Clipse New Clothing Line Lands In Stores Friday

Two of the Clipse’ biggest pending projects are one step closer to coming to fruition, the brothers announced today.

First up will the be long-awaited release of their new clothing line, Play Cloths, which is set to hit stores on Friday (November 21).

The new clothing line, which was originally announced in December of last year and slated for a summer release, is said to be a blend of American style, with the French Riviera and Monte Carlo uses of rich, vibrant primary colors to create collectible garments.

Play Cloths was created with the help of designer Doug Life, and as Malice puts it, is “all about trying to recreate the whole feeling of trying to get that fly s**t.”

The Clipse have also revealed a tentative date for their Columbia Records debut.

Til’ The Casket Drops, which will be released as a collaborative effort between the group’s Re-Up Gang Records imprint and their latest label home, is scheduled for a March 2009 release.

The album is reported to feature production from Timbaland, Danja, Dame Grease and Kanye West, as well as contributions from Diddy’s production team The Hitmen.

In the meantime, Pusha and Malice will debut a new mixtape for their eager fans.

The project, entitled Road To ‘Til’ The Casket Drops’ will be available as a free download on December 1st.

It will be The Clipse’s first mixtape release in a year.

Lil Keke Drops Major Label Debut

After a decade-plus of work in Houston’s underground scene, veteran Lil Keke is now prepared to introduce his first attempt at mainstream recognition.

Since signing with Universal Records in March 2007, Keke has been hard at work completing Loved by Few, Hated By Many.

After months of meticulous work, Keke is confident that he’s crafted an album that is wholly Texas, but not chock full of the stereotypical topics associated with the region.

“I’m used to making albums real quick, but I took my time on this ’cause it’s my first mainstream album,” Keke explained to AllHipHop.com. “I took about a year and a half to make this. It’s not gonna be the same Texas rap, talking about bo’s and candy paint. I’m gonna paint pictures of every walk of this game.”

The Houston staple has come a long way since first joining the late DJ Screw’s Screwed Up Clik over 10 years ago at the age of 16.

Recalling the late pioneer’s chopped and screwed style, an innovation that’s become a cornerstone of Houston’s sound, Keke chuckled in amazement at how oblivious the collective was to the history they were creating.

“There wasn’t even a booth. The microphone was just out in the middle of the room,” Keke told AllHipHop.com of his early sessions with DJ Screw. “We wasn’t doing nothing but having fun and next thing we knew, people were calling us to come do these freestyles at their shows. I was 17 getting paid $2000 just to do one song.”

Regarding the new generation of Houston emcees, Keke is appreciative of them carrying on the traditions.

However, he is adamant in making clear the origin on their styles. “The style you hear Paul Wall, Mike Jones, and Slim Thug doing was created from my style,” Keke claimed. “The slang that they’re using is a slang they got from me when they were coming up and riding around. I was the first one that put that slang out and made it sell.”

The lead single from Lil Keke’s new album is “I’m a G,” featuring Cash Money’s Baby AKA Birdman.

Loved By Few, Hated By Many hits stores today.

Wu-Tang and Fila Reunite for New Weathertech Boot

Revered Staten Island, NY rap collective Wu-Tang Clan is giving

shoppers another item to add to their Christmas list with its new Wu-Tang

Weathertech boot.

The footwear is the

latest product to emerge from Wu-Tang Brand, Ltd’s alliance with popular sportswear

brand Fila. The two companies first collaborated in 2007 with the release of

the C.R.E.A.M. shoe, a special limited edition of Fila’s classic original

tennis shoe that was available in three colors and developed exclusively for

New York City’s Training Camp sneaker boutique.

Although the Weathertech

boot marks Wu-Tang’s second footwear venture with Fila, the group’s business

partner Oliver “Power” Grant revealed that Wu-Tang’s relationship

with Fila goes back to the collective’s beginnings.

“The partnership

with Fila began during our early days and our latest product represents the

ongoing mutual respect we have for the brand today,” the executive

said via a statement.

Inspired by the classic

Fila boot silhouette, the Wu-Tang Weathertech boot will feature an oiled suede

upper, molded rubberized vamp, d-ring lacing system and padded ankle collars.

The side and heel tab of the winter weather boot will include the Wu-Tang

Clan’s insignia as well as signature Wu-Tang yellow highlights.

Available for $100, the

Wu-Tang Weathertech boot is scheduled to arrive just in time for the holidays.

Jedi Mind Tricks: Force Unleashed

On the eve of the most historical Presidential elections in

America’s history, the vocal side of Jedi Mind Tricks is on yet another tour

bus leaving the infamous Las Vegas Strip. The trio [MCs Vinnie Paz and Jus

Allah, with Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind on beats]

from the City of Brotherly Love has cemented their position in the underground

Hip-Hop circuit as an unfiltered source for impassioned, sometimes political,

always hardcore rap music.

Exiting a city known as “America’s Playground” can be an

excursion full of joy or regret. However, more often times than not it’s the

latter. With their sixth studio album being released in less than a week via Babygrande Records,

Vinnie Paz , Jedi’s leading mouthpiece and the only

conscious member on board the bus, talks about a History of Violence, a reunited Jedi Mind Tricks, new rappers, and

of course the election with no regrets.

AllHipHop.com:

Vegas may be one of the only places in America where people aren’t worrying

about the recession. How did “Sin City” treat you?

Vinnie Paz:

Absolutely f**kin’ crazy man, we just spent three days in Vegas, so needless to

say we’re still pretty bugged out right now [laughs]. The downside about

touring is that it’s harder to get to hear about current events and research

what’s going on in the world; you can only really gauge it by what the fans say

and their reactions. But Jedi Mind fans will come out to support no matter what

is going on with the economy.

AllHipHop.com:

Since ‘96 Jedi Mind Tricks has dropped albums pretty consistently, there’s

hasn’t been more than a three year period without a new album. What are we

getting with A History of Violence?

