VIDEO: Waka Flocka’s Mom Responds To Reports Of Gucci Mane Beef

(AllHipHop News) Waka Flocka Flames’ mother Debra Antney of Mizay Entertainment has responded to a recent Vibe article, in which her son claims he and longtime affiliate Gucci Mane were no longer speaking. In the latest issue of Vibe, Waka Flocka is quoted as saying he and Gucci no longer speak after Gucci Mane parted ways with Antney and Mizay Ent. "Yeah, all the way … All the way," Waka is quoted as saying in reference to his relationship with Gucci Mane. "I ain’t got beef or anything but it has changed…there is [no relationship]. We don’t talk anymore," Waka said. Debra Antney commented on the situation in an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com."This is what I have to say to Vibe magazine. I am really kind of p##### off at you, for twisting the words up of Waka of  the stuff he said," Debra Antney told AllHipHop.com. "Like he [Waka] don’t mess with Gucci, no he hasn’t spoken to him in a minute. Y’all stop using the s**t of what happened, like Gucci fired me. "Echoing Waka Flocka in the Vibe article, Debra Antney clarified that she had no beef with former client Nicki Minaj.According to Antney, their amicable parting of ways occurred because it was time for both artists to move to the next phase of their careers. "Things change, people went their separate ways and moved on. That doesn’t’ mean you got a g###### beef," Antney fumed to AllHipHop.com. "Everybody’s cool and alright. I think people need to get their s**t straight. People don’t have anything better to do than run around with this negative s**t, then all you little a**holes get together and join in, like y’all know so much."As for Mizay Entertainment, the company is hard at work overseeing Waka Flocka Flames’ debut album Flocaveli, in addition to working with a crop of new acts, including Cartier, Muffy, Slim Duncan, Woo the Kid, Frenchie, French Montana, Cartel, Sugar Shane, DJ Speedy and others.

Look Mom, No Hands! – Kinect Gaming Review

Christmas in July is behind us, but in little over five months, last minute of course, you’ll be running frantically to buy gifts for your loved ones. So why not get a heads up on what’s to come this holiday season… Over the past few years, video games have blown wide open in demographic expansion. We’re waving our Nintendo Wii remotes like light sabers, commuting commands of modern warfare through high-tech headphones on XBOX 360, exploring moving levels while fighting enemies a million times our size on Playstation 3, downloading 40+ hours of gameplay high quality titles on the PSP, and practicing ourr arts and craft skills on the Nintendo DS. This year, XBOX 360 will unveil what Microsoft feels could revolutionize gaming forever; Kinect. XBOX 360 Kinect will undoubtedly be one of the hottest, if not the hottest item this holiday season and for good reason. Kinect removes controllers and remotes completely out of the equation. Hence the quote: Look Mom, No Hands! You can stand in front of the Kinect camera and use your hands in “Minority Report” style to flick through menu’s, use your voice to start and pause movies and your feet to well, dance. Majesco Entertainment Company, makers of Cooking Mama™ and Cake Mania®2 for Nintendo DS™, and Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum 2009 for Wii™, will launch Zumba® Fitness for XBOX 360 Kinect in November, for the dancing, fitness junkie in you. Zumba® Fitness is an addictive fitness craze that blends Latin and world rhythms with easy-to-follow dance moves to help successfully tone and sculpt the body while burning fat. I had the opportunity to demo the game, and addictive it is. The object of the game is to match the moves of your on screen dance instructor. How it works is Kinect focuses on the six points of your body; the shoulders, the hips and your feet to gauge your skills. Majesco developers decided that it was best to steer clear of a points system. That alone makes it less threatening. You can’t get booed off the stage like Guitar Hero. Your dance instructor’s body simply glows in the areas where you must improve. The better you move the more multipliers you obtain. The more multipliers you obtain the more backup dancers that appear behind you. As previously mentioned, I demoed Zumba® Fitness alongside Zumba Dance Instructor, Tanya B. I stepped up to the challenge and 30 seconds into the demo, I lost track I was being watched by 15 people. After taking in all the praise, I sat down with Tanya B. to talk about her experiences becoming a part of the game, Describe the process in becoming a part of this game?Tanya B: It was so cool to be a part of the step-by-step process, from filming on a green screen, to data capture, to voice over, then finally seeing it all pieced together and then actually playing the game and seeing myself, Gina Grant and Beto on screen. It really gave me a new found interest and respect for the industry – technology today is simply amazing. What was it like seeing yourself in the demo section for the first time?Tanya B: It was definitely surreal, and the first time I saw myself I actually blushed!  I was like whoa, that’s me!  I couldn’t believe I had a digital image – how cool is that, DIGITAL TANYA!How will people having access to Zumba at home, translate to coming to a class at the local gym?Tanya B: Nothing beats the sheer energy of a live Zumba class. However this game is pretty amazing because it teaches you the basics, keeps you motivated, and “on boards” you into a class. Also, it is very convenient for people that don’t have access to the classes or want to have a Zumba class on their own schedule.Being a Zumba Instructor yourself have you ever clocked a perfect score?Tanya B:Zumba is about moving, dancing and having fun so achieving perfection really isn’t the goal.  The best score you can achieve is feeling really great during and after you play. In fact, the game provides really positive feedback throughout the program and there is no passing or failing.  If you are moving and having a blast you are doing it right! For those who may have a slight competitive nature, the 2 player mode comes in handy! Here is a look at some of the games Majesco will release in the third and fourth quarter: Zumba Fitness Video Game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qO813ht4kM&feature=related Greg Hastings Paintball 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfISx2q65AE Swords for Nintendo Wii http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7HPOlJtUiM

