-the-scenes stories about the Queensbridge emcee floating in the ether.

Two Hip Hop veterans recently chatted with Combat Jack to share their past experiences with the creator of the classic album Illmatic. Large Professor told Jack that he considers Nas the “Golden Child” citing his lyrical ability as “out of the ordinary.” The Main Source founding member also discussed how he first connected with Esco and his determination to help him get recognition.
Black Thought’s story centered around his past issues with Nas over comments he made about The Roots’ appearance in Spike Lee’s film Bamboozled. According to Thought, Nas’ shots at The Roots for portraying a group called “The Alabama Porch Monkeys” were the result of Nas dealing with his mother’s battle with cancer. The situation was later settled at a Talib Kweli show.

Killer Mike & EL-P To Release New Version Of "Run The Jewels" Album
(AllHipHop News) The NYC/ATL duo known as Run The Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) are set to drop a new European version of their critically acclaimed self-titled album. The free collection, released through British indie label Big Dada, will include unreleased tracks and be available in Europe on both digital and vinyl platforms.

Big Dada released the following statement on their website:
We’re incredibly excited to be releasing Run The Jewels. El-P was one of the early inspirations behind Big Dada, and is one of the all-time great driving forces of forward-thinking rap music. His partnership with one of the most intelligent, fluent and ferocious MCs out there, Killer Mike, is hugely exciting and we think Run The Jewels is the rap record of 2013 and then some.

"Fruitvale Station" Star Michael B. Jordan Looked At For Role In "Independence Day" Sequel
(AllHipHop News) It’s been a breakthrough year for Michael B. Jordan. The former cast member of HBO’s The Wire and the lead actor in this year’s Fruitvale Station may become an even bigger star over the next two years. According to a report by The Wrap, Jordan is being considered for a part in the upcoming ID Forever Part I aka Independence Day 2.

An offer has not been given to the 26-year-old actor yet, but sources say 20th Century Fox and the movie’s director Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, White House Down) have Jordan high on their list of potential young stars for roles in the picture.
It has also been rumored that Jordan will star in Josh Trank’s reboot of The Fantastic Four as The Human Torch. He previously worked with Trank on the superhuman found-footage film Chronicle.
The next confirmed project for Jordan is 2014’s romantic comedy That Awkward Moment. He will also appear in the 7th Rocky movie Creed.
Both Independence Day 2 and the next installment of The Fanastic Four are scheduled for release in 2015. The final casting for ID4 2 is expected around the holidays. There is still no official word whether Will Smith will be returning for the sequel.

And in this sad display, some MOOP decides to become a super villian right down there on the Hollywood strip. Somehow or another, Hollywood Batman and this dude get into it. At first, it seems playful and then BOOM…its a fight. And Batman is on the wrong side of the pummeling. The dude relentlessly beats on Hollywood Batman. The cops don’t even come. I’m thinking that Batty needs to go back to Gotham where he’s safer!

Cancelled By The Bell: Rock The Bells Shows in D.C. and New York City Reportedly Cancelled
(AllHipHop News) Since 2004, Rock The Bells has become a staple and tradition in the Hip Hop culture. However, today (September 26th) reports arise alleging the Washington, D.C. and New Jersey shows for Rock The Bells have effectively been cancelled.
The Rock The Bells stop in D.C. was supposed to be held at RFK Stadium, however Chinyere Hubbard, the Vice President of Communications and Marketing for RFK’s operator Event DC confirmed with Washington City Paper that the event has been cancelled. The D.C. leg was supposed to occur this weekend (September 28th and 29th).
UPDATE: Guerilla Union released the official statement regarding the cancellation with Guerilla Union founder and owner Chad Weisberg speaking on the matter:
First and foremost, it is with great sadness and disappointment that we must cancel the Washington, DC and New York City Rock the Bells dates due to lack of ticket sales. I, along with our staff, the artists, and all of the sponsors, media partners, local promoters, and radio stations involved are thankful for our supporters and the fans that planned on attending. It’s extremely unfortunate that we can’t complete the last half of the 10th Anniversary Rock the Bells tour. We did everything in our power to save the show. Unfortunately, the financial loss would have been devastating. I am truly sorry we could not produce the show for all the fans who did buy their ticket in support of.
Full refunds will be honored at the location where fans purchased their tickets. More details can be found on the festival’s official website at www.rockthebells.net.
Yancey Boys To Drop "Sunset Blvd" LP Featuring Production By J. Dilla
(AllHipHop News) Illa J and Frank Nitt, collectively known as the Yancey Boys, will release their second album Sunset Blvd next month. The 14-track LP will include production created entirely by Illa J’s older brother, the late legendary producer J. Dilla.