Vinnie Paz: First

off, having Just Allah back in the group brings back a whole another dimension

to our music. History of Violence is

a multi-layered concept album, it’s sort of a double

entendre in reference to Violent by Design

which was our last album. But everything on this album is referring to the

state of affairs going on in our country and the entire world.

AllHipHop.com:

You’ve always been known as an MC that comes with hardcore lyrics and an

aggressive delivery, but fans and critics have noticed some changes in your

style especially with the Visions of

Gandhi album. Do you feel the need to be hardcore and violent to please

your fans?

Vinnie Paz: I

hear all the time, “Do you ever want to try different styles of Hip-Hop?” and

s**t like that, but it’s like this is the kind of

music we been making since ‘92. And there’s a certain point in your life when

you realize you are who you are.

I don’t consciously set out to change anything; our music evolves as we do as people. It’s just growth, and we have our own

style of music, there’s no changing s**t for us.

AllHipHop.com: What

about the new fans that just discovered Jedi Mind Tricks, what do you think draws

them to you ?

Vinnie Paz: The

generation gaps between me and some of the Jedi Mind Fans is just huge, they

didn’t grow up on the same music that I did, so their tastes are probably

totally different than mine but they still are loyal fans. A lot of young kids

make up our fan base, but in reality I make music for me and my people. I don’t

take criticisms to the heart from anyone, if you don’t

like my music, don’t listen to it- real simple.

AllHipHop.com:

Jedi Mind is one of the few Hip-Hop groups that haven’t followed trends to stay

relevant, what’s different in the game plan today?

Vinnie Paz: We

have always ignored the mainstream and never let it dictate how we made our

music. We got our own sound and idea of what Hip-Hop music sounds like. Jedi

Mind has never let any of these trends that you see come and go influence how

we do s**t. And I think people respect that in any genre of music.

AllHipHop.com:

There’s a whole new wave of rappers being labeled as “Hipster Rappers” like the

Cool Kids, Mickey Factz,

The Knux, etc. The clothing

is a bit tighter and colorful, but they are being compared to the backpackers

of the ’90s. How do you feel about the new wave of rappers coming up?

Vinnie Paz: That

s**t is p#### to me, that’s just my opinion. I really don’t give a f**k about those type of rappers, I don’t listen to their

music. I don’t know any of these people personally, but it just ain’t my thing. Any time a person is being themselves is

cool, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. I like hardcore s**t, that’s

were this Hip-Hop s**t was birthed from. But all that s**t is just gay to me.

AllHipHop.com: Jus

Allah has been gone for some time, what can we expect with him back the group?

Vinnie Paz: Our

chemistry speaks for itself. In the grand scheme of things, we’ve known each

other since ‘93 and we really were together for only four of those years, so

I think people think that the break-up was bigger than it really was. Jedi Mind

isn’t changing s**t, it’s only growth as artists. You ain’t got to worry, we still bringing the raw

Hip-Hop.

AllHipHop.com:

Today is one the most historical elections ever, Jedi Mind Tricks has certainly

been an outspoken voice in politics, can this election mark any change real

change for America?

Vinnie Paz: I

think people who really [are] capable of changing the system around never

really had a chance to win anyway. Personally, I was a Ron Paul advocate, but

his vision and ideologies were too radical for people. Typically though, in

this country you are put in a position where you are choosing between the

lesser of two evils. We definitely need a change and Obama might be do the only

candidate left who can even attempt some sort of change, whether it’s the kind

the of change that the people want, we’ll just have to wait and see. I don’t know if anyone has attempted

any legitimate change since Kennedy.

A lot of people feel like Obama reminds them of Kennedy.

It’s going to take years and years to reverse all the damage that this muthaf**ker Bush did. There’s an

old quote, “The government should be scared of the people, the

people shouldn’t be scared of the government.” We are the ones that really hold

the power, but the majority of us have become the stereotyped lazy Americans.

& Electro-Magnetic Manipulation of Human Consciousness)

AHH Stray News: CTE CEO Kinky B Seeking Female Group To Sign

CTE CEO Demetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee, who also doubles as manager for multi-platinum rapper Young Jeezy, is hosting an open talent call seeking female vocalists age 18-25 to audition for a new singing group.

The auditions are a serious talent call to find a new group reminiscent of SWV, Total and 702, who will be signed directly to CTE.

Contestants may live anywhere, but must be willing to relocate to Atlanta.

The females will be judged by talent and music industry executives Shaun Harris A&R, Universal/Motown, Nick Love, Proving Grounds LLC and Arnaz Smith, Producer – CTE.

Other judges include producers Shondrea”Bangladash”Crawford, who created Lil Wayne’s famous “Milli,” as well as tracks for Ludacris, Ciara, Kelis and Eightball & MJG and Midnight Black, producer for Young Jeezy’s “Tear it up” feat Lloyd and Slim of R & B group 112’s new single “So Fly.”

The casting call will take place from 6-9 PM at Joi Studios, located at 2356 Park Central Blvd Decatur, Georgia.

“If you are a female that is serious about pursuing a career in the music business as an artist and are willing to work within a group, this is an excellent opportunity to see your dreams realized,” a CTE representative told AllHipHop.com.

Cassie: Shine Brighter

The age of blogging coupled with the latest paparazzi craze

has developed a new breed of movie stars and recording artists. It’s safe to

say that Cassie falls into that category. After only one hit single and a

disastrous live performance that attracted a slam of ridicule, Cassie is still

pretty visible – whether at parties, attending concerts, or living it up

with…that’s right…Diddy.

Ironically enough, a couple of minutes before AllHipHop.com

went in for the interview the classic nightmare request for a journalist was

asked: “No personal questions.” The questions were to be kept “to music.”

Later, during the interview, Cassie wasn’t asked to address the request for no

personal questions, but she touched on a reservation one would think a girl as

gorgeous as her shouldn’t have. The request begins to make sense.