Ras Kass: Revolutions and Resolutions of A Legend

Ras Kass released his first album, Soul On Ice, in 1996 to much critical acclaim.  Since then the West Coast rapper has been in a

battle with his record company, a fight that has left the rapper with a 14-year

career catalog of two released albums, two highly-praised unreleased albums,

and a string of mixtapes.  Ras, in short,

has never gotten a fair deal career-wise when it comes to record

companies.  That’s not to say that his

career problems have been all the record company’s fault.  Shortly before the release of his third

album, Goldyn Child, Ras Kass was

arrested for his third DUI, sentenced to jail time, and Priority Records

refused to release the album.  Ras, in

response, took the recordings, became a fugitive, finished the album, and later

turned himself in.  After 19 months in

jail he was released but had to return to jail because of a parole violation involving

his attendance at the 2007 B.E.T awards.

Released in May of last year, Ras Kass is free from the system and his

recording contract.  The MC is now making

the music that he wants to make and receiving praise for it.  His new double-mixtape A.D.I.D.A.S

(All Day I Dream About Spittin) is getting good reviews and Ras seems, for

the first time in awhile, comfortable.

AllHipHop.com:  First up,

what made you decide to do the Mel Gibson song?

Ras Kass:  We were

just in the studio writing some songs for another artist.  An A&R at interscope played it for me and

I just bust out laughing.  It wasn’t the

ni**er part.  It was the pack part.  He thinks we come out in litters like cats

and dogs.  It’s so offensive it’s

funny.  He’s crazy.  I have to sample this dude.  I know people thought I’d come with the heavy

“I’m gonna f**k you up Mel” beat but let’s be real…I’m never going to see

this dude.  So we just made it fun.  It took 30 minutes.  It was strictly for our entertainment but we

figured the A.D.I.D.A.S project is coming out so why not put it out.  It went viral for a bit.  Howard Stern spoke on it and TMZ called

me.   All the s**t I do and I get

some recognition for something silly.

Honestly though, if he hadn’t have said “pack” it would have never

happened.  The pack offended me so much I

just had to respond [laughs].

AllHipHop.com:   A few

years ago you described yourself as a music connoisseur and not just a

consumer.  Can you explain that?  As a connoisseur, who are you listening to?

Ras Kass:  Man, it

varies.  I’ll be honest…I don’t actively

go out and seek music.  There is just so

much out there.  Right now there are too

many rappers and not enough fans.  Too

many producers and not enough fans.  Too

many music critics and not enough fans.

Everybody blogs and….it almost defeats the purpose.  I love the internet for what it does do but

it is like a double edge sword.  I just

have what I call the “mixtape from hell” which has about 700 songs.  It can have De La Soul.  It can have rock records.  Just whatever I’m feeling at the moment.  I’ve been real heavy on Special Ed right

now.  The third album.  The one that didn’t sell.  I’m listening to it like “This dude is nasty…how do people not get it?”  I just try to listen to everybody.  Just stuff I think is dope.  I even got a record from The Game on there.

You make a dope song and I’ll listen…whether I believe you or not.  I can separate myself from my likes and

dislikes as a person.

AllHipHop.com:  On the new

album you have a song “Where Did She Go” where you describe not knowing Hip Hop

anymore.  Do you really feel that out of

touch?

Ras Kass: Sometime.

I’ve quit a couple of times.  I

quit for some years.  I was going back to

college and I wasn’t going to be a rapper anyway.  People just run with trends and

stereotypes.  I’m not going to turn into

n#### from the bay when it’s popular, then be from the south when it’s popular,

and then be the gangsta when it’s popular.

