 KANYE COMING IN SEPTEMBER?

I saw this lil rumor on the interwebs over the weekend. Thought it was interesting, but not good enough to interrupt my day off. Anyway….here is the latest about Kanye West. Dude has been super quiet. Somebody at HHU went to some event out in California and they said that Kanye is on the release schedule for September 2010. Kanye is a 4th quarter beast so I think it will come out somewhere in that time. Who knows?

 Oh yeah…pause!

WHOA – HOLD UP…MORE ON THE LEBRON RUMOR!

 Wait a second here.

So, I have been waiting for some time now to wait for the denial of the rumor of the weekend. Yes, the rumor that Delonte West and Lebron’s mother have a thing going on. But, the weekend came and left and there was no statement, no denial and no comment. And then I got additional “information” from one of my sources. Dude said this IS TRUE. And, people in those circles have known it for some time. They simply didn’t include LeBron in on it so it wouldn’t upset him. Some people are saying this, even though we don’t know for certain. Sheeeesh…where is the statement…lets end this fiasco!  If Gloria James messed around with Delonte West, Cleveland could be the biggest loser.

LATIFAH AND HER POTNA GET A HOUSE?

I don’t know what the deal is here, but rumors are saying that Latifah and her trainer are getting a home together out in Hollywood.  Both names are on the deed of the house. Well?

 FOXY AND EVE TOURING TOGETHER?

 Lookie here:

Street Cred Tour featuring Eve & Foxy Brown

Fox Theatre Detroit

Detroit, MI

Sat, May 22, 2010 08:00

Dammnnnn! These gals have apparently banned together to get that paper! But it would appear that Lil Kim wasn’t down. Kim was supposed to be on the bill and bailed a mere 8 days before the event. I think Kim and Eve were last minute replacements. I think they all need to tour as a unit.

 JUELZ ALMOST DIDN’T DO IT!!!!

Peep what Angie Ma got out of Juelz Santana!

“Cam and Jim have definitely spoke, me and Jim have talked about putting everything together and putting the past behind us.  At the end of the day, I’m willing to be a big person and put whatever I got to put to the side and if the fans want an album, we can do that.”

Juelz wasn’t with it from what I understand. He really feels like Cam wronged him severely from what I heard. In the interview, he claimed Cam “took advantage” of him. Hmmm…well, who cares. Just reunite and get it cracking!

 ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

Rumor has it Toya got a boob job.

Did Kat Stacks get into a huge fight in Miami? That’s what I heard. I’m just sayin…

 Remember Haiti!

Snoop and Lindsay Lohen have a song together and its coming out soon for her singing debut.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END

What is the world coming to? The world is crumbling. Damn these cops!!!!!  A 7-year-old Detroit girl was killed in her SLEEP on Sunday after a police officiers gun discharged hitting her while she was on the couch. The girl was hit in the neck by a rogue bullet that killed her as she arrived to the hospital. The killer officer is on PAID leave as the cops cover up, I mean, investigate the facts. The cops broke into a house looking for the suspect. They used a “flash bang” bomb to startle the occupants. The grandmother was startled and started to tussle with the cop and then the gun went off. They came in with the gun drawn, people. And just like that…a 7 year old is gone. The cops did find the suspect they were looking for.

  Damn shame.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END

A rapper named Yung Hott was shot and killed as he filed a video shoot. Here is is rappin’ in action.

Juelz Santana Ready for Dipset Reunion

Juelz Santana has announced his support for a potential Diplomats reunion with former group members Jim Jones and Cam’Ron.

In 2007, Dipset disintegrated amid disputes over money and creative differences. The rumored tensions culminated in a public split when Jones and Santana sided with 50 Cent during his battle with Dipset leader Cam’Ron

Last month, Jones and Cam’Ron revealed that they mended their differences in a 3-way phone call with media personality Miss Info, and promised to work together this year on Diplomatic Immunity 3. The talk marked the first conversation between the former best friends in 3 years.

In 2009, Juelz Santana criticized Cam’Ron for denying several song clearances while he was under contract, which Santana believed stalled his career. But the Skull Gang leader is willing to dismiss past grievances and welcomed calls for an official reunion.

“Me and Jim have talked about putting the past and everything behind us. I never had no reason to have personal grudges,” he told Hot 97’s Angie Martinez. “I was always willing to move forward. I just have to worry about my future now.”