Cassie makes it clear that she is not Aretha Franklin. She

hasn’t ever claimed to be a vocal powerhouse, but for some reason her perceived

mediocrity has been focused on and has become a double-edged sword. As she’s

proven, it hasn’t been her complete undoing, but for all intents in purposes

she is everything ordinary, in every

positive sense of the word. For her, there’s nothing wrong with that and that

strong perception of self has always been considered to be the first step to

success.

With an album coming out that found her working with

producers she’s never worked with before (since Ryan Leslie was her exclusive

producer on her debut) it’s enticing to find out what she’s got in store. In

theory, Cassie has been given a second chance to prove herself to be the artist

that is. And in the fickle world of music, a second chance is everything but ordinary.

AllHipHop.com Alternatives: Are you still working on the new project?

Cassie: I’m hoping

to finish up before Thanksgiving. That’s my goal because I’ve been working on

it for a minute now. It’s great. It’s really coming together. I have a lot of

content. Not sure what we’re going to pick yet. But it’s all coming together,

finally…

AHHA: Have you been

focusing entirely on the album? Or have you been working on other side

projects?

Cassie: I’ve just

been 100 percent on this album. Although I wish I could multi-task, I’m hoping

I can do that maybe next year. Throw in a little bit of acting or something on

the side, but I’m really focused on the album at this moment.

AHHA: You began

working exclusively with Ryan Leslie since the beginning. What was it like

working with new people?

Cassie: It was

definitely fun. I had a great experience with Ryan working on the first album.

I think we developed a great sound together. And we worked together on this

album and we’re going to work together a little bit more before I finish. I

really wanted to get a taste and flavor from some other producers and writers and

give new people the opportunity to work with me and at the same time get the

opportunity to work with new people. I think that nothing can make you any

better than to having other experiences with other people.

AHHA: What were some

of the most notable experiences?

Cassie: I think it’s

just the passion and the drive you learn from every person [that’s] different.

It’s all very strong but it’s different. I got the opportunity to work with

Kanye a while back, so I got to sit with him in the studio while he created and

he would make jokes, “See I don’t have a ghost producer.” He jokes. Everyone

knows that he’s incredible.

I just got out of the studio with Pharrell; we did a crazy

record together. I got the opportunity to work with The-Dream and Tricky who are

high right now. They just keep cranking them out. But I made it a point to work

with writers and producers that people don’t know, although I can’t say who

they are because I’m not sure of what’s going to make the album just yet.

There’s a lot of unknown [and] unseen talent out there. It’s just incredible.

AHHA: Is it true

you’re naming the album Connecticut Fever?

Cassie: You know

what? I heard about that! I was like, “Why would I name it that?” I actually

have been toying with different ideas on calling the album different things. I

haven’t actually said in any interview that I was going to call it anything. I

don’t know where that came from. It’s kind of funny.

AHHA: So, you’re

killing the rumor here? You’re not naming it that?

Cassie: No, I’m not.

I never really considered it.

AHHA: What was it

like acting on the big-screen [Step Up 2: The Streets]?

Cassie: It was nice

to get my feet wet. It was a small part for me. I don’t know…it was the perfect

movie for me at the time, because it was just what I needed to step outside the

music industry box and just see what else there was out there – for a

second. I never expected to be able to shoot a movie that soon, but I don’t

know…it was a crazy experience and it was great.

AHHA: Did it make

your imagination run a little bit as to what kinds of films you would like to

do in the future and think that maybe you can do films you wouldn’t have

thought of before? Who would you want to star in a movie with?

Cassie: There are so

many great actors and actresses. I don’t even know. I mean…can I work with

Denzel? I have no idea. It definitely let my imagination go. I’m a firm

believer in having a starting point and I kind of just jumped in and I was

little worried to do that in the first place with the film. But I feel

eventually I’ll be able to try out my indie films and things like that that I

want to do to get the experience of it all. I think it was great for me to go

in and do that role, but I definitely need to develop my experience as an

actress.

AHHA: I also

remember you wanting to develop your experience as a performer after the 106

& Park incident where your live performance wasn’t up to many

people’s standard, and you later expressed that it didn’t meet your own

standard. What did you learn from that?

Cassie: I think more

than anything, people were mean. I couldn’t ask for things to go any other type

of way. I don’t regret how it went, and there was a reason why that happened.

But at the same time I have to take the blow for it. That was my own fault for

not being prepared and not saying anything to anyone when I knew that I wasn’t.

I’ve gone in with my vocal coach.

I’ve made it clear to people that I’m not Aretha Franklin.

They’re going to see me perform and entertain, but they’re not going to see my

blow. I wouldn’t ever take credit for anything like that. It’s just not what I

do. I’ve gone in and have tried to develop it. Either running on the treadmill

and singing and doing whatever I have to do to prove to people because second

chances are rare. I’ve definitely gotten one, so I’m going for it. I’m going

for mine.

AHHA: What are you

looking forward to the most once the album is out and about?

Cassie: Oh, my, God!

I hope that people love it. Like it’s really a reflection of me. [The] sound

has just developed…not only the vocals, but [also] the music. It’s just all

evolved so much. I’m just excited for people to hear it and I want to hear the

feedback. Maybe it’s not what people want to hear from me but it’s something I

definitely enjoyed doing. But once they have it in their hand, it’ll just be a

relief because I’ve been working on it for a really long time.

AHHA: What do you

wish you had more of in your life?

Cassie: I wish I had

more time to spend with my family. I mean, is that valid?! [laughs]

AHHA: No, Cassie,

you’re supposed to say money! [laughs]

Cassie: I was like,

“Am I supposed to be deeper than that?” I really have been thinking about them

a lot. It’s actually my Dad’s birthday tomorrow. I wish I could go see him, but

I have to go…work! And I’ve made so many sacrifices so that this album could be

great.