I’m not playing that game.  It gets

n####’s money…I get that…but it’s not me.

AllHipHop.com:  You were

wondering “how do people not get it” in terms of Special Ed but a lot of fans

say the same about you.  What is your

take on having critically acclaimed albums but that not translating into sales?

Ras Kass:  From

Russell Simmons to Dr. Dre to my mom…whatever….people have always said Ras is a

star.  I’ve never had the marketing and

promotion that my peers have had because, unfortunately, I signed with a

company that didn’t know what to do with me.

I picked the wrong company in retrospect but there is no use crying over

that.  I don’t equate my music with my

record sales.  Sales don’t validate me as

a person.  It doesn’t let me know how

dope my music is…or how wack it is.  If I

sold a million copies of a wack ass record the record is still wack.  It’s not good music.  You know, Hip Hop has gotten corny.  Everything it said it wasn’t going to be is

what it became.

AllHipHop.com:  For lack

of better words, you haven’t had the best experience with record

companies.  With the changes going on in

the industry do you see yourself signing with another record company?

Ras Kass:  Oh no.  Not at all.

I can speak on this now because there was literally a settlement and

there where terms to that settlement that had me quiet for three years.  I’m done.

I’m kinda cool.  [laughs].  It’s funny because I see all these people out

here trying to get a deal like it’s going to save their life and ever since

2002 I have been trying to get fired.

Just let me out the deal.  It got

ugly with me and this particular company.

To the point where they are sending cease and desist letters to actively

stop me from putting out music.  They

were trying to kill me by stopping me from making a living.  So, now I’m out. Done.

AllHipHop.com:   So not

having a deal frees you up to do the A.D.I.D.A.S

project.  What was your mindset going

into this project?

Ras Kass:  Well  A.D.I.D.A.S

is the first….you know I did a bid basically for a parole violation.  I was pretty disgusted.  Let me just throw some facts out there.  California has the higher rate of recidivism,

which is returning to prison, than the rest of the world.  So of course they create unrealistic

situations that can ensure the most amount of people go back.  I went back.

I was disgusted with myself.  I

got out.  Now this is the first time

since…You know what…this is the first time I’ve gotten to make music without

being under duress.  This was something

for me.  I had peace of mind on this

one.  I wanted to make something I

thought was missing in 2010. Not just to make music people wanted me to make.  Not just for names.  I got Jean Grae on the album.  I heard the beat and pictured me and her on

the track.  Not for namesake but for the

sake of music.  This is just a dope Hip

Hop record.  I feel blessed when people

just say it’s dope.

AllHipHop.com: You’ve had

problems with record labels but you’ve also had your own personal problems with

the law.  How much do you believe your

career has suffered do to your own doing?

Ras Kass:  They are

interrelated.  When I get frustrated I

can become self destructive.  Before I

had a record deal I was already doing s&#^ that would send me to jail.  My dad’s a retired police officer and he

would tell me I was creating a hole for myself.

He was right.  Anytime you remove

yourself from freedom…life goes on, things evolve, and you don’t grow.  I’ve removed myself out the real world for

about six years of my life.  It’s not

cool.  I’m not proud of it.  I don’t make songs that glorify it. Yet, you

have all these rappers that have never been glorifying it.  Hip Hop use to hold people accountable.  Now we brown nose because someone sold a

record.  I didn’t listen to the music as

a kid so I came late to Hip Hop.  But

when I heard it I believed it.  Now it’s

contrived and corny.  We use to say if it

ain’t dope I don’t I don’t care how much it sells.  Then I started seeing my favorite rappers say

“How you not gonna say I’m the best?  I

sold this many records.”  We’ve let it get

out of hand.

AllHipHop.com: You

mentioned earlier about people wanting you to be a certain way.  I think the song that epitomizes that is

“Nature of the Threat”.  A lot of fans

want to hear a song like that again.

What do you say to that?

Ras Kass:  This is

what I say now.  Jay-Z said it.  Want my old s### buy my old album.  And n##### didn’t buy that  [laughs].

You talked all that s&$* like you wanted it and you didn’t even buy

it.

AllHipHop.com:  Yeah, your

first album, Soul On Ice, is going

for $119, new, on Amazon.

Ras Kass:  Yeah, I’m

one of the first artists out of print

from that company.  There are artists

that sold more than me and artists that sold less than me but they just pulled

it out of print.  Rasassination [Ras Kass’ second album]– they pulled it out of

print.  I’m not trying to say anything…I’m

just stating facts.  Take what you want

from those facts.  So to those people

that want another “Nature of the Threat” you should have supported it.  Furthermore, it was just a thesis paper.  The question is “Should we consider white people

a threat because of the nature of racism?”