Santana clarified that he is still grateful to Cam’Ron for the initial opportunity he received, and believes they can all come back to the table as established, wiser artists.

“I respect the fact he extended that arm and that’s something I can never take back,” he explained. “The blueprint was drawn up and Cam definitely drew it. But I laid down bricks on top of bricks to help that building be what it was…But we’re all bosses now. I’m all grown up now and I’ve always respected other people’s positions.”

Juelz Santana will perform at Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2010 on June 6. At press time, Santana would not commit to a Dipset reunion at the event.

Bethel Univ. Students Protest After Lil Wayne Blackface Skit

(AllHipHop News) Despite an apology issued by a Bethel University student for impersonating rapper Lil Wayne in blackface, students at the school voiced their displeasure over what they deemed as an offensive performance during a recent event. On Friday (May 14), students held a demonstration on campus while offering a list of demands to address racial issues at Bethel. The protest came two weeks after five students performed a skit at the school’s annual Mr. BU fundraiser for the student group Acting on AIDS.During the event, the students performed several songs in the skit. The student impersonating Lil Wayne stood with his back to the audience until the final tune, a Lil Wayne song he lip-synched. The senior, whose costume included dreadlocks, gold teeth and baggy pants, turned around to reveal his face, which was painted black.   The controversial performance, which took place May 1, immediately ignited a firestorm of criticism on the Bethel campus from minority students. Although the university followed it’s racial response protocol after hearing how students were offended by the skit, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that those attending the Friday’s protest were not happy with Bethel’s response.Among the demands delivered at the demonstration were the reinstitution of the university’s intercultural staff position which had been eliminated as well as more diversity training for faculty and students that would include a required course for incoming freshmen. In addition to the protest, the controversial skit has resulted in renewed discussion on race relations on campus as well as the launch of an investigation in light of Bethel treating the performance as a bias incident. While a spokeswoman for the school cited student privacy law as her reason for not commenting specifically on the case, she revealed to the Tribune that the Bethel student handbook outlines possible penalties for such incidents that include a behavioral warning, suspension from co-curricular activities and reconciliation. The Mr. BU performance isn’t the first blackface-related incident to happen on a Minnesota school campus. In 2007, Macalester College student was censured for attending a campus house party wearing blackface and a noose around his neck while being accompanied by a student dressed as a Ku Klux Klan member. That same year, six Hamline University football players were suspended from their team for wearing blackface and body paint to impersonate African tribesmen for an off-campus Halloween party. In response to the backlash over their performance, the five students sent an e-mail to faculty and undergraduates addressing the controversy. In the message, the group said that they had not intended to offend or hurt anyone with their impersonation of Lil Wayne.”However, we realize our skit was offensive and hurtful,” the e-mail continued. “We are saddened by the fact that we caused pain and offense to our brothers and sisters.”The this time, Bethel adninistrators are not commening on specific disciplinary action that will be taken against the students involved in the case despite efforts to resolve the situation.

Knockout Nation: Khan Breaks Down Malignaggi, Ortiz Outboxes Campbell, Hopkins Wants Calzaghe and Bute, Mayweather-Pacquiao Update

Malignaggi Has No Answers for Khan

Before his hometown NYC crowd last night (May 15), Paulie Malignaggi (27-4, 5 KOs) was thoroughly beaten by a well prepared Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KOs), who took out his Brooklyn foe with a dominant 11th round TKO.

From the outset, Malignaggi had no answers for Khan’s superior speed and power. Amir was able to consistently get off first with his stiff jab, and even at times with lead left hooks and straight rights.

By the 4th round, Khan was also making Malignaggi pay for trying to come inside, clipping him with a head-turning right uppercut. In the following round, Paulie’s offense was hampered further by Khan’s longer reach, and the Brooklynite was punished with multiple flush right and left hooks to the face.

The 8th and 9th rounds were complete whitewashes for Amir Khan. In the former round, the UK fighter began attacking more with impunity, as the light-hitting Malignaggi (5 KOs in his career) could do nothing to keep his opponent off him. Khan could not miss Malignaggi’s head with any of his shots, finding a home for the jab, left uppercut, and hooks with both hands. In the latter stanza, Paulie continued to get busted up with stiff left jabs and hooks, and the Magic Man’s face was swollen all over with a mouse under the left eye.