So that I can have a great career and make money so I can

take care of my family in the future – that whole thing. I definitely

miss my family. I miss hanging out with my brother. They’re only in

Connecticut, which is not far, but when there is so much going on it’s hard to

make it up there.

AHHA: Since you feel

your sound has developed, who do you musically look up to?

Cassie: I think as

an artist I look up to all women doing their thing right now. I think that

every female artist has her own thing going on. My biggest idol is my mother.

She’s not an artist – she works in Connecticut, but she’s such a hero to

me and has taught me so much. It’s hard to even look at any other woman past my

mother and think that they’re any stronger.

Musically, I’ve always been a fan of, of course, Aaliyah and

Janet Jackson, their tone and their style and how they carry themselves as

women. Oh, and my new favorite is Apollonia! We’re taking it back to Purple

Rain!

AHHA: You’ve been in

the modeling industry and you’ve dabbled in the film industry. What has the

music industry taught you? Has it taught you anything?

Cassie: Probably,

believe it or not, I think there are so many artists out there that handle

themselves in so many different types of ways. I have been humbled by those

situations. From going and having my 106 & Park experience

from going and having people hate on me left and right, when they don’t even

know me and they don’t have any idea who I am. It definitely humbles me and

made me more calm and to myself. I’m less…I’ll be around a lot of people and

I’m quiet, because I rather people not have anything to say about me at all!

AHHA: Do you think

the public perception of a woman having the two qualities of being sexy and intelligent

rather than just having one or the other is more of a reality today than it

ever was? Especially in business.

Cassie: I can say

that now more than ever, because I was young before. I think that the

opportunity to be a businesswoman, smart, and about herself is a great thing.

Now more than ever women have the power.

I feel that for myself, I grew up watching my mother work my

whole childhood, and I’m not knocking stay at home moms at all! But seeing

that, it’s always been my mentality. I applaud women now for being business

savvy and intelligent and well-informed. We all know what’s going in the

election, we all have a say, and we’re part of it, and we’re stronger now for

it.

Hip-Hop Rumors: T-Pain Disses NY “Copycat,” Katt Williams’s Weird Vid, Game Hit With Bottle?

DISCLAIMER:

All

content within this section is pure rumor and generally have no factual

info outside of what the streets have whispered in our ear. Read on.THE DAILY TWO CENTS

First of all, don’t forget the late rumors from yesterday! We had that massive Jeezy concert fight! A bad Lil’ Kim rumor! You DO know a new war of words is heating up with Jay-Z and Jaz-O, right? OHHH…yeah…click to see them.

I want to thank everybody that rallied for me and

illseed.com. Whew! I managed to resolve the issue with the good people over at wordpress. That was definitely a wake-up call though. I

have to be in a better position to control my destiny. I know there will always

be rules and constraints, but still…

A MEMBER OF B.G.’S CREW SHOT?

My boy Mike from N.O. hit me up and let me know what’s good.

Unfortunately, what’s good is actually very bad. Mike was at the ER at University Hospital

in New Orleans

over the weekend tending to a family member.

While he was visiting, he and his family apparently saw B.G. and his entourage,

who was also there in ICU. Apparently,

someone in his crew got shot, Mike said.

Obviously this is all rumor and conjecture, but Mike told me that the

legendary rapper looked pretty shook-up.

Also, he said there were a lot of police there to ensure safety. Shout

out to the 9th Ward and my homey Mike. To B.G. keep your head up!

MOS DEF QUIT THE TOUR

I was just talking about Mos Def

missing the UK

date of Rock The Bells. Well, I heard something. From

what I understand, the first and last Mos Def appearance

at Rock The Bells tour was the European spot in Amsterdam. I am hearing

that backstage of that show, he had this incredible argument with the Rock the

Bells organization. I don’t know that nature of the conversation with the

group, but I am hearing that he was running around livid and yelling Shout out

to Venz…

T-PAIN: THE ULTIMATE AUTOTUNE DISS

DJ Skee got with T-Pain and the vocoder/autotun copy cats. But T-Pain highlights that Ron Browz, the architect of the “Pop Champagne,” offered

the WORST use of the song. I actually think I know some bigger names that have

used the device with much less skill than Browz. I’m

sure T-Pain didn’t want to call his buds out.

THE GAME GETS HIT WITH BOTTLE IN S.A.?

Everybody knows I love SOUTH AFRICA! Now, I know Africa is a huge continent, but it just so happens that I

gravitate most. I don’t know why, but they are just cool to me. (Note: the rest

of Africa, feel free to hit me up!) Anyway, somebody

wasn’t so nice to The Game. As you know The Game was in Jo-Burg. I heard that

The Game was performing in S.A.

and somebody straight up hit him with a bottle. I don’t know how it affected The

Game, but the person that threw the bottle reportedly got ETHERED by security.

You all probably saw “The Game Boy” spitting all the rapper’s lyrics…anyway…I heard

The Game gave the boy one of his expensive chains and $500.The Game even reportedly

checked in, calling the boy’s family to make sure he didn’t get robbed. That’s

dope! I heard it was one helluva show.

SHOUT OUT TO BLACK FAFF!!!!!!!!

MORE ON GAME IN AFRICA

Shout out to Kenya!

The Game performed there (too?). But here is the rumor. He had an interview

with a local television station and The Game said he loves Jay-Z’s music, but

he’s got very little love for him a a person. This is

what I HEARD, so don’t take it as law. The interviewer also asked Game about

his beef with 50 Cent. He basically said that 50 was a jealous dude that didn’t

want him to shine. ALSO, he allegedly said he would murder Bishop Lamont if he

wasn’t on probation. LOL. Now, you know he’s kidding.

Certainly he means lyrically.

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

Island Def Jam Music announced that Jeff Straughn

is the new Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing of the label.

I forgot about Rihanna yesterday

when I talked about the honeys. So there is Beyonce,

Janet and RiRi! Check the vid:

Bump J is staring at 20 years for his alleged robbery of

some bank. Hope he didn’t do that!