I’m different now.  Now I might

want to ask a different question.  Just

trying to recreate that wouldn’t be genuine and it would sound contrived.  I’ve put out other lyrical records but since

I didn’t have an ad in a magazine or on a website you didn’t listen.  I wrote “Behind the Music” which is one of

the most in-depth songs I ever heard about the music industry coming from a

rapper.  I’ve done my part and if you

want me to keep doing the same thing then you’re not really my fan.  You’re not my supporter.  You just want me to be a monkey and do the

same thing over and over again.  I keep

my music honest.  You just want the same

thing and that’s what I mean when I talk about the corniness of Hip Hop.  I get the messages on Twitter and facebook

all time telling me what I should do.  If

fans had their way there would be no Outkast.

They’d still be doing Southernplayalisticcaddilacfunkymuzik.  Lil Wayne would never be Weezy.  He’d still be one of the Hot Boys.  Jay-Z would still be Jigga.  Common would never wear a coofie.  But you still want me to be 17 year old Ras

Kass.

AllHipHop.com: So why do you

think fans try to box you in?

Ras Kass:  It’s

weird.  People are multi-dimensional but

they want you to be one dimensional.  You

would think they would embrace the person that is trying to be honest.  They want you to just be one way.  For instance, I love Young Jeezy’s

music.  This dude makes songs that make

me want to go sell crack.  Like put on an

Atlanta Braves hat and go out to the Trap.

I’m not going to sell crack but I still love the music.  People will get mad because I like Young

Jeezy.  I can’t like Young Jeezy?  When I’m on my n#### s**t I want to hear

Jeezy.  When I’m in the club and girls

are dancing I want to hear “I’m Bringing Sexy Back”.  When I’m chilling I want to hear “Electric

Relaxation”.

AllHipHop.com: Back to A.D.I.D.A.S.  We heard them on the album.  Are we going to get a HRSMN album with you,

Canibus, Killa Priest, and Kurrupt?

Ras Kass:  We just had

a meeting with a potential company.

There will definitely be an album.

We’re going to start hopping in the studio.  I think we have an ill concept.  It’s not just going be us hopping on

beats.  There’s going to be a good

concept….like it’s a movie.

AllHipHop.com:   Your twin

sons are on the album.  Both of them grow

up and want to be rappers.  What do you

tell them?

Ras Kass:  Don’t do

it! [laughs].  I want some lawyers,

doctors, and crooked cops.  I want one to

be a banker so we can wash money and the other to be a crooked cop

[laughs].  Nah, I support them in

whatever.  Their uncle is Xzibit.  They are kind of acclimated to it.  I mean no one else in my family was into

music.  My sister is in law school. She

wants to be an entertainment attorney just because she saw what happened with

her brother.  At least if they decide to

go into it we can be prepared.

AllHipHop.com: You’ve

talked about growing and being a multidimensional artist.  Given your time in the industry if you could

go back in time and tell a younger version of yourself one thing what would it

be?

Ras Kass:  I wrote a

song about it and it was on my mixtape, The

Quarterly.  I would tell myself you

can’t trust everybody.  Money brings the

monkey out of everyone.  People act

up.  Oh, and honestly I don’t think I

could write “Nature of the Threat” today because there have been incredible

white people who have helped me and dudes I’ve grown up with that straight took

the skin off me.  Actually, I wouldn’t

tell the young me anything.  He needs to

go through the good, the bad, and the ugly.

If he knew everything then I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Tyga and Soulja Boy album? Nas’ Reunion? Epic Fail Of The Day

DISCLAIMER:All content

outside of what the streets have whispered in our ear. Read on.

THE DAILY TWO SENSE

You know the drill. Weekends are slow. Send me what you know. Just so you know, there probably won’t be anymore Montana Fishburne stuff on here after today.

DADDY TRIED

Apparently Laurence Fishburne made a last minute desperate attempt to halt the release of his daughter’s p#### video. Rumor has it that LF, through some of this big time friends, made an offer of $1 million to Vivid Video, an adult video company, to get them to dead the sex vid. They declined and dropped the vid. My old pal Freezy hit me up on Facebook and told me he’s seen it and has a link. I’m probably going to pass on that one.

So, I was on Twitter and I saw some of the tweets people were saying in support of Montana Fishburne. I was amazed. One said:

“You Know What You Do You Boo Don’t Worry About The Hate I Support You 100%”

Another said:

“they hatin so much because they wanna be like you..But you to far ahead for them to even keep up…”

And yet another said:

“F**K THE HATERS MY ITS UR LIFE, IF U NEED A 6’6 BOYGUARD GET AT YA BOY, I’LL SLAP A MUTHAFF**A 4 U”

Then I realized that ‘Tana had a beef with Jamie Foxx over the weekend. He went in on her and dissed her and she fired back at him.