Following another brutal 10th round, referee Steve Smoger asked Malignaggi if he wanted to come out for another round. Despite Paulie’s affirmations, Smoger refused to let the bout continue until the ringside physician had a thorough review. Once completed, Malignaggi was advised he had one more round to make a stand.

With no power to turn the tide, Paulie Malignaggi absorbed more hooks as he tried to land a desperate home run shot. A Khan left hook caused him to careen into the ropes, and Smoger stopped the bout as Malignaggi feebly threw weak punches in retaliation.

The 11th round TKO made Amir Khan’s U.S. debut a successful coming out party, and now Golden Boy’s most promising young star turned his attention to his remaining division rivals.

“A lot of people put the pressure on me to fight Maidana. I’ll fight Maidana next,” Khan told HBO’s Max Kellerman. “Let Bradley fight Alexander, and the winner of that fight face me in the finals…let’s do it! I will not leave 140 until I’ve unified the titles.”

In spite of all his prefight trash talk, Paulie Malignaggi made no excuses for his loss and gave Khan full credit.

“Amir just fought a really good fight. [He gave] lots of angles, kept changing distance, that was the plan for me [but] Amir was quicker,” Malignaggi admitted. “Amir’s younger, he had that youthful enthusiasm and I give him a lot of credit.”

On the undercard, Victor Ortiz kept his poise for 10 rounds and was able to easily outbox a now slower and fading Nate Campbell.

At 38 years old, Campbell was unable to chase down Ortiz, who circled for the majority of the bout and countered Campbell with hard straight lefts and flurries. Scorecards for the bout read 100-89 twice, and 99-90.

HBO did much to sell the junior welterweight division, doing a video package focusing on its talented young guns Timothy Bradley, Devon Alexander, and Marcos Maidana. In addition, the network covered the division’s other top fighters in Juan Manuel Marquez, Juan Diaz, Ricky Hatton, and Andriy Kotelnik. From commentator Max Kellerman’s own mouth, HBO looks to be putting their hopes on this division to carry their boxing coverage before and following Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Bernard Hopkins Looking for Another Match

Following the abysmal April PPV encounter that was Hopkins-Jones, there was no one clamoring to see Bernard Hopkins in the ring ever again. Even Golden Boy CEO Richard Shaefer told the press he’d like to see the Executioner hang it up. But Hopkins is ignoring these retirement suggestions, and is reportedly seeking bouts with Lucian Bute or Joe Calzaghe.

Last month, Bute destroyed Edison Miranda with a 3rd round TKO. Many consider Bute the top super-middleweight in the world despite the ongoing Super Six tournament. Joe Calzaghe beat Bernard Hopkins via controversial split decision in 2008. Calzaghe announced his retirement that year after beating Roy Jones and hasn’t fought since.

Hopkins was in attendance last night but did not disclose whether serious talks have begun for either proposed fight.

Calzaghe was in the States for Mayweather-Mosley, and in remarkably good shape for someone 2 years into retirement, which fueled speculation he was considering a comeback bout.

If the Welshman does come back, more than likely it would be for the Super Six winner or Bute. Calzaghe was adamant following the Hopkins bout that he would never fight Bernard again. And fans were not demanding a rematch either of the foul-filled bout.

On the other hand, Bute may fancy the Hopkins showdown since his biggest super-middleweight opponents are tied up with the Super Six for the next year. The big question would be the weight, as Hopkins has been campaigning in recent years at light-heavyweight.

Until someone decisively beats him, Bernard Hopkins looks like he won’t even consider retirement.

Mayweather-Pacquiao Reps Hope to Prevent Previous Media Fiasco

Many fans and media still have a bitter taste in their mouths after the most anticipated fight in boxing history fell through in February over disagreements on Olympic style drug testing.

Following dominant victories for Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather in their last fights, both camps have begun quiet preliminary talks to resurrect the fight.

Bob Arum recently spoke to ESPN and advised that both sides have vowed to iron out their differences behind closed doors without regular media updates. Last time, Arum was one of the main culprits of “media negotiation,” and regularly disparaged Mayweather’s camp during the process, and later with the last-ditch third-party mediation.

Skepticism aside, I believe both parties have come to grips that no other opponent is acceptable besides each other. Between them, Pacquiao and Mayweather have eliminated the other top welterweights (Mosley, Clottey, Cotto) between them, and proved that they are far more talented than anyone else in the division. Now is the time to see who the best fighter in the world is.