I heard Bow Wow had a recent show in Cincinnati and some gang member where

allegedly trying to get at the lil’ G. They didn’t, but

I heard perhaps Wow Wow was a lil

too flashy. I don’t know about that though. What gang goes to a Bow Wow show.

FYI: Neither Estelle nor Dizzee

Rascal were at that Urban Awards in London.

They weren’t at the event. In fact Dizzee was at a

show in Glasgow, the other side of the UK with DJ Semtex.

Did anybody hear that Bobby Brown got arrested?

Both Eminem and 50 Cent are now

slated for a 2009 release.Wig pushed back.

Don Cornelius, former host of “Soul Train,” is looking at

five years in jail.

STAT QUO GOES IN

Check out Stat Quo talking about his situation. The rapper

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY

I think America

has the dumbest criminals in the world. Police

in PA claim a Pennsylvania

man attempted to rob a bank. Now that’s not the crazy part. When he tried, he couldn’t

get any money because the tellers’ empty cash drawers yielded no money! They

had no money to give the man. This must be the brokest

bank ever. In all reality, they were switching over the registers the moment

the man came in. So they were ABOUT to bring them money. So what does the crook

do? The would-be robber said that he was going to complain to the bank’s

management for not having money for him to take. The man was picked up about 10

blocks away from the bank after a witness called the police. The man was 48

years old. What a fool.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END

According to a report, an Australian man shot his lust interest

when she wouldn’t perform oral sex on him. Now, isn’t that crazy? You know it

gets worse. The name pointed and discharged his fire arm into the woman’s crotch

when she said no. The man, Laurie Edward Elliott of Adelaide, has already been found guilty of

threatening a person with a firearm and possessing a firearm without a license.

The man claimed that the gun went off accidentally and hit her in the crotch.

You know there are so many “puns” right here, I am going to stop typing.

THE BREEDING GROUND – TUESDAY! For more info, go to the AllHipHop Page on the event, or check out the SOB’s informational site.

there’s the problem of interpretation, and you’ve got some churches, some

people, basically doing things and saying it comes from here, but it doesn’t.

And then on the opposite end of the spectrum you’ve got blue, you’ve got the

Democrats, and they’re, like, ‘You can do whatever you want.’ Gay marriage,

whatever. But neither of them is right.”

When asked

about his perspective on social issues—gay marriage, abortion—Prince tapped his

Bible and said, “God came to earth and saw people sticking it wherever and

doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out. He was, like, ‘Enough.’

PETA ATTACKS LINDSAY LOHAN!

Lindsay Lohan was minding her own

business and when she was somebody from PETA threw a bunch of flour on the

they go to where they kill the animals in the bushes of whatever country they

WORLD SERIES OF HIP-HOP-A DIFFERENT VIEW!

I will be the first to admit, I know very little about this

WSOHH stuff. But there is such a furor going on that I cannot ignore it

anymore! I got another letter from somebody from North Carolina. Here is the letter and here

is the response from the people at WSOHH, who are apparently plotting bigger

and better fish to fry.

Hi Illseed,

My name is [name withheld]. I’m a independent hip-hop

artist from the Upstate of South

Carolina. Back in July I put $375.00 of my own money

towards a registration fee so I could compete for half a million dollars in the

World Series Of Hip-Hop at the end of August in Atlanta, G.A. The event

was supposed to have three different emcee weight classes based up age

brackets. When the August date came and went, I sent an email to the Indie Film Exchange requesting a refund. It’s November and

still no refund. There were supposed to be celebrity judges like Kool G Rap & Big Daddy Kane and yet it never happened.

I dunno whats up but I

thought maybe I could shed a lil’ more light on it

for you. Enclosed is the response I got when requesting my refund.

And just to show that I’m not bulls***ting, I’m going to forward the receipt to

you as well.

HELLO,

My name is Ms Red Sable, I am the Marketing & Promotions Dir. for the

WSOHH event.

I am reaching out to

inform you of some of the major changes that are in store for the event.

is in

being processed as

quickly as possible.(*Please note: If you made a formal complaint with Pay Pal,

unfortunately your refund process will take Longer because they have a

Different refund policy process, so you will have to follow up with them.*)

2. if you are a

Chairman’s Pass recipient and did not get to perform before a judge in your

city, please be patient we will be returning to your city.

3. if

you are a registrant waiting for the “Qualifying Tour” to come to

your city, please be patient , we will Re-turn to All cities listed on the web

site.

Why are there so many

drastic changes…to be BIGGER and BETTER with …

MTV…we have

established a special event partnership with the network, which caused us to

STOP, REVAMP, and MOVE, forward with a Larger and Stronger format.

What this means is, we

are now FULLY sponsored by MTV network TV! We have inked a bigger road tour and

reality TV show deal to cover 50 plus cities across the nation, (including

Florida, MD, and Arizona, to name a few) in oder to

give as many people as possible the opportunity to become a registrant in the

WSOHH with the Skills to win $1 million dollars!.

**We ask that you

please continue to be patient, as we complete the transition with MTV networks,

we should be able to give you a more detailed report about your refund and the

Road Tour once we receive them from MTV in about 1-2 weeks.**

**Again we know this

has been a Long and frustrating process, however we are moving as quickly as

the TV Network will allow us to move.**

We are aware of how

the constant changes may have caused you to question the validity of the event,

but we assure you the World Series of Hip Hop is Real & Legitimate. We hope

that you will decide to continue to be a part of it, but also understand if you

don’t, again our sincere apologies for ANY inconvenience these changes may have

caused you.

“Lollipop” Cover Scores Billboard Rock Entry for Lil Wayne

Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop and pop charts may represent familiar territory for Lil Wayne, but the rapper is breaking new ground on the music magazine’s rock chart with a cover of his hit single “Lollipop.”

The remake, performed by the Nashville, Tennessee based rock band Framing Hanley, currently sits at No. 37 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart.