“Jamie Foxx named it Foxxhole radio for a reason: he didn’t want to be the only Foxx hole getting play on people’s kitchen tables!!”

Rumor has it, Montana got $25k for that movie.

And how to people support a 19-year-old daughter of a movie star doing hardcore p###? I just don’t get people. They are strange.

ILLSEED’S RUMORS

People are saying Queen Latifah is losing some endorsements due to the recent pics of her and her friend. I don’t believe it though.

Don King is going to try to make Manny Pacquiao Vs. Floyd Mayweather come to light.

Prince supposedly does his own hair. Lolol…

How long will Game’s album get pushed back? This is getting crazy! I read a report where Game is getting PO’d about the delays.

JAZZY F. JUMPS IN ON THE RUMORS!

Just when I though I was going to have a weak Monday, Jazzy F. leaps in with more on…Brian Pumper Jay-Z Diss, Chippy-D the spotted p### star, Nas & The Firm Reunion & Tyga and Soulja Boy album.

The Rumors definitely will not be late. Jazzy F. B about to go right on in. I was on twitter and seen the homie illseed tweet the rumors will be late so I had to come through and hold the homie down. Now you all know Jazzy F. B is from Harlem and I keeps it live all day with the rumors. Now when I check in you guys know we do it just a little bit different. We keeps it all the way hip hop, you know just some around the way type ish. I like to call my rumors “Word On The Street”. So lets Go In!!!

“Word On The Street” that I heard is Soulja Boy and Young Money’s Tyga will be doing a collaboration. This will be something similar to what Tyga and Chris Brown has done for “Fan of A Fan” mixtape. This has not been confirmed but over the weekend a in-studio performance video of Tyga and Soulja boy hit YouTube for “Be Quiet” which is a track of the EP. So I guess the Tyga abd Soulja Boy fans can get excited about this. I guess Soulja Boy is a rapper, so much for #ifsouljaboywasarapper. *JazzyFShrug*

Lets get to the bottom of this The Firm reunion that is suppose to be going down. “Word On The Street” is Foxy Brown, AZ aka Sosa, and Cormega have already put their past issues aside and been in the studio recording for the new album. We have already seen Cormega and AZ show up with Foxy Brown and her blue panties show @ BB Kings which I heard was bananas as Ashanti would say. I know what you all are saying. Where the hell is Nas Escobar? Now here is the gotcha gotcha. Word is Nas is still not on board and will not be until the money is right. The Firm reunion with out Nas is like The Firm never happening. We needs Nas back in this fold asap.

Now lets talk about this Chippy-D aka Montana Fishburne chick. Now if you seen the video then you saw the D in chippy D may stand for Dalmatian due to the many spots on Chippy-D’s behind. Now I am not saying this is true or not but from the looks of it someone has damn sure had their fair share of visits to the clinic.Chippy-D did state she give a good b###### in a car on a daily basis so only lord knows. Now we not gone even go into Brian Pumper the p###-star/corny-rapper who put out a diss track to Jay-Z this weekend. What?!! Yuuup! that is what I said. The Corny rapper put out a diss track to Jay-Z. So lets ignore that this ever happen and the fact that he actually think he can rap and have a career. I mean he does has the warehouse factory jewelry game down quite flat. All those from NYC know what I am talking about. I expect a serious smack down in the comment section about Brian Pumper.

Check out the Jay-Z Diss Here:

Lata folks and Don’t forget 2 follow me on TWITTER @itsJazzyFBaby

BADU AND BAWSE

Thanks, Jazzy F….here is something you all may have seen over the weekend. What an interesting collaboration.

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY

Lololol! This dude in the red failed. I can’t even tell you. Just watch it.

NICKI’S NEW PROMO PIX!

NICE….oh boy. These are from the MTV music awards coming up.

THE NICKI MINAJ OF POP GOES NUTS!

Over the weekend, Gaga performed at Lollapalooza and lost her ever-lovin’ mind! Not only was she almost naked, but she jumped into the crowd and mad out with a dude while crowd surfing. It ain’t Hip-Hop, but its news worthy.

GAGA, WE LOVE YOU.

They

keep us talking, but if we

stop talking about them then

they should worry!