While it’s still early, expect this one to end up in Las Vegas with a 50-50 purse split, and Mayweather getting the Olympic style testing, but with some provision that stops it at least 10-14 days before the fight.

At press time, the fight is targeted for November.

Rapper X-Raided Stabbed 7 Times In Prison Riot Over Rap Album

(AllHipHop News) Sacramento rapper X-Raided was stabbed during a prison riot at Pleasant Valley State Prison, sources told AllHipHop.com.A group of inmates affiliated with the gang The Northern Riders were responsible for the attack on the rapper, because he refused to produce their album. The result was a full-blown riot when three African-American inmates attempted to assist X-Raided, who fought his three assailants.”These guys are essentially a Protective Custody gang. They’re a group of guys who were kicked off of the mainline by the Norte who came together on a sensitive needs yard and made up a new PC gang,” a source close to X-Raided told AllHipHop.com. “It’s ridiculous. They ran away from the mainline only to get to an SNY facility and form a new so-called gang.”Information on the inmates were scant, although the inmates responsible for the attack were identified as convicts: R. Werth, Gonzales, and Lawson.X-Raided, born Aneraé Brown , was attacked by Werth who used a state toothbrush with eight razor blades taped and tied to it.Gonzales used a knife made from a piece of metal removed from the prison’s baseball facilities equipment. The attackers stabbed X-Raided seven times, before a dozen officers were called in to regain control.X-Raided fought off all three attackers and then stood up and crip walked, according to sources. The rapper was then airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California. The attack on X-Raided’s was an extortion attempt, a source stated.”They wanted him to produce and release their rap album,” a source said. “We’re talking about inmates serving Life without the possibility of parole (Werth and Gonzales) wanting to be rap stars, and feeling so rejected to the point of wanting to kill him in an attempt to gain some fame. It’s absurd.  Our client shouldn’t be facing threats of death on any Special Needs Yard, especially from a bunch of cowards who ran away from the mainline to escape from the Norte, only to clique up on any SNY facility. If they wanted to be tough guys they should have stayed on the mainline.”All three inmates have been charges with attempted murder.X-Raided is currently serving 31 years in prison for taking part in a deadly gang related shooting in 1992 that left one woman dead. He’s in the SNY facility because of his notoriety. He has managed to release at least 13 albums since his incarceration.X-Raided is fine and has recovered from the attack.

Dr. Dre feat Snoop Dogg [Detox “Leak”]

This has to be a leaked record, but since fans are dying to hear some Detox, the security dam at Aftermath sprouted out “Flashy.” The song features Dr. Dre and Snoop reunited like back in the Death Row days. The full story on it has yet to be revealed, but check it out.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Rumors About LeBron’s Mom? Kat Stacks’ Mom Speaks!

DISCLAIMER:

All content within this section is pure rumor and generally have no factual info outside of what the streets have whispered in our ear. Read on.

LEBRON’S MOTHER? WHAT? THE?

People are trying to figure ou why Lebron James was unable to lead the Cavs to a championship this year.  A new rumor claims to explain. This is bizarre to say the least. There are strange rumors saying that Delonte West has been sleeping with Lebron’s Mom and Lebron found out before Game 4 of the playoffs.  This caused him to be totally off for the play offs and preoccupied with the matter, throwing both him and the team off. All his originates with a person named Terez Owens.

A number of sources – mostly unofficial – are already denouncing this rumor, saying the creator of it must be insane. Others are saying its merely people looking for a nice way to explain why Bron Bron didn’t quite live up to his MVP status. It looks like LeBron is going to stay in Cleveland too, but NYC seems to offer the most out-of-league money potential.

Jay talks LeBron (Source: -The Stephen A. Smith

Show, Fox Radio):

For kicks…Here is LeBron dunking on Delonte West, which he was with the Celts.

LIL WAYNE LOOKING AT MORE TIME

I think they are going to go easy on the lil guy. MTV is reporting that Wayne is at the mercy of “The Man” in this case though.

“You just get an infraction, a violation. You lose some ‘good time.’ … It depends on the severity of the infraction. Level one is the worst. Then you have [level] two or three. [This infraction] could be a level one. Wayne has to go on trial, and based on evidence, they’ll make their determination.”