With the ranking, Lil Wayne marked his first appearance on a Billboard rock tally.

The addition of “Lollipop” came as Framing Hanley tried to get its new guitar player Ryan in the band after returning from tour in April.

“We wanted to see how things would work out between us musically,” the group’s lead singer Kenneth Nixon, the group’s lead singer told Billboard. “During rehearsal, I’d mentioned we should cover Lil Wayne’s ‘Lollipop’ at our next show. Next thing I knew, Ryan was playing the intro on his guitar and an hour later we had our own rock rendition of it.”

The new version proved to be a hit as requests from fans began pouring on Framing Hanley’s MySpace page, a few days after the band played the song at a show in Nashville.

Soon after, Framing Hanley officially recorded and uploaded the song.

“The plays went through the roof,” said Nixon, who hopes their version of “Lollipop” satisfies Lil Wayne. “I love Wayne,” Nixon said about the New Orleans rapper, guitar player and rock ‘n roll fan. “He’s the originator, and I hope he believes imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”

The “Lollipop” cover is among the standouts featured on a re-release of Framing Hanley’s debut album The Moment, which arrives in stores November 18.

According to Billboard, the group recently hit the road for a month-long North American tour with Theory of a Deadman.

“Lollipop’s” showing on the Billboard rock chart is yet another accomplishment for Lil Wayne, whose latest album Tha Carter III, sold more than 1 million copies in its first week to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

EPIC FAIL OR GOOD PROBLEM TO HAVE?

Micheal Jackson has been a Godsend do some and..something else to others. Now. the son of an Arab monarch is suing the singer for $7 million because the KING of Pop didn’t deliver an album and an autobiography as promised. Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa is about to give MiJack WAR! MiJack says that $7 million was a GIFT. Oprah doesn’t give Gayle a cash gift like that. LOL. Court proceedings have already started.

THE FIRES ARE GETTING TO SNOOP

These wildfires have forced Snoop Dogg and his fam to leave their California home. He’s removed his family and staff like the rest of the 26,000 people evacuated from their homes over the weekend. This blaze has taken under over 150 houses in the state. Snoop wasn’t actually at the home. I do believe he is on tour overseas.

JAY-Z VS JAZ-O BEEF IS BACK

Jaz-O is sending a female to get at Jay. I love the cameraman for his constant chatter. Check this out.

CLASSIC JAY-Z!

What you snotty-nosed punks know about this old song? Even Jaz-O is in there. LOL.

JUSTIN…YOU’RE NOT SLICK!

At first, when I saw Justin Timberlake Saturday Night…I thought, “Boy he’s daring and crazy…and more.” But, then I thought, “That boy thinks he’s slick!” He’s already touched Janet’s boobage and now he gets a free pass to grind up on Beyonce. Click here to see it. He’s a sly lil devil, that Justin is! “Free feels, free feels!!”

Young Jeezy was live performing “My President” and suddenly a big brawl started in a Dallas club. Well, why’d it break out on the song dedicated to Barack Obama? SMH at “change.” Some things never change.

I don’t know who are how this is going to change, but IT HAS TO CHANGE. I am completely sick of this mess. Shout out to Young Jeezy for “My President.” Big man definitely beasted people…I gotta admit.

SPEAKING OF…SAY NO MORE!

That lucky dude!

This is the Obama girl.

EVERYDAY HE’S HUSTLIN’…?

You may recall the intense battle, the uncounted votes and the big bucks waved in people’s faces. It seems like the owner is presently in jail and will be for a couple years. This was sent to me about the WSOHH contest.

As you probably are aware, nobody has gotten paid yet for the WSOHH battles that took place in New York on September 27th featuring Murda Mook vs. Young Hot, Lady Luck vs. Rece Steele and Ness vs. Mysonne. We just found out that WSOHH chairman Furqaan Clover was in jail 2 years for forgery. Furqaan is not this guy’s real name…

Here is the whole story from a person looking to recover money from the contest.

His real name is Franklin Clover and his known aliases are Bayshawn and Larry Jones. I guess the New Jersey Department of Corrections doesn’t know he goes by Furqaan now.

We don’t know if he took the money or if that money even existed in the first place. He said the money to pay the participants was in escrow, but I don’t think anyone ever saw proof of that. We never even knew where that money came from in the first place. He said the guaranteed money (which was $120,000 total) was donated but he never said by whom.

We don’t know where he is. Uneek (Luck and Mysonne’s manager) has heard from him several times. He keeps blaming the company he hired to do the text voting by saying they won’t release the results. But the president said that Furqaan never contacted him to get the results in the first place. At this point nobody knows what to believe doesn’t know what to believe. On Thursday he said he was going to release the money and he would call her back, but she hasn’t heard from him since. Uneek even called and left him a message saying she was pursuing litigation, but she still didn’t get a response. Everyone that participated in the battle has been trying to call him for weeks, but he doesn’t respond to anyone. The artists did what they were supposed to do by promoting the battle beforehand and showing up and fulfilling their end of the contract.

About 2 weeks after the battle he sent a text message to everyone saying that the results were in and that they need to meet in person at his lawyers office to fill out paperwork. Some of the participants drove up from Philly only to find out that they were not getting their checks that day and it was just to fill out the papers. That was the Friday before Columbus Day. He said since Monday was a holiday the money would be released on Tuesday, but obviously that never happened. We have since found out that the lawyer he had was just hired for that one day.

We also just heard that Furqaan did a battle in North Carolina last week and those people haven’t got paid either. Ness found out about that battle because some of the participants were from Philly.

As for the mess up with the voting. I have never heard an official result on how many text votes actually counted, but I am hearing rumors that the initial number was greatly embellished and this is one of his known tactics. He obviously made some money, but we don’t know how much because he was charging $20 at the door, $10 for the Pay-Per-View to watch the event online and $0.99 for each text vote.

All the text votes that he said didn’t count were not charged to people’s accounts (to my knowledge).

