The 10th Annual LudaDay Weekend hosted by Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges, Ebony Son Management, DTP, and The Ludacris Foundation, once again, took over the city of Atlanta during Labor Day Day Weekend to benefit The Ludacris Foundation. The LudaDay weekend was a 5-day event that was action packed and celebrity filled, all for a good cause. The festivities, which started Thursday are specifically to benefit the rapper’s hometown and led by his Ludacris Foundation. This 5-day event was filled with exciting parties, a collegiate concert, a celebrity basketball game and more for the entire city to enjoy.
On Thursday LudaDay began with a celebrity bowling event at Bowlmor Lanes in Atlanta. Celebrities in attendance included Ludacris, Usher, Big Krit, Keshia Knight Pulliam and more. Celebs went head to head to win money for their charity of choice. A number of music executives were also in the building. Later on that evening, Luda kept the party going with an after party at one of Atlanta’s hottest night clubs- Gold Room, hosted by Luda, Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union.
Early Friday morning, Luda invited his guests to the TPC Sugarloaf Golf Course -a PGA Tour Golf Club, for some bright and early swings on the green sponsored by Bentley Atlanta, CREWS, Chick-Fil-A, Star Club, Grant Hill & Paul Milsap, Chris Tucker, Mayor Kasim Reed, and many of Atlanta’s notable business owners/operators. They all tried their luck on the course in efforts to raise funds for the Ludacris Foundation. Later that evening, Luda hosted his Red Napkin Affair welcome to Atlanta dinner at the beautiful Coca Cola Headquarters, in downtown Atlanta. Larenz Tate, Terrence J, Mack Wilds, Josh Powell, Tahiry Jose, and Laura Govan were among the celebs spotted at the private dinner. Following dinner, Luda along with Angela Simmons, Tahiry, Terrance J, and Angela Yee, hosted the affair at Prive Nightclub.
On Saturday, Ludacris rocked out his free block party at Clark Atlanta with local artists, and celebrities. The block party was presented by Taliah Waajid Natural Hair Care & Fresh Empire. Acts such as Scotty ATL, India Shawn, Bank Roll Fresh and Marissa graced the stage performing their hit songs. Later that day, lifestyle specialist Miss Diddy hosted the Toxic Day party at Gold Room Nightclub with appearances from Lance Gross and Angela Yee, to name a few. Finishing off Saturday’s festivities, Ludacris had Joseph Sikora, Naturi Naughton, Omari Hardwick and LaLa Anthony of STARZ number one show Power, hosted Compound that night.
Sunday morning, the Ludacris Foundation held it’s annual brunch at the Intercontinental Hotel, which joined mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, and celebrities together for uplifting conversations over delicious food. Following brunch, LudaDay Weekend guests headed to Georgia State University for the most anticipated event of LudaDay Weekend, the celebrity basketball game, which was held at Georgia State University’s Sports Arena. This year, Team Luda vs. Team Breezy (Chris Brown) played to a sold out crowd of thousands of fans to benefit The Ludacris Foundation. Professional athletes, John Wall, Kenneth Faried, Iman Shumpert, Lou Williams, Nick Young, Jarrett Jack, along with DeJ Loaf, Migos, K. Camp, Big Tigger, Bambi, and Laura Govan played in the game. After a close game, Luda and his star-studded team took home the trophy for the win. In celebration of John Wall’s birthday that evening, Luda and John hosted his birthday party at Gold Room Nightclub.
Monday was about fun and relaxation as Luda hosted his annual Splash Waterfalls private mansion pool party on Labor Day. LudaDay Weekend continues to expand and engage diverse audiences to bring more awareness to giving back to the youth in Atlanta through The Ludacris Foundation.