KAT STACKS, MOMMA STACKS, THE TREE AND A FALLING APPLE

Oh Voy!

MATT STACKS, KATS’ MALE ROOMIE STEPS UP!

He put Kat in the Yolk!

EPIC FAIL…LOL!

This is wild. Look at this DJ. LOL! This is a wedding and dude likes playing the drums. But look a the drums he’s banging on…at a wedding.

Riz (blog): A Quick Convo With Drake

What’s going on world, this past week has been a week full

of deep thought and reflection. Sometimes we get caught up in the hustle and

bustle of everyday life, and at times we forget the things that have true

value, like life itself and family. In saying this I had to take time to think

of my direction in this music industry after having a conversation with Zach

Katz a mentor of mines. I came to the conclusion that in order for me to be

passionate about making music I have to do and say the things that represent

who I am as an individual, not only as a artist or entertainer. I’m entering a

new phase of individuality that I’m sure people will be able to appreciate. It

doesn’t even feel real that I’m blogging on AllHipHop.com LOL i was just

reading other artist blogs, but I guess what they say is true everybody gets

their time and right now Im getting mines, nothing happens overnight it takes

discipline and dedication and i’ve been both for a very longtime. Everyday is a

period of growth for me i’m always willing to listen and learn from people who

have a broader insight because they’ve done and seen way more than I could ever

imagine. being humble is the only way to be which is why I have to take my hat

off to the Homie DRAKE, Over a plate of filet mignon and asparagus at STK

restaurant in NYC I asked him did he ever think things would be the way they

are for him? and humbly he responded he knew where it could go but he didn’t

see it coming the way it did. In saying that there isnt nothing wrong with

thinking BIG and trying to achieve your goals even when the odds seem to be

against you.

Until next week….late!

BREEDING GROUND Spotlight: KC Gift

NO TIME BETTER THAN THE PRESENT….

Just like the title of his upcoming debut CD, it was Hard

in the Streets for this Kansas City, MO

native. Life wasn’t neatly bundled and packaged for KC Gift. Growing up was a

struggle, juggling the hustle with the responsibilities of life in a

dysfunctional family. It was a world where Dad was drug dependent and it was up

to Mom to hold the household together. A life where petty crime led to juvenile

detention and probation and the gift and the curse of teenage parenthood, but

also a life that blessed KC with the gift of the talent for Rap. Now KC Gift is

ready to present his works to the world…

AllHipHop.com: How did you get your name?

KC Gift:  I was just rapping and people said I had a talent, so I

started going by the name of Gift but it’s another guy using the name The Gyft,

but I spell mine G-I-F-T. Nobody ever really made it from my city, Kansas City,

so they put KC in front of it, just representing Kansas City at the same time.

AllHipHop.com: Who are some of your influences?

KC Gift: Tupac. That’s my favorite rapper ever.  I like Jay-Z, Nas. I like Lil’ Wayne, I

like Drake. I like Kanye West too.

AllHipHop.com: What would you say is your lane when it comes to rhyming

styles?

KC Gift: I would say I would run in my own lane, but you can put me

in there with like Kanye West, Young Jeezy, T.I.…I’m from the mid-west, so we

listen to everything. We listen to Down South, we listen to West Coast, we

listen to East Coast, so I would say that I’m just like the perfect blend of

every coast.

AllHipHop.com: What are your some of your favorites of your own songs?

KC Gift: I like “I’m On One,” because I feel like when I wrote that

song, when I say I’m on one, it just means I’m not stopping ‘til I get to my

goal. I’m not letting any negativity or anything stop me, I’m just on one. I’m on

my path to get to where I’m going. I like “Cameraman” because I feel like

that’s my alter-ego. I’m real humble. But on the microphone, you can’t be

humble, so that would be “Cameraman.” And then I like “Superstar With Scars”

because I feel I’ve been through a lot of stuff. “Hard in the Streets” because

it’s real hard out here for everybody right now.

AllHipHop.com: Lastly, what does it mean to you to be Kansas City’s gift?

KC Gift: I got the responsibility of holding my whole city down and

still being positive at the same time. Can’t really do too much negativity or

none of that. Just representing for Kansas City.CLEAN: KC Gift ft. Stevie Diamond – Hey Lil’ Mama / She Wanna Get Rich from The Ghettonerd Company, LLC on Vimeo.