Controversial Nelly Concert Moved To The ‘Heart’ Of Branson

(AllHipHop News) A controversial concert featuring St. Louis rapper Nelly will continue, after another local venue agreed to host the event. The concert, which is the first major Hip-Hop concert to be held in the popular midwestern resort, was almost canceled. Promoters wanted to hold the concert in the parking lot of The Grand Palace Theater, because the interior of the building is being renovated. VIDEO: Pras Explains Why He’s Not Supporting Wyclef Haitian Presidency

(AllHipHop.com) Wyclef Jean has been publicly criticized for his presidential aspirations in Haiti and fellow Fugee Pras has been one of the loudest voices.

Both men are natives of Haiti, but Pras says Wyclef doesn’t have a plan that properly address the enormous needs of the disenfranchised nation.

“You’ve got 1.2 million people living in tent city right now. What are the plans to get these people out,” Pras said of the survivors of a January earthquake that devastated the already impoverished nation.

Pras is supporting the presidential bid of Michel Martelly, who announced his bid on Thursday.

Wyclef has not addressed Pras criticism, but he has emphatically stated that he is qualified to lead his homeland.

“I have no qualifications for president; I have qualifications for a leader,” he told CBS. “The reason why I even entertain this idea is education, job creation, agriculture, bringing security into the country.”

“He’s more popular in Haiti than Wyclef,” said Pras.

Black and Ugly as Ever, However!

“First things first, I Poppa, freaks all the honey’s, dummies, playboy bunnies, those wanting money.  Those the ones I like, cause they don’t get nathan, but penetration unless they smell like sanitation.  Gar-barge I turn like door knobs.  Heartthrob?  Never, black and ugly as ever; however…”Biggie is considered the G.O.A.T by many because of his brilliant rhymes, impressive rhyme patterns and his visually vivid story telling ability; everything else about him was a plus.  He was a true lyricist, arguably the crème de la creme, during a time when artists fought literally and figuratively for microphone supremacy, while allowing the fans and their peers to anoint them “The King Of” based on their music alone, as opposed to being self appointed by self proclamation based solely on what one thinks of himself.Though there appear to be a lot of “successful” rappers today if we base it on the material possessions they flaunt and the sums of money that’s too much to fold, perfectly placed to poke out of both front jean pockets as seen in music videos; however, I wonder how many would have existed during the time in hip hop when what a person rapped about mattered?  Or better yet, I wonder if rap stardom was solely based on an artist’s lyrical ability as it once was, which of today’s artists would be a marquee name? Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t fault the business aspect of rap because it is a business (and everybody want to get paid), but it would be irresponsible of me or anyone else not to acknowledge that the commercialization of the music appear to have altered the motivation of the artist, leading to the stagnation of the art.  And since those individuals and corporations who are benefiting the most from the commercialization of our music are not from our community, they don’t feel a responsibility to our community.  So they exploit our community (with our help) using the same vehicle we created to voice our feelings about societal ills negatively affecting our community, which we used to do so poetically.  Oftentimes, I recollect the day when rap stars were born and not manufactured.According to the “brain trust” of MTV, their last full list of the Hottest MC’s in The Game 2009 included these ten artists from top to bottom, starting with number one:  Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy, Fabolous, 50 Cent and Raekwon.  Besides Jay Z and Raekwon who we know were able to coexist with the marquee players during the last decade of prominent lyricism, which included at least three if not more of the greatest emcee’s on just about everybody’s Top 5 Dead Or Alive, who else on this list could have been prevalent during the nineties?  Granted, Lil Wayne did release his first solo album in late1999, which was certified platinum within a month.  Still I ask, based solely on lyricism, would Lil Wayne had been able to successfully coexist with the likes of Tupac, Biggie, Nasty Nas, a young Snoop Doggy Dogg, The Wu Tang Clan and the countless others that honed their skills during that time to be considered one of the best?  Would he along with the others on the list have been as big as they are today?  Difficult question indeed to ask, let alone answer.  It’s the equivalent of sports fans asking whether or not a team including Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh could have competed with the Magic-led Showtime, the original big three in Boston, and Michael and whoever.  Though we know the answer is “hell no,” nevertheless we ask the question.Personally, of the people listed, I think that Funeral Fab could have been able to garner the respect of his peers and be successful because of his lyrical ability during the time in reference.  If rap stardom was based solely on lyrics and not the lyricist’s story (which if you listened to his lyrics, you would know his story), F-a-b-o-l-o-u-s would be a super star in the game, in my opinion.  I also think that the incredibly talented Kanye West would have been an instrumental entity in rap because of his lyrical skills during the end of the twentieth century.  I argued with a good friend of mine that both Rick Ross and Jeezy could have coexisted with the likes of the greats of the nineties.  Even though I was referring to the artists that they both evolved into, he still was not as convinced as I am.  Then he suggested 50 Cent and I wasn’t as convinced as he was.  50 Cent was actually out during the nineties, but had minimal buzz outside of New York until his song How To Rob was released.  Needless to say, during that time he was nowhere near as big as he would later become.  Although his name wasn’t on the 2009 list, but considering the question that I asked, I think that T.I would have held his own lyrically in the presence of greatness.  Emcees who successfully debuted during the nineties were cut from a different cloth than the majority of the rappers that followed them into the new century.  But I must honestly acknowledge that it’s always refreshing to see those emcees who appear to be wearing a familiar garment.  At the same time, it saddens me that there are only a few.So I ask what about Game, Lloyd Banks, Juelz. B.O.B, Kid Cudi, Jay Cole, Jay Electronica, Jay Rock, 40 Glocc, Ludacris, Cassidy, Papoose, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, Plies, Flo-Rida, Nicki Minaj and any of the other artist’s that we prominently see on television, the internet and hear on radio, would they have existed during the golden era of emceeing, based solely on emceeing? To you, are there any emcee’s in your opinion, who hit the scene after 2000 who will be able to be mentioned lyrically in the same breath as the likes of Tupac, Biggie, Nasty Nas, a young Snoop Doggy Dogg, The Wu Tang Clan and the countless others that honed their skills during 1990’s to be considered one of the best?