Here is a quote that you can use from Murda Mook… “This is ridiculous. We had a written agreement that stated if we performed we would be paid. Now after we did our part Furqaan, I mean Frank, isn’t giving us the money that we earned.”Furqaan Clover  was not available for comment.

Scarface: Farewell

Scarface, the rapper, is retiring. We don’t believe him. Sure, Brad “Scarface” Jordan is dropping his 9th proper album, Emeritus, which means retiring but maintaining your title. After 20 plus years in the game and an adherent dedication to putting together words that fit, we’ll go out on the limb and say it’s highly unlikely a man this lyrically gifted, with a devoted following to boot, is going to truly call it quits. There has got to be a King of the South loophole somewhere. However, what is clear is the cause of Face’s ire with the rap industry. Waiting on those checks can be like waiting on babies, to paraphrase Ghostface, while music can be swiftly bootlegged…ahem, downloaded. Also, the glut of wannabe rappers crowding shelf space and flooding inboxes with weak music, according to Face, is ruining the craft. Valid points, and here Face explains why.  Oh yeah, Emeritus drops December 2. You can believe it’s good. AllHipHop.com: You coach Little League football so how would you compare football to the rap game?Scarface: Ain’t no f**king comparison. I hate this s**t and love that s**t. I hate rap but love little league football. AllHipHop.com: Why do you hate it so much?Scarface: F**k rap, you can have it back.

AllHipHop.com: Did you always feel like this?Scarface: Nah, just really here in the past 10, 12 years I just really started hating this s**t. And it ain’t have a motherf**king thing to do with the music part of it, it’s just the bulls**t that come wit’ it. And if s**t don’t go no different then I’m out this motherf**ker, gone.

“It’s so many people making records man I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s f**kin’ 20 millions rappers and a million consumers. It’s like dope now. You got more motherf**kers selling than you got using.”

AllHipHop.com: When you say the bulls**t what are you referring to? Promo tours, going on the road, people talking out the side of their mouths?Scarface: The s**t that I hate man…if the motherf**king money would be there when the money supposed to be there, I could f**kin’ rap forever. As long as that s**t is like it is now, f**k this. Yeah, I ain’t f**king with it, not in that manner. I’ll put some groups out. Like I was telling KRS-One last night man… I remember when it was a f**king privilege man. You felt privileged to get dope f**king records. When Criminal Minded came we felt privileged to get that s**t. When Paid In Full came out, G#######!!! It was the beat. That was the beat of the streets man. Remember that s**t. “Top Billin.” “6 In the Morning.” Motherf**kers was proud to have s**t like that. Now it’s so many people making records man I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s f**kin’ 20 millions rappers and a million consumers. It’s like dope now. You got more motherf**kers selling than you got using. Scarface “High Powered” VideoHigh Powered

AllHipHop.com: It’s almost like it’s too easy to get in the game?Scarface: Nah, the Internet made it like that. And the blank recordable CD people made it like this. Looking at how big of a plot… that can’t be nothing but a plot to destroy the n****s that come up out of the neighborhood, ya know, using rap or using entertainment, I say rap though. I say music period. You got a few n****s that really slide through the cracks to get out the ghetto and end up making something out of theyself and setting an example for other people in the neighborhood to follow. Now it’s hard for him to make his living. We fittin’ to look for something else to do, cause there ain’t nothing in it. AllHipHop.com: Could it be that people aren’t really following the example? They just go after the end product without considering the grind it took to get there?Scarface: Man, to be able to… coming from where I come from and be on the Hip Honors stage, VH1 says a lot. It tells me that any f**king thing can happen. Like a business they look at it like a hustle. It’s not a quality thing no more it’s a quantity thing. Corporate has f**ked this game up. Cause nobody is taking time in making they music no more dude. It’s like we gotta put as many f**king albums out tomorrow as we can. And then the next day we’ll find some more s**t to put out.  It ruined the craft man.

When you look and think of New York City in Hip-Hop you think of where it all began and the quality of music that came out this motherf**ker. And the example that it set for Hip-Hop. For the s**t to turn around like this and turn into something that’s so mainstream like, I can’t even describe it man. It’s heavy. It ain’t no respect in it no more, it’s too easy to get. Like I remember weed, it was a privilege to get some good weed. Now you got good weed everywhere, and everybody got it. It used to be a privilege to get good music, now you can’t find no good music. AllHipHop.com: There’s still good music out there you just have to try harder to find it.Scarface: I’m talking about way back, I’m talking about the Commodores and the Isley Brothers and Maze and Zapp and s**t like that. Find that. I was thrilled to death to see The Roots did all the s**t that they did.  I like that and I take that s**t very seriously man. The craft man. We losing the craft of music. We losing that craft man. How many bands you know of? You remember when everybody had guitars and drum sets and singers, we don’t got that s**t no more. You can’t find that nowhere. There used to be a band every week. Brass Construction, Con Funk Shun. Everybody knew how to play something. Everybody had the gift of music. AllHipHop.com: That said, then why make this your last album?Scarface: I’m through. For those very reasons.

“You get f**ked twice making music these days. The record company f**k you the first time, and then the people that listen to your s### f**k you the second time dude.  There’s no way for the artist to get paid unless you can afford to sell eight million records.”

