Game Promotes Petition Calling For G-Unit Reunion

(AllHipHop News)  Game and his camp have been hinting that he would be open to a G-unit reunion for some time. First, Game said so himself on his track “Scared Now” off 2012’s Jesus Piece. His manager, Dontay “Taydoe” Kidd, told the Wall Street Journal that he has been attempting “to make [a reunion] happen.” Now, the rapper and reality tv star is trying a new approach.

The Compton emcee used his Facebook page to promote a new website, gunitreunion.com, which allows fans of the rap collective to sign a petition asking that Game, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck put aside their differences and comeback together for another project.

“It’s about time we gave the world what they want, a ‘Reunion’, there is no doubt that if the group reformed they would smash their way to the top again,” states a message on the website.

The site has already gained over 5,000 signatures, and while fans seem to want to see a comeback, other former members of G-Unit haven’t sounded to optimistic about the idea in recent interviews.

Yayo spoke with MTV news telling them he’d be interested in a 3-man G-unit returning, “I would love to see a G-Unit reunion. I would love to see me, Banks and 50 definitely onstage.”

When it comes to working with Game again, Yayo wasn’t as open-minded. “My problem with [Game] is that once he got to the point where he wanted to be, where he sells 5 million records, it was ‘G-Unot.’ So like why would you want a reunion now if you want to be the guy to try to bring down the brand and the name?”

Last week G-Unit leader 50 Cent  seemed to put an end to any type of reunion ever taking place when he addressed the possibility with Ear Candy Mornings on Sirius Hip-Hop Nation. When asked if a reunion will happen, 50 responded, “probably not.”

He then added, “I don’t care what other people want. I give a f### what they want. A reunion? You can kiss my m############ ass as far as that’s concerned.”

Vado Inks Deal With DJ Khaled's We The Best; Talks Supergroup With Fabolous, Juelz And Lloyd Banks

(AllHipHop News) Harlem native Vado has officially become the newest addition to DJ Khaled’s We the Best imprint, which is housed under Cash Money and distributed by Def Jam Recordings/Universal Motown.

Vado, who recently parted ways with former label Interscope, joins fellow artists Ace Hood, Mavado and Yung $avage under Khaled’s label.

“[DJ Khaled] is family,” Vado told ThisIs50‘s Jack Thriller. “Of course we got the same vision and that’s the takeover and going straight to the top and staying there.”

Most recently Vado released Slime Flu 3, a 17-track mixtape featuring the likes of Fred the Godson, Jae Millz, Gunplay and J.R. Writer, that has been downloaded from DatPiff over 100,000 times in the past eight days.

In addition to announcement about his new home, Vado spoke on a supergroup he may or may not be forming with fellow New York staples Lloyd Banks, Juelz Santana and Fabolous.”They’re my brothers for real,” he told ThisIs50.

“They show love and for them to be from New York and respect and show love to another lyricist…and not look at me as the challenger or whatever, it’s all love and we’re like brothers and so we was talking about it like ‘let’s be a supergroup and just smash it!’

When further pressed about the reality of the four emcees joining up, Vado said, “It could definitely happen but me personally I gotta come up and stand right next to them. They all got their weight up.”

He continued, “They’re all platinum artists and I didn’t even get my feet wet yet. I don’t really belong in that group to keep it 100% as far as my status, I’m not talking about my talent.

On To The Next One: Roc Nation adds Timbaland To Roster

(AllHipHop News) The latest collaboration between Hip Hop Mount Rushmore-bound Timbaland and Jay-Z involves no synths, no double metaphors or reminders.

Just a photo posted on Jay-Z’s Life+Times website with a simple yet impactful message:

Roc Nation Welcomes Timbaland to the family.

There is no word yet on the details of their arrangement such as if Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group (MMG before MMG) will be migrating as well in a sort of joint venture.

Timbaland is the latest addition to a roster that has more members than album releases.

Since its 2008 inception, Roc Nation has only released seven albums and have had release date complications with both J. Cole’s debut LP and upcoming sophomore album and have suppressed Jay Electronica’s completed album into urban myth.

Timbaland has already been heavily involved in Justin Timberlake’s third solo album 20/20 and produced Timberlake’s history-making first single “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z.

All Hail The Caine: Track-By-Track Review of Pusha T's 'Wrath of Caine'

Understatement of the Year Warning: Fans have been waiting over a year for Pusha T’s follow-up to the well-received Fear of God  and Fear of God II: Let Us Pray. His latest mixtape, Wrath of Caine arrived hours late and that was enough to make folks on Twitter go mad. Finally, after all the anticipation, AllHipHop is here to offer a breakdown of his latest opus.

Intro [P###. Dready]

“You laptop hot, just internet warm/download for download, don’t get caught up in my storm”

A frenzy of synths dance around and snapping hi hats with a menacing organ as Pusha T rattles off venemous bars on everything from drug talk to loose mothers steering daughters wrong. Oh and he said “I’mma lean until I’m the king of New Orleans“. YUUUCK!

Millions  [P### Southside, co-Produced by Kanye West]

“This that s### that y’all wanted/This s### cook up hard don’t it/y’all gotta beg my pardon on it/But this sh*t sound like God, don’t it?

Pusha T’s fixation with God metaphors continues with  the collaboration with an MC who made sure we understood he didn’t forgive even though God does. Very forgettable Rick Ross verse not ripe with his drug witty humor or visceral imagery that made songs like “I’m Not A Star” and  “Yellow Diamonds” addictive. The chorus will break a few necks.