MONTANA FISHBURNE SPEAKS!

This child is…so far gone. AOL Black Voices talked to Montana Fishburne and got a lot out of her. No, they didn’t tap it! I extracted the more shocking stuff, but click here to read it all.

BV: How much did you make off of this? Was it six figures?

MF: I don’t know.

BV: Well, everyone wants to know what your father thinks about it?

MF: I mean, I haven’t talked to him directly yet. We have conflicting schedules, so it’s been hard. But, he’s upset. I hope he supports me. But as soon as I talk to him, you guys are going to hear something

BV: How has Kim Kardashian really influenced you?

MF: She inspired me to go to Vivid. I always wanted to do p###. That was a given. So when I decided to start getting in to it, to see how I was going to go about it, I looked to her. Kim Kardashian released her sex tape with Vivid. Paris Hilton, Kendra Wilkinson, Pamela Anderson, all these people. And they’re well known for having celebrity sex tapes. And Kim’s is the one that did the best.

BV: Now what’s your association with Brian Pumper? He’s saying that you have another movie coming out?

MF: I did a music video for him, but with my p### career, I’m focusing on Montana Fishburne with Vivid. That’s what it is. The whole Brian Pumper thing, I look at it as a mistake honestly. And I’m trying to get away from that and focus on Vivid and the release of this movie.

BV: Do you think Brian Pumper will have a rap career now that he has a video out?

MF: No, I don’t think his music appeals to the mainstream.

BV: When are we going to see you and him in action?

MF: Me and Brian are no longer in contact.

BV: Do you think he’s exploiting you?

MF: Yes, I feel taken advantage by Brian Pumper. I don’t really want to go into details about the situation. Jeremy [Greene, an aspiring p### actor], he feels for me, he knows how I feel about it. He has talked to Brian, and they have dealt with each other, because I don’t even want to deal with him anymore. I’m not in contact with Brian Pumper, and I’m just trying to get rid of the situation.

OH BOY, MONTANA…WE STILL LOVE YOU. TOUGH LOVE! NO P####!

Jay-Z’s Memoir To Be Released This Fall

(AllHipHop News) “Decoded,” the memoir of Jay-Z’s life, will finally make it to stores in November even though it has been finished for a number of years.

The book, written by author and film maker Dream Hampton, will examine the history of the Hip-Hop mogul though a series of extensive interviews from Jay-Z, his family and friends.

The Brooklyn native explained his reluctance to release the book before now.

“It’s too much. For the book, I was interviewed, people close to me were interviewed. So I was learning a lot of things I didn’t know as a child,” Jay told Rolling Stone in the June issue. “It’s not anything i haven’t said in the past, in songs. It’s just more detailed. A song is three minutes long. A book doesn’t have to rhyme, and it has no time limit, so you can say exactly how everything went.”

The book will also delve heavily into Jay-Z’s lyrical content.

“Decoded” will be in stores on November 16.