Common, Talib Kweli, Posdnuos of De La Soul, T3, Guilty Simpson, J. Rocc, Dezi Page, and others will make guest appearances on the project. The instrumental beats of J. Dilla will also be included on digital, CD and vinyl formats.
“We created an album that would make Dilla proud. But this isn’t a nostalgia trip. Dilla’s beats were so future-forward that they’re right on time in 2013, and we’ve assembled the best artists possible to represent that,” states Frank Nitt.

Machine Gun Kelly Joins The Cast Of "Blackbird" Movie
(AllHipHop News) Bad Boy recording artist Machine Gun Kelly has been cast in the upcoming Relativity Media film Blackbird. MGK will play rapper Kid Culprit in the movie that also stars Minnie Driver, Danny Glover, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Nate Parker.

Blackbird follows the story of rising singer Noni Jean (Mbatha-Raw) as she attempts to adjust to the life of superstardom. She eventually falls for the young cop, Kaz Nicol (Parker), assigned to protect her. The two lovers pursue their relationship over the objections of their parents.
The movie is written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love & Basketball, The Secret Life of Bees) and will be produced by New York Knicks’ forward and Relativity Sports’ client Amar’e Stoudemire through his STATosphere Productions. Ryan Kavanaugh, Stephanie Allain, and Reggie Rock Bythewood will also serve as producers. Tucker Tooley and Matt Alvarez will executive produce.
R&B star Terius “The-Dream” Nash has also signed on to write and produce four original songs for the film.
Machine Gun Kelly released his Black Flag mixtape in June.

Aw shoooooot! I got an exclusive for you people in the place to be. I got word that there is a new reality show coming from Mona Scott Young. She’s the genius that has tapped into the ratchet lives of Hip-Hop’s men and women. But, she has apparently got a new angle. Seems like Mona has an unlikely reality show coming in the form of Hot 97! As we’ve seen….through the YEARS, there is a lot of drama up there at Hot 97, most recently the Mister Cee debacle. But, I have been informed that a lot of this stuff is now being filmed and turned into a reality show for the worlds biggest Hip-Hop and R&B station. Crazy!

On the other side of the coin, KDAY the original station for Hip-Hop out there in Cali is about to be shut down! Well, the Chinese investor is now pulling the plug and KDAY is looking for money to help itself out! I don’t know if they are going to be able to do it. They are talking about KDAY turning into a CHINESE radio station! They got HOOD WINKED!!!!!!

Fail of the Day: Man Steals Truck, Kidnaps Woman While Reenacting 'GTA'
People are so busy worrying about the effects that violent video games have on children that they forget about the stupid a### adults who are just as impressionable.
Zachary Burgess, 20, decided that playing Grand Theft Auto on his game console wasn’t enough, so he decided to take it to the streets. He stole a pickup truck, kidnapped a woman and crashed nine parked cars because he wanted to feel more like that character, reports WDSU-TV.
Burgess, a lacrosse player at Auburn University, embarked on his crime spree Saturday morning in Baton Rouge, La. It started in the parking lot of a bar where Burgess was present. The owner of a truck got out and left it running with a female passenger inside. Burgess got in the vehicle and attempted to leave the parking lot but not before crashing into several cars that were blocking his path. He abandoned the car a few yards from the crime scene. A group of witnesses held him until officers arrived.
When policed questioned him he told them that he wanted to see what it was like to be a character from Grand Theft Auto. Burgess was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, nine counts of hit and run and simple kidnapping.
He was released Sunday after posting $80,000 bond. So, he paid $80,000 for bond and now faces charges versus just keeping his butt home and playing his $300 PlayStation. Alrighty then.
Marvin Gaye's Son Publicly Asks For Kidney Transplant
(AllHipHop News) Marvin Gaye III is not just fighting Robin Thicke, Pharrell and T.I. over “Blurred Lines” but is fighting for his life. According to The Associated Press, the son of the late soul legend suffers from kidney failure and is looking for a kidney transplant.
According to Gaye III, he has received dialysis for renal failure for over three years and is publicly asking for help to bring attention to Black and Hispanic’s difficulty in finding organ donors.
Gaye III plans to donate proceeds from his upcoming album to a kidney research organization.
Recently, Marvin Gaye III spoke out about how “shameful” an upcoming indie biopic about Marvin Gaye entitled Sexual Healing was for “trying to do a film about the low period in his life.” His remarks reportedly led to Lenny Kravitz to dropping out of the role as Marvin Gaye.
A trailer for the movie featuring former Law & Order star Jesse L Martin as Marvin Gaye was released online earlier this week but was removed by Arrow Entertainment, one of the company’s presenting the film.