AllHipHop.com: Is the door completely closed or is it cracked?Scarface: Oh s**t, money talk and bulls**t walk now. But if it ain’t no motherf**king money involved, Bye, I’m done. I ain’t talking about no motherf**king promise either. I’m talking about the real hard copy. AllHipHop.com: Is that how Emeritus came about, the money was laid out? It seems like you’d still make music no matter even if you weren’t getting paid. Scarface: We’ll see. In order to m########### out and deal with this bulls**t, ya know, it’s going to cost. It ain’t no avenue to get paid f**king with this s**t because you can get it for free, ya see? Why do you do it, for free? You get f**ked twice making music these days. The record company f**k you the first time, and then the people that listen to your s### f**k you the second time dude.  There’s no way for the artist to get paid unless you can afford to sell eight million records [chuckle].AllHipHop.com: What about shows; show money?Scarface: I mean, f**k show money. F**k the show money. You need fa sho money. You need mechanicals, you need to make as much money as these g####### corporate offices is making. It’s your talent. You wrote that s**t. F**k them g####### concerts n***a, give me my motherf**king money. All them g####### records, you sold them g####### records, you need to, “Here.”You making songs now and they just popping up on the Internet. N****s is downloading your s**t for nothing and the light bill is due. F**k. That’s why I say I’m gone. I gotta find something else to do. It’s not feasible to stick around. It ain’t no money in it. It’s like selling rocks and motherf**kers ain’t smoking no more. Everybody selling. All the dope fiends got clean and they selling rocks to nobody.

Forgot About Me feat. Lil Wayne and Bun B – ScarfaceAllHipHop.com: So what are you going to do now?Scarface: I’m not fitting to tell nobody what I’m fitting to do. I ain’t going to say that. I’m not going to let nobody go and f**k this one up. By the time they put this s**t I’m getting ready to do on the Internet, I’ll be well taken care of. AllHipHop.com: So you got a definite exit plan?Scarface: The exit plan? What the f**k is the exit plan, the movie?AllHipHop.com: Nah, as far as getting out the rap game. Scarface: I’m fitting to put this in my phone cause this is something I’m fitting to use. [puts it into his iPhone] G####### that’s f**king dope n***a. The exit plan. I’m typing that in there. If you hear it somewhere, shout me out, I’ll thank you for it.

AllHipHop.com: Barack has your vote. Think he can pull it off? It’s looking good right now but…Scarface: I don’t know. I know how white people feel about n****s for real, so I don’t know. I know the powers that be hate n****s. It ain’t no doubt about it. It’s documented. And the bad…the cool part about [it] is the motherf**ker ain’t ashamed of what they did. It’s documented, they not ashamed of it. They like, Yeah I did that to you n***a now what you gon’ do?To see Barack get to a point; you could say they just doing that s**t so a n***a can feel like he have action next time. Give a motherf**ker just enough leeway to make a n***a feel comfortable and knock the edge off of him. Or he could really do it.  He got a lot of people that’s with him and he got a lot of people that’s against him. I’ll say that white people over 50 is voting for McCain. I figure you have a problem with older white people. Younger black people don’t give a f**k. They ain’t thinking about the skin color, they thinking about the issues. You’re going to love this, if I had to vote for the issues, I’d vote Republican. AllHipHop.com: Why so?Scarface: S**t man, when a motherf**ker do finally hit a motherf**king lick you don’t want to give it away. I’m a strong believer if you made it, you should be able to hold on to your money. It shouldn’t be my responsibility to take care of these motherf**kers over [here] because they wasn’t smart enough to go and do what they could have did. AllHipHop.com: So you’re a conservative basically?Scarface: Nah, I just don’t think it’s my responsibility to pay for other people’s medical expenses and s**t and getting taxed over the norm for being successful. You shouldn’t have to pay to be successful. You shouldn’t have to pay extra. You gonna love this…but for color, I’ma vote for Obama. I’m bulls**ttin’ man. [chuckles] Just to see a Black president I’m thinking about my 80 year old grandmother now. Never in her lifetime would she ever expect to see some s**t like this, okay. So that’s one of the reasons why I want to f**k with Obama. Just for that history, just to be a part of that history that voted for that first Black president that maybe could have went all the way. I’m down for doing s**t for my people but I ain’t down to just give my s**t away and not know where it’s going. I’d rather a motherf**ker say okay, you got this amount of taxes to pay, we’re going to do something in [your] community, cool. But not warring against a faceless enemy. I don’t want to pay for that. I don’t want to pay for a bail out. That was you that bankrupted the country b***h, don’t put me in it. AllHipHop.com: What’s your greatest accomplishment?Scarface: I was at a class reunion last night, that was my accomplishment. To see motherf**kers from 20 years ago still f**king loving Hip-Hop. I seen a lot of my old friends dude. That was some good s**t.  I feel like that’s my biggest accomplishment. To be where I’m from and to be among the elite motherf**kers from everywhere else. I feel that. That’s an accomplishment right there. All the rest of that s**t, f**ck that s**t. You can have all that other s**t, just give me last night. I come from a little blue house in a little bitty neighborhood in Houston, TX man. I’m in New York City rapping on Isaac Hayes s**t, and then rapping on Too Short s**t. What else in life can top that? Except maybe f**king [REDACTED]. [laughs] I don’t think nothing else can compare to what happened last night unless [REDACTED] give a n***a some Rock & Roll head. AllHipHop.com: Emeritus, the last joint for real?Scarface: Retire with honor, still holding the position. That’s it. To retire with honor and still hold the position. That’s me. I walked.AllHipHop.com: No loophole? Maybe come back as just Brad Jordan?Scarface: Hey man, I’m telling you money talk, the rest of that s**t got four feet. If there any two ways I can make money in music I’ma go. But other than that I’m sticking to this plan. And by the time the Internet get a hold of this plan it’s going to already be finished and I’m going to already be caked up out of it, okay? Trust me.You right though, Scarface was just there. He was just like lithium. He was smooth right there, he never had a chance to go here. He always stayed right there. And it’s so much more to me in music. It’s way deeper than the n***a spittin’. To me spittin’ is like 4th’dary, not secondary. I want to make that s**t. I can make that s**t. I don’t have to rap to that s**t, I can make it. I don’t have to sample that s**t, I know how to go in there and make that s**t. I can play that s**t. I can create that s**t. So you never know, I can be in a rock band soon. You never know. Funk bands. I love it that much.I don’t love it enough to let that motherf**ka pimp me, though. Music makes more than Face, Face leaves music.