Doesn’t Matter [P###. Renegades]

“Since y’all claim I’m Illuminati, tell me why would you try me/Kennedy/John F or Bobby/Almost caught Reagan too but they stopped us in the lobby/And that was broad day so how the f### you going to stop me”

Syrupy French Montana glides in out of beat pockets awkwardly in his usual drugged flow. The subdued beat contrasts Pusha’s brash delivery nicely leaving open space for his words to shine through.

Blocka [P###. Young Chop]

“Teamwork make the dream work/All my n*ggas done seen work/All my n*ggas ain’t make it through/So much death that my dreams hurt.”

Newest hip hop producer sensation, Young Chop laces the black Ric Flair with the minimalist heat rock for Pusha to speak his ghetto gospel. Pusha sounds extra hungry on this song (He doesn’t have to sell…ok?!) and the reggae influence on the chorus (which interestingly permeates the majority of this tape) creates a banger.

Road Runner feat./ Troy Ave [P###. Harry Fraud]

“Snub 38 with the Mac black trigger/When “how can I be down?” was filled with crack n*ggas”

Nothing against Troy Ave but his gravely voice does not help harmonizing on this chorus and actually made me think “French Montana should be on this.” Short song, not much but a few slick street talk and typical recounting.

Revolution  [P###. The Neptunes]

“I was lost, I was jaded/Malice found his way to our Savior.

Light keys tip-toe around a bare Neptunes beat until the blaring horns and light whirling strings.  Pusha gives his a rather impressively succinct analysis of his career in the music business (business partner indicted for drugs, Malice finding God, So Appalled) and This just further proves that the majority of Pusha T songs should be handled by The Neptunes.

Only You Can Tell It feat./ Wale [P###. Boogz-N-Tape]

“We aint hating, cause we aint y’all/Too much Ciroc(C. Rock) you seen be fore(CB4)”-Wale

After an onslaught of seemingly irreprehensible drug tales throughout this tape finally finds a sort of conscience.  Pusha takes his time to give the human context of “these drug dealing Picasso’s.” Wale playfully contorts his flow around a bouncy Boogz-N-Tape beat.

Trust You [P###. SK & Arthur McArthur]

“I’m good money, got you talking in dollar signs/it’s all good that she the top b*tch, but she just want to know the bottom line.”

Play this. Close you eyes. Watch a strip club appear in your mind. While Future was caught up in a real-life Maury episode, Pusha enlists Kevin Giles for a more than serviceable replacement. Pusha attempts to relinquish his abrasive flow for a more seductive tone as he talks to his stripper love interest, but it comes off as odd aggressive flirting.

Take My Life [P###. Jake-One]

“It aint enough that I struggled through my career/Less appreciated when I was apart of a pair.”

With a simple trumpet, 808s and with a reggae-infused chorus, Pusha Ton waxes poetics about the haters(local n*ggas and the law) trying to alter the life he’s established, no matter how detrimental it can be. Jake One production has been unf*ckwittable for quite some time and Pusha does this joint justice.

Liva- Re Up Gang Motivation [P###. !llmind]

“Polaroids being shown in every jail, every tier/Representing, all my n##### known I share..from the heart.”-Liva

Re-Up Gang veteran Liva (Formerly known as Ab-Liva) loses all parts of his mind on this hard-hitting !llmind production. Even his most simplest lyrics (“I am Heath Ledger Joker to you jokers”) comes off with enough conviction to bring this song to life. Great choice by Pusha T to let his Liva let loose.

I Am Forgiven [P###. B!nk]

“I asked forgiveness Lord/in hopes of getting more/Then beg forgiveness for the same thing he forgave me for.”

Hall of famer producer, B!nk laces Pusha T with an head-bop inducing  with cymbal crashes, tight drums and a hypnotic vocal sample. Pusha’s greatest skill is how conversational he can make his internal battles with the life he’s chosen, his past and the Man upstairs.

Overall, Pusha T sums up the feel of this tape with one sentence found at the end of “I Am Forgiven”: “this is just an appetizer.” Wrath of Caine is plagued with repetitive subject matter and some questionable length choice, but Pusha’s sheer charisma saves alot of those from a Recycle Bin fate. The bars are still there and potent as they have ever been in his 10 year+ career. If this is a precursor to his major label full length debut, My Name Is My Name then that album could potentially be the monster this mixtape scratches the surface of.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Nicki Minaj's Man Safaree Is A Rapper Now! Chris Brown Is Gay?

Every now and then I read the comments on the site. And all I have to say is: Ya’ll Crazy.

Moving on to some rumors.

You know this dude?

Yeah? No? Now, do you know him?

Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels - 911 Call Audio

This dude is Safaree Samuels aka Nicki Minaj’s boo. I am not exactly sure what he does, but he’s doing well. He’s definitely down with the winning team, but I am hearing he wants to contribute more. How? I’m being told that he’s about to make a major push into the game as a rapper of his own. Not sure what he’s coming with, but I am hearing he won’t be using Nicki as a crutch to get attention. He’s already got that.

I did a quick search and see he did this remix of Nicki’s singing song “Save Me.”

I’m not sure what I just heard, but the person on that song is doing reggae. She may have wanted get Snoop Lion.

SON…

You ever heard the phrase, “It takes one to know one?”

Well Frank Ocean used that on Chris Brown. Apparently, CB tried to belittle Frank Ocean by calling him the f-word and Frank said “You are too.” And that hurt. But, these rumors are not new. A few years go, they were saying that CB beat Rihanna down, because she found some gay pics in his phone and he proceeded to get mad. The rest is history. But, more recently, Chris has been dogged by rumors that he had a relationship with an R&B singer named Martyn, somebody I never heard of until today. Apparently, they were DM’ing a lot and it leaked.

So, Frank Ocean and CB should be more cool than punching each other. They are brothers!

Damn you internet, DAMN YOU!