Exclusive: Wyclef’s Presidential Rival In Haiti Speaks On Rapper’s Campaign

(AllHipHop News) Wyclef Jean is speaking out against those who have questioned his motives with his Yele Haiti non-profit, as well as his bid for election as Haiti’s President.Just one day before he announced he would run for President of Haiti, the IRS filed liens against Jean’s Yele Haiti, claiming the organization owes $2.1 million in back taxes. “I guarantee you within the next two or three days, what I want you to do is look at the statements from my accountants and everything. Everything is clear as far as I am concerned when I spoke with my accountants on the phone,” Wyclef Jean said. Actor/activist Sean Penn, who has been managing a earthquake survivor camp in Port-Au-Prince since the early spring, questioned Wyclef’s motives for running for President. He also pondered the legality of Wyclef’s bid for President, due to his duel citizenship with the United States. While Jean commended the efforts of Sean Penn he also chastised the actor for not reaching out to him before making such public statements. “I just want Sean Penn to fully understand that I am a Haitian and born in Haiti and I have been coming into my country ever since I was a child,” Jean told the Associated Press. “I told my wife when was  going into this, its like a combat sport, so Wyclef Jean’s life has always been in the open. I have to take a position in office so that the youth population that is in Haiti, that is over 50% of the population, we can start to provide a way to get them out of the mess they are in.”Wyclef still must be approved by the provisional electoral council in order to be able to run for office, according to Haiti’s electoral process. In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com, Wyclef’s Presidential rival Michel Martelly also questioned the rapper’s ability to help Haiti recover from a devastating earthquake in January, which killed 250,000 people and displaced another 1.5 million. Former Fugee group member Pras Michel is backing Martelly in his run against Wyclef Jean for President of Haiti.Martelly, who is also an award-winning Haitian musician, first became familiar with The Fugees after the release of their hit 1996 album The Score. According to Martelly, he has been a very close friendship with Wyclef and the rapper’s family for years and his son even attended the Fugees reunion concert in 2006 in California. However, Martelly questioned Wyclef’s ability to really lead the country. “I know that Clef is well intentioned. But, I believe that not having been raised here, not being familiar with any neighborhood – because I don’t think Clef can drive anywhere here on his own – he can’t speak the languages, I agree that those are handicaps, Martelly told AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview. “I’m not saying that he couldn’t surprise the world and be a good president. I cannot say that; I would be speculating. I’d be speculating if I said he couldn’t deliver. But there are things about him that raise concerns for us here in Haiti. Because he doesn’t know the country. He doesn’t know who are proper political allies, who he can trust. He doesn’t know our culture, he doesn’t know our way of life, he doesn’t know what we expect. He doesn’t know our needs. He doesn’t realize that some people may never truly accept him.”To read AllHipHop.com’s exclusive interview with Michel Martelly, click here.

WAKA AND GUCCI AIN’T COOL NO MO’

Check out this interview that VIBE did with Waka Flocka Flamezzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!

Do you know why Gucci and Nicki decided to part ways with your mom?

I can say when you start getting hot, there are a lot of people that get in your ear. I call that the devil. It’ll turn you against the people that helped you. They must have just felt like they needed a change. Maybe they felt like other people can take their career somewhere else. I don’t know. Just like LeBron going to the Heat. I ain’t mad, though, or got problems with anybody. Moms is good; her bills are paid.

Has the split affected your relationship with Gucci?

Yeah, all the way… All the way. I ain’t got beef or anything but it has changed.

So what’s your relationship like now?

There is none. We don’t talk anymore.

First the Fat Boys Break up….damn!!!!

RIHANNA NOSE JOB

There has been a huge dust up over a report by Life & Style magazine, who claims by way of a doctor, that Rihanna has had a nose job.

“New Jersey based plastic surgeon Dr Michael Fiorillo agrees that the “Umbrella” singer, 22, now has a slimmed-down nose.

“The nostrils were made smaller and the bridge was built up a little,” he says. “She had word dome on the tip too.”

Just to make certain the good doctor was seeing things, Life & Style reached out to 8 other top surgeons ? all of whom agreed that Rihanna most likely went under the knife.”

Keep it real, these are dumb rumors that I don’t really like.

JIM JONES BUSTS UP FRENCH MONTANA?

Watch this video. Looks like the long running been with French/Max B and Jim Jones ain’t over. Jim and his crew throw bottles and other things at Frenchie.

I really couldn’t tell it was Jim, but I assume the people there could and that’s why they are reporting it as such.

SMH! THE SWAGGER WAGON

Aw man, this is actually funny to me. I know its just as bad/good as the Bounty towels rap commercial, but I think this is better.

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY

Wow. A pregnant woman decided to rob a store. It gets worse. She was robbing it so she could get drugs. It gets worse. She got caught when she was unable to pull her weapon. Her weapon was a hammer…like a carpenter’s hammer. It gets worse. This is what she said when Julie Bailey, 38, tried to rob Taco John’s restaurant: “I want a soft shell and this is a stickup. Give me all your money.” She was arrested so fast, they recovered the slippers she plopped off while trying to escape. She said her 51 year old roomie put her up to it. He’s caught a case and she’s in jail.
